“Amy did a fantastic job taking care of my babies :) she walked Bee, made sure she took her medicine, and gave them both plenty of snuggles. I would absolutely rebook if needed <3”

“Jacqueline was a wonderful sitter! She asked great questions about the dogs before we booked a sitting and made me feel very comfortable before leaving on my trip. She was very communicative, took great photos, and the dogs seemed happy and well cared for! Highly recommend, she did great.”

“Rose is amazing!! She took amazing care of my girls and house. I get a little nervous leaving my reactive dog that has special needs but she did AMAZING with her. She gave me updates all the time and left my house spotless. I highly recommend Rose.”

“I recently moved and was worried I’d lose Neva because they are my (and my dog’s) favorite sitter ever. Thankfully, they are now my go-to sitter for our my dog AND my partner’s dog at our new home. Great communication, takes the cutest pics. Cares wonderfully for our home always. The best.”

“Danielle took great care of our boys and apartment while we were away. She gave us daily updates and adapted quickly to the nuances of our dog and cat. We would be happy to have Danielle back over in the future!”

“Lara was so amazing! She stepped in last minute after our previous sitter backed out and was so amazing with our older 17 year old kitty, who requires daily medication and special food. I could tell they were loved and cared for by the photos she sent and how relaxed they were when I got home. So grateful to have found her!”

“So glad that Carissa was available to watch my babies for a long weekend! She was great with updates and pictures and I felt really good knowing she was there with them. “This is the first time we used Olivia and we were very happy with her services. We will definitively be using her again. She clearly loves dogs and had no qualms dealing with our 2 wonderful, but peculiar, large treeing walker coonhounds.”

“Taylor is awesome! I was going on vacation for a week and my other dog-sitter had to cancel. Taylor agreed to watch Shay for the week and was a wonderful house sitter! Taylor even stuck around for a few extra hours when it became unsure if our flight home was going to be canceled. Shaymus had a great time with her, and it seems like they played quite a bit because he was wiped out the whole next day after we came home! Would highly recommend her!!”

“Anna was great housesitting Ozzy and Coco! She was timely for meet and greets, sent advance communication, and made sure she thoroughly understood our instructions. Ozzy had stomach issues while she was here, and she took everything in stride! She also got some adorable photos of them!”

About: I love animals. Cats, Dogs, guinea pigs, and fish. You name it, I think they're cool. I am diligent, trustworthy, and interested in keeping your pet happy. I've had pets of all sorts my entire life. I can understand from an owner's standpoint how relaxing it is to know your pets are in good hands. There's a level of calm that comes from this that I want to provide for your family. I am an independent contractor working from home and running a budding business in small-business financial care. Right now, my schedule is open as I build my business and am between contracts. I can be available on short notice (2-3 weeks' notice for each care contract). My household includes 2 dogs and 2 cats, whom I watch weekly while their pet parents are at work or in class. We go on daily walks and play often.
“Haley was amazing! She comforted me by sending updates with photos and videos. I knew my two needy dogs were in good hands and it helped me enjoy my trip so much more!”

“I am excited to hire Jenn again in the future. She kept my pets (2 dogs, 2 cats) safe and happy while we were out of town. Her communication was consistent and appreciated. My house was as clean as I left it. There was extra peace of mind knowing she is a veterinary technician. My furry family was in good hands! ❤️”

“Felix was absolutely fantastic! He sent daily pictures and kept us up to date. If you're reading this review. DO NOT HESITATE to book with Felix!!! We will definitely use him again in the future. Thanks, Felix!!”

“Going out of town is easier knowing Patricia will be looking after my "fur baby." She is very attentive to my elderly dog's needs and is great about sending pictures of my dog once in a while so I'm reassured she's in good hands. As a house sitter, Patricia always leaves my home cleaner than it was, and she's great about communicating so I always know what's going on. I highly recommend Patricia!”

“Kat was great. She's clearly comfortable with dogs and took Grace's quirks in stride. Grace is a shelter pup still building trust, and Kat won her over completely by the end of the stay. The house was in good shape when I got home. Gracie would be thrilled to have her over again.”

Jennifer was amazing! My dog is so anxious and stressed and Jennifer was able to sit with her and be with her and support my dog while I was away. She communicated all the time, took pictures, was regularly there for me and my dog! I love her, will def hire her again and use her again. Never felt better having someone watch my dog!
Rachel was wonderful! She took incredible care of my pup, including taking her on lots of fun walks and giving her all the love :) she was also very respectful of my home and sent tons of cute update pictures. Highly recommend and will definitely use her in the future!

Katy was a great dog sitter for our two labradoodles. She was warm, attentive, and clearly a genuine animal lover from the moment we met. Her communication was excellent, appreciated her prompt responses. One of my dogs can be shy around strangers, but warmed up to her quickly. I also appreciated how proactive she was when our tree was damaged by the truck; her help with the solutions and the cleanup went above and beyond. I recommend her services to anyone looking for reliable and loving care for their dogs.

Kelsey was amazing! She stayed at our house for a long weekend and our senior pup was very well taken care of. Kelsey stayed in touch and gave plenty of updates and pictures (which we can never get enough of!) She is very quick to respond, took care of all our Pongos needs and kept our house very clean. I would absolutely recommend booking Kelsey!

Maria and Omar were absolutely outstanding- I can not say enough about how wonderful they were with Fitz. They sent detailed updates and pictures every day, and Fitz ran into an emergency issue that Omar worked overtime to resolve with care. He was so amazing with communication and how he handled everything. I am SO grateful. I cannot recommend them enough.

She took excellent care of our dogs, and we couldn't be happier with her service. When we got home, our dogs were incredibly happy and clearly well cared for. She always kept us updated with photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She even took the time to do a meet-and-greet visit beforehand and was very thoughtful and detail-oriented in everything she did. We will definitely hire her again and highly recommend her 100% to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Jeremy was a good pet and house sitter..He kept us updated and sent frequent photos. Our home and dogs were well cared for. Unfortunately, he had a family emergency which prevented him from completing his stay. He arranged for his wife to take a few days while he was out of town and a neighbor fed and checked on Brooke and Laddie for a few days. I would certainly consider rebooking him in the future. Thank you.

Grace was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Adonis! From the moment we booked with her, she was incredibly communicative and kept us updated with frequent messages, photos, and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She took exceptional care of Adonis and treated him like one of her own. It was clear from every update how happy, comfortable, and well-loved he was in her care. We were especially grateful for her flexibility and understanding when we needed a last-minute emergency booking and coverage. She was accommodating, responsive, and made a stressful situation so much easier for us! We couldn’t recommend Grace more highly and would absolutely trust her with Adonis again in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in North Washington on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 9,003 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across North Washington. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Washington walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Washington maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Washington choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
