Attentive, loving care for your pet
Though I'm newer to Rover, I've been around dogs and pets my whole life. I know first hand how much joy a pet brings and how they are truly part of the family. I welcome the chance to help take good care of your pets and give them lots of love and attention! Unfortunately I lost my dog in my divorce and would love to help others care for their pets to help fill his absence. I've had great experience with Rover to care for my dog in the past and I understand you may be nervous to leave them for any amount of time. I will follow detailed directions, send photos of your dogs daily adventures and happy to do a meet and greet or home tour to calm any nerves. I've personally raised and trained two puppies as an adult, bringing them everywhere with me and frequent walks and runs. Growing up I had 5 dogs and I've pet sat many time for friends' and family's dogs. I have experience with providing medications and grooming.

Ezra had a great weekend with Laura and her kids! She sent daily updates with pictures and was super communicative. I know Ezra was well cared for and happy while we were gone.
Laura did a great job watching our pup! Great communication, lots of photos, and she was super flexible when our flight home was delayed. Will absolutely work with her again!

Laura is seriously the best. As an anxious traveler, she relieves the stress of my dog being ok while I’m away. She always keeps us updated on Luna’s day-to-day activities and moods, including photos. She keeps up with Luna’s constant need for affection and daily walks, honestly better than we can some days. Safe to say that Luna probably has more fun at Laura’s than at home. She is Luna’s favorite sitter for a reason! Can’t recommend Laura more! (:

Schedule
I work from home full time and my dog door and fenced yard allow your pet to go outside as much as they'd like. I've had a dog the past 18 years and they've been a part of my day to day life. I go for daily walks or runs around my neighborhood and have many sticks in my yard that are great for chewing and fetch!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a dog door that allows them to go outside as often as they like into my back yard with a large lawn, patio and shade for hot days. I also have a large crate I used when training my dogs when they were puppies. My home is pet-friendly with a gate to contain them to my upstairs if they are not able to go up and down stairs to the finished basement. I have Ring cameras around the perimeter and secure gates to avoid any escapes. My daughter and son live with me half of the week and every other weekend and they love dogs as well. They've had a dog by their side their whole lives and give them lots of affection. I can avoid giving any people food or scraps as I didn't feed them to my dog. ie I know how to quickly pick up any food that accidentally drops on the floor! :) I also ask that if I am visiting your home, please let me know if there are certain door/gate locks to avoid and provide any keys needed to enter in case a code malfunctions or a particular door handle gets locked. If I am unable to get into your home using the methods provided, I will have to call a locksmith or miss that scheduled visit, both at the owner's expense. I am fine with security cameras; please let me know in advance if you will be survaillancing me, as a courtesy. Please also refer to Rover's guidelines regarding cameras and recordings.
A typical day
A typical day for your pet would include rising early, walks around my neighborhood, play time at the park and sleeping in my home office while I work.
