“Becky took great care of my senior cat. She followed medication and food instructions carefully. My cat was happy and calm when I got home, so I know Becky provided ample play time and pets during her visits. She also took out our trash and brought the mail in which was very appreciated.”

“Jordan was great! She did drop in visits for our two dogs for several days and sent detailed, thoughtful updates and plenty of photos. Both pups seemed comfortable with her right away.”

About: I have been in the pet industry for 10 years. I previously owned a small holistic pet supply. I have 4 dogs of my own and a cat. Ever since I was little I had a passion to help animals in some way.I help family and friends offten taking care of their pets when they need help. Im knowledgeable in health and nutrition for dogs and cats and also well aware of different breeds needing certain attention and care. Mornings can be busy. I make sure the dogs get outside for bathroom time right away. My cat is sure to let me know first thing in the morning that he is starving. I have a senior dog and he gets a special wet food diet and is also very vocal about being fed. Supplements after potty and breakfast and then when the weather is nice some outdoor play. We have a fenced yard and lots of space for play. Toys and beds in every room. We keep things clean and spacious. I provide healthy treats and fresh water.
About: Hi! I'm a dependable and caring animal lover who understands that pets are family. I'll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved whether your pet needs a quick drop-in visit or overnight care, I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I know that every pet has their own personality and routine. I'm happy to follow your instructions closely, whether that's feeding schedules, medications (if applicable), walks, playtime, or snuggles and cuddles. I have a friendly dog of my own, so I understand the importance of consistency and positive interactions. If your pet is comfortable around other dogs, that's great - but I'll always prioritize your pet's individual needs and your preferences. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and respectful of your home. You can expect regular updates including photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. I'm an elementary school teacher, so I am available to drop by in the early mornings and after 3:00 pm. On afternoons and on weekends, I have a lot of flexibility. For dogs in your home: If your dog enjoys the company of other dogs, I'd be happy to bring my dog along for a playdate! If your dog prefers to be the only pup, that's completely fine too. I'll tailor each visit to your dog's personality and needs, whether that means walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. For dogs in my home: During the workday, your dog and mine can relax together. In the afternoons and on weekends, we'll enjoy long walks, and if you're comfortable with it, I'd love to bring your dog along on hikes or to the dog park. I want your dog to feel right at home, and if they're used to sleeping in bed, they're welcome to snuggle up with me and my dog at night. For cats in your home: Every cat is different, and I'm happy to care for yours according to their unique personality and routine. Whether your cat loves attention or prefers their space, I'll respect their boundaries and follow your care instructions closely. For your cat's comfort and safety, I would not bring my dog into your home.
“Cole did fantastic with my less than friendly to strangers kitties. He went out of the way to make them feel comfortable with his presence and he did absolutely everything I requested!!”

“Tara was so great sending pictures and really enjoying the time spent with my girls, they were mich less stressed with her coming to visit each day while I was away.”

“Kayli was great! She kept me updated on my kitty by sending pictures and communicating with me everytime she dropped by my RV. She was also willing to meet my cat ahead of time so that she would be less shy around her when I wasn't around. I will definitely ask for her again in the future to watch my cat! Thank you!”

“Jennifer is an amazing Rover employee. She agreed to do a drop-in with little notice and moved around her schedule to schedule a meet and greet. When the day of the drop-in came around and I needed to change the time of the appointment, she was very flexible and easy-going. Not to mention, she took great care of Abby by walking her, playing with her, and making sure her water bowl was full. I will definitely be asking Jennifer to watch Abby again!”
“Sebastian did a great job taking care of Monty, Minnie, and Artie (dog, dog, cat). Monty had just had a suprise health scare and needed medication and Sebastian took care of him. He was smart and judicious with walk lengths in the extreme heat. We will defiantly call Sebastian again.”

“Anna was great! She came over for a meet and greet beforehand and was very attentive, even at our inane requests and routines with our cat. She gave very detailed daily updates when she ended up coming to the house, and that put us at ease. Will definitely book again.”

“Rachael is amazing- she is prompt, courteous, communicative, knoweldgable and so sweet with our 11 week old Chocolate Lab. She has taken wonderful care of her, helped her adjust to her crate with lots of extra help that she went out of her way to do. We trust her in our home and would 100% recommend and will use her again. Thank you so much, Rachael :) - Charlie & The Gibbs”

“This was my second time booking with Sheena & it went great! She was detailed in my cat’s daily summary, included lots of pictures (which I always love), and made sure everything stayed clean for him. I’ll definitely be working with her again soon!”

“Hanna did an amazing job checking in on my dog and cat with my last minute check-in request. Followed my instructions to a T and left the house in great shape. They also went above and beyond, taking care of our foster dog esp. with some complicated health stuff/instructions. Great communication. Will rebook again in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats all my life with my family, and happily care for them still. I’ve even volunteered at the Boulder Humane Society to provide extra care to those who need it most in my community. I’m a recent graduate on summer break with another job where my availability varies. I start up school in the fall and will have weekends and some time after classes to care for your pets! I’ve always had dogs on the bigger side and am not scared to crate a dog if needed. I am capable of handling all sizes of dogs and cats and always aim to provide a safe and comfortable environment for them!
“Julia is an absolute lifesaver! Not only is she amazing with our two cats, giving them all the affection and attention they desperately demand, she has also been incredibly responsive and available when we've waited until the last minute to book a cat sitter. It's so much easier to travel knowing that our cats are in good hands, and Julia has made several vacations that much more relaxing.”

“Kamaile did a great job. Followed directions perfectly, was prompt and communicated each visit. Most importantly our diabetic cat was medicated and fed on time and as directed. He was happy when we got home and seemed to enjoy his visits. We loved the photos! Will definitely book again with Kamaile.”

Charlie helped us out with a last minute booking for our 2 dogs and 2 cats. He was very responsive and great at relaying info to us about what was going on. He was also great with the animals. One of our dogs, who is wary around, even came around somewhat by the end of our trip. We will be booking with Charlie again in the future!

Brenda is a thoughtful, caring, and communicative host! We love when she is available to see our cats during our trips, it feels like they do too! She treats them the way we treat them and we can tell a difference in their comfort when she has come to see them - they are team Brenda and so are we!

Curtis was a great cat caretaker. Our cat is usually leery of strangers, but he took immediately to Curtis. It was so nice to see his daily close-up photos and to hear about Izzy being playful and cuddly with him. Very reliable and communicative. Highly recommend
Sebastian did a great job taking care of Monty, Minnie, and Artie (dog, dog, cat). Monty had just had a suprise health scare and needed medication and Sebastian took care of him. He was smart and judicious with walk lengths in the extreme heat. We will defiantly call Sebastian again.

Colleen was excellent with my one year old cat Sunrise. She was very communicative, showed up at the agreed times, took very good care of him, and left the house very clean. My sweet kitty likes to throw cat litter and water from his dish all over! Highly recommend Colleen for taking care of your kitties! She was also very friendly and nice!

Candy was great for checking in on our cat while we were out of town. She kept him company and shared brief descriptions for how he was doing and photos each time which I really appreciated. The house was safely secured and all of Jabba’s food, water and litter were in good condition. Thank you!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Louisville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
