Growing up in rural Kansas, I was raised on a farm with all types of dogs. I’ve continually had either dogs or cats in my care with a variety of other pets like pigs, horses, rabbits, and cows. I feel comfortable with any type of dog or cat and am continually asked by my friends to help care for and train their dogs.

Drake took such good care of my kittens and sent me plenty of updates. They are semi feral and he did a good job socializing them. I would highly recommend him for any pet who needs some tlc while you are gone!

Drake is the best! He’s been walking Walter for about a year. Today I didn’t haven’t my phone on me and couldn’t let him in the building so he had to leave without walking Walter. When I finally responded to him, he said he’d go over again to walk Walter this time. I wasted quite a bit of his time, and he didn’t complain and still walked Walter! Couldn’t recommend him more.

Drake took great care of my two cats and my home while I was away for a long weekend! I mis-booked the start of the stay, and he was super flexible with the last minute change of plans too!

Schedule
I work a hybrid full-time job that allows me to be flexible with when I need to be in the office. Being an early riser pet care fits comfortably into my morning, but also my afternoons and evenings.

Safety, trust & environment
I will always treat each dog as if it is my own. That means making sure the leash is on when we go out, that they have food and water when they need it, playing and loving on them, and that they are going out to use the restroom plenty! My dog and I try and get at least 1.5 miles for each walk we do and I would attempt to do so with your dog as well. Having had dogs in the past with a lot of energy and the urge to get out and have fun I know how important physical exercise is for dogs of all ages and types.

A typical day
I’d be sure to be taking them on walks, throw on some dog videos on YouTube, play fetch, and take them to the dog park if that was okay with their owner!

- I always like to have an idea of their temperament and how they meet new people so that I don’t scare them when I take care of them. I always appreciate knowing if they have things that upset them or would make them anxious.
