Hi, I’m Vanessa! I am currently recovering from surgery and unfortunately unable to walk larger dogs/dogs who pull. As soon as I’m cleared to do so, I will be back! I do have tween/teen kids who are happy to be my assistant as long as you are comfortable with that! I’m an animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and exotic pets, including seniors, rescues, and animals with medical needs. Whether your pet needs medication, a special diet, or just a little extra patience, I’ve probably done it! I know how hard it is to leave your animal with someone new. I prioritize communication, consistency, and care that’s tailored to your pet’s unique personality. I’m calm, dependable, and always happy to provide photo updates and cuddles. 🐶 I offer: • Drop-in visits, walks, and overnight care • Experience with dogs, cats, small pets, and reptiles Booking Policies: 🐾 A meet & greet is required for all new dogs 🐾 A complete pet profile is required (behavior, quirks, crate routine, etc.) 🐾 I do not accept bookings without full pet info 🐾 Please disclose if there are any firearms or security devices in the home Currently not offering doggy daycare in my home or house sitting services. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routines. I’m respectful of your space and follow all instructions carefully, from medication to feeding details. I also check in with updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. I ask that you please disclose indoor cameras and firearms when I (or my children) may be around them.

Vanessa took great care of my two cats. She was very communicative and thoughtful about their individual needs. One of my cats is more timid, and she made sure he still ate by moving his bowl to where he was hiding so he could eat where he felt safe. She gave both cats lots of attention, and I felt very comfortable leaving them in her care.
I went back and forth on submitting a review as I know everyone has bad days and/or mix-ups and that things can happen - and I am a very understanding person. But, an issue that occurred was entirely preventable, and could have caused real harm, which is why I felt necessary to post. In my Rover profile for both dogs, I go to great length and detail around their food and feeding schedule, including where to find food and when to thaw it out. In person, I also went over this same detail with Vanessa. When I arrived home from my trip, I found that every single bag of food left in the freezer was untouched. I texted Vanessa to ask what she had been feeding the dogs as no bags had been opened. She responded that she had forgotten about where to find the food until the day before I was due home and she did not see a bag thawed in the fridge (it was in the container I specified) and at that time took a bag out to be defrosted - but that she had been feeding them dry kibble she found in a container in the adjacent room. At no point during the short time I was away did I received a text asking me about food, where it was located, if ok to feed them dry kibble, etc. The dry kibble that was found was not their food, and was from a former foster dog that was on a prescription diet for his kidneys. So, I struggled to write this review as on the one hand, Vanessa is a very warm individual, and I know she was very sweet and caring with my dogs while here. I know they were safe with her as well. But, making an assumption and feeding dogs a mystery amount of a dry food that was never pointed out in person or referenced in instructions vs simply re-reading Rover notes or texting me for a quick answer, is what has not sat well with me. If you have dry food that you leave out on the counter for a cat or dog Vanessa would be a wonderful option for you. If you use meals that are needing to be refrigerated like Farmers Dog or Ollie I could not recommend just based on my experience.
Vanessa does very well checking in on my elder kitties, is good about asking questions for clarity, does meds, and very loving!

Vanessa was great! Took great care of older dog ensuring she got all her meds and food. Got the pups out for a nice walk as well. I would recommend Vanessa to anyone looking for a great dogsitter
