About: I grew up with a golden retriever and a cavachon! I have dog sat for several different breeds, including wiener dogs, pitbulls, and other breeds. I would love to take your dogs out on walks drop in on your cats and give them the attention they need and deserve while you are away or you are unable to get to them. I cannot host animals at this time, but I would be happy to drop in and see yours while you are away on vacation, at work, or otherwise!

About: I am a stay at home mom so i have time to provide excellent care and service. I have always owned pets so I am experienced. I am flexible and can work with any one to provide the needs of their animals. I have experience with a variety of animals including dogs and cats. Growing up I have always had animals in the home starting from dogs going to birds. Care of any animal is always my top priority and love to give updates often. I'm open to pretty much anything. Taking dogs for walks or even coming into your home to ensure your pet is well cared for is always a top priority for me. Animals are a big part of my life and always enjoy being around them. I’m a stay at home mom who can take care of your pet care needs during the day while my kids are in school. I can help on weekends as well with enough notice. I can come to your home when needed for your animal care needs. I can clean litter boxes and give medication to pets if needed. I’m flexible with your needs.
“We literally cannot thank Ginna enough for her effortless ability to care for our two kitties the way we do. We were gone for a long weekend for our wedding & normally we check in constantly. With Ginna, we didn’t have to. She followed our care sheets & sent updates throughout the stay that made us so comfortable, even when we weren’t able to communicate much because of how busy we were. We appreciate you so much, Ginna!”

About: From a young age, I have loved dogs. My California cousins bred Afghans, and I absolutely adored being around all the puppies and dogs. I am comfortable with all breeds. Growing up, I had a Royal Standard Poodle and an English Setter. As an adult, we have had labs. My husband and I trained our labs and I will be happy to provide consistent training if you wish. I am well aware of the crazy energy active dogs have and know how to provide activities to keep them happy. I am an avid hiker and can provide whatever your dogs need for fun and exercise. And truly, if they just want companionship, I love reading with a dog happily snoring. As a retired teacher, I have tons of flexibility. I do also think pets have their own routine, so my flexibility gives allowance for adapting to the dog's needs. Pets will have the ability to access our backyard and not stress about being lonely. Based on the dog and owner, I am able to accommodate to the pet's needs. I can walk/hike with those that need exercise. I am home much of the day as well. I have a large, fenced in backyard as well
“My dog is a very nervous dog and Melina is great with her. We did a meet and greet prior to the first visit. She was so patient with Millie and by the end Millie was asking for pets. We will def keep using Melina.”

I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses under my care as a kid and have continued to be surrounded by pets of my own, petsitting for others, and having pets as roommates. I work full time M-F but have a flexible in office schedule that I can adjust based on when I have scheduled pet services. My weekends could always use some time with pets! I will follow whatever procedures you have in place for your pet and their needs taking into account their exercise needs, relationship to other animals, and dietary requirements.
“Mackenzie checked in multiple times when watching my puppy. He was super responsive and sent photos which was amazing! My puppy absolutely loved seeing Mackenzie. During the first visit he stayed longer than needed so that my puppy could get more use to him being around. Each update was thorough as well. I strongly recommend Mackenzie!!”

“Stephanie is very responsive and kind. She does a great job managing potty breaks, playing with our pup, and showing affection. She's reliable and trusted to execute a perfect experience for our dog.”

“Thank you so much again. I really appreciate that you got the bun some carrots and pee pads when we ran out! It also was really cool of you to drop in twice. We always hate leaving our animals, but I felt they were very well taken of.”

“Vanessa was amazing! This is our first time leaving the dogs and I was nervous about being across the country. Once we left though I knew they were in good hands. I was able to actually relax! About: Hi! I’m Laura, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up on a small farm where I helped care for horses, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and just about every furry friend you can imagine. That experience taught me how to be patient, attentive, and comfortable with animals of all personalities and energy levels. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and am now a proud pet mom to my two cats, Lulu and Loki, and my dog, Odella. I understand how much our pets mean to us because mine are truly part of my family, and I’ll treat yours with the same love and care. I work remotely from my home in Golden, which gives me a flexible schedule for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, medications (if needed), and plenty of companionship. I love spending time outdoors and am always happy to take active dogs on long walks or adventures that match their comfort and energy level. For pets who prefer a slower pace, I’m just as happy to provide cuddles, enrichment, and a calm, reassuring presence at home. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. My goal is for you to feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for every step of the way. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! I work remotely from home in Golden, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and provide attentive care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, or just some extra companionship, I’m happy to accommodate their routine whenever possible. I strive to be as flexible as I can to meet you and your pet’s needs. When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications (if requested and I’m comfortable administering them), and any other special care your pet needs. I work remotely from home, so I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable visits throughout the day. I’ll always prioritize your pet’s safety by using secure leashes and harnesses on walks, respecting your home, and making sure your pet feels comfortable while you’re away. I’ll also send plenty of photo updates and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and receiving the same love and attention I’d give my own pets.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Golden. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
