We especially appreciated how well she handled his complicated medical needs on our most recent trip, after he was diagnosed with cancer — including preparing and giving him multiple medications twice a day, keeping close track of how much food he was eating, washing and replacing his dirty bedding, and taking helpful notes for us in his medical log on each visit. She was punctual (which was important for his medication timing) and sent us photos and updates after every visit. Our cat is super shy and normally just hides when visitors are around, so it was a huge relief to see from Nina’s photos that he was comfortable enough with her to come out to eat and even get some scritches. We were nervous about leaving him under someone else’s care, but he was obviously in great hands and we’d trust her to watch him any time in future. Thanks Nina!!”

About: I have been taking care of animals for nearly 25 years, with 15 of those years in professional settings. I have three large breed dogs in my home at the moment, and grew up with 5 Rottweilers, a Jack Russell, an American bulldog, & a German Shepherd, leading me to rescuing as an adult. Along with our pack, we also did rescuing through Cody‘s club, which is a Rottweiler rescue in Pennsylvania. I have rescued and rehomed over 1000 dogs of all temperaments and feel I have the patience for any personality. I have worked in chains like Petsmart as an animal caretaker and am well-versed in many species. If you select me as a sitter, I will be happy to be the bonus best friend your animal didn’t know they needed! I am currently a stay at home, dog mom. I go to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I am available any other day of the week. I am willing to stay for a week at a time if needed, but will leave the house to go to school. All in all I have plenty of time to spend with your pet and ensure they are getting all of the love and support they need while you are out of the house. I have dogs of all ages with various needs and specialized diets. My animals adhere to a feeding schedule, so I have no problem with ensuring that your pets are fed in a timely manner according to your everyday schedule. I know pet CPR and know where the closest ER vets are in case of extreme emergencies. My oldest bully has seizures, so I am aware of how to handle medical situations and have the ability to remain calm. My oldest dog was also reactive, and I have spent the last 2 years integrating him into his pack. He was our first dog and now lives with a female Doberman and a male American bulldog who are both larger than him with absolutely no issues. I state this because I want to make you aware that I am confident in working with reactive dogs, especially fear aggression towards other dogs. Not all dogs are the same, but I have gone to classes to develop the skills to keep your reactive dog safe on walks. I have a vast background with hundreds of different dogs and want to reassure you that your pup is in the safest of hands with me.
