“Jon kept us informed daily of the well being of our baby while we were out of town. While we weren't able to get the updates everyday, when they cams through the spotty internet service, I knew he was being well cared for, kudos!”

“Rachel took great care of our two active cats during a long holiday trip. It was the longest we left them alone and I was nervous. They seemed happy and well-fed and I was relieved to know that they were in good hands. I would recommend Rachel to anyone!”

“Sara did amazing with my cat! She did drop in visits to administer oral and topical medication and had no problems. I also got an update picture from her every day and she communicated amazingly! I would definitely book again :)”

About: Hi, I'm Lindsey, I am a lifelong dog lover with years of hands on experience caring for playful pups, energetic working breeds, and sweet senior dogs. I currently have a 4-year old mini American Shepherd named Mochi! He’s a trained frisbee dog and the friendliest little shadow. Before him I raised two Australian Shepherds from puppyhood through their senior years. I’ve cared for: Puppies Senior dogs High-energy and working breeds Anxious and shy pups Dogs needing oral medication I believe every dog deserves patient, structured care with plenty of love, enrichment, and outdoor time. I treat every dog like my own. I live on a greenbelt that connects to Coal Creek trail, there are miles of of walking and sniffing at my back door! I work outside the home from 12–3 PM, Monday–Friday but have the option to work from home. ( I will be home full time starting in June 2026), and my husband works from home MWF so your dog will rarely be alone. I’m fully available: Early mornings Late afternoons Evenings Weekends Daily walks, trail adventures, enrichment, and playtime fit easily into my weekly routine. Your dog’s comfort and safety always come first. I offer boarding, walks, and drop-ins, and I maintain a calm, respectful environment for all dogs in my care. My home setup: -Fully fenced yard backing up to a greenbelt connected to Coal Creek Trail (endless sniffing and exploring!) -Dogs welcome on furniture -Two kind, dog-loving daughters (ages 9 & 11) -Just Mochi, a playful mini American Shepherd -Calm home environment Safety practices I follow: -All dogs leashed outside the fenced yard -Crate available if preferred or required -Follow all pet parent routines + special instructions -Frequent photo updates and check ins for peace of mind I do not accept aggressive dogs, but I’m very comfortable with high-energy, playful, or anxious pups.

“Mackenzie is fantastic! She was very responsive and flexible when initially booking. We reached out to her with very short notice and she was very accommodating to make time to do a meet and greet before our schedule trip. She showed up on time for each of our pups check ins and spent the full amount of time with them. I felt such peace of mind leaving our dogs in her care. I would absolutely use her again and recommend her for anyone else looking for care for their animals. She is wonderful.”

“Our boys loved Sloane! Sloane communicated with me in a timely manner and always let me know if the visit times were going to be a little different. She was very easy to work with and I received the cutest pictures of my smiling boys and her while I was on vacation. I felt like I didn’t need to worry with her. Look forward to booking Sloane again when the time comes!”
“Melissa was wonderful with our two cats. Always on time and thorough. Gave our babies love and care. I felt so at ease knowing she was taking care of them. Thank you, Melissa! You are the best! 🙏💖🐈⬛💖🐈⬛”

“Hanna did an amazing job checking in on my dog and cat with my last minute check-in request. Followed my instructions to a T and left the house in great shape. They also went above and beyond, taking care of our foster dog esp. with some complicated health stuff/instructions. Great communication. Will rebook again in the future.”

“Rachael is amazing- she is prompt, courteous, communicative, knoweldgable and so sweet with our 11 week old Chocolate Lab. She has taken wonderful care of her, helped her adjust to her crate with lots of extra help that she went out of her way to do. We trust her in our home and would 100% recommend and will use her again. Thank you so much, Rachael :) - Charlie & The Gibbs”

“We met Tara to introduce Tucker to her and give her the keys to the house prior to leaving. It was as if we had known her for years. Tucker is not one to make up to people but he loved her instantly. Tara sent us pictures of him when she was there which was great. We could not be happier with her and hope to be able to have her back next time we are gone. Thank you for having such a caring attitude.”

About: I’ve had dogs for 15 years, and loved, trained, and raised them from puppy age until the very end. I’ve taken care of friends and family dogs for seven years. I have experience in senior dog care and know how important it is to go at their pace, on their time. I’ll only take on full-day or overnight pets on my days off, which means they will get my undivided attention. Plenty of bathroom breaks, walks, and love. Dogs are allowed on the furniture in my apartment, so just let me know if those aren’t your rules. I live in an apartment with a balcony. There’s plenty of open space in the surrounding area and we’ll go on lots of adventures, as long as it suits your pup! I will always keep your dog on a leash unless you tell me otherwise.

“This was our first time hiring a pet sitter to come do check-ins on our dog and bunny. Our dog is very protective of her environment, but Jessica was not scared off! She came and checked in on our animals twice a day over the Thanksgiving weekend, making sure they went potty and that they always had enough food and water. The best thing was that she sent pictures and videos of our animals during her visits, which my daughter looked forward to receiving every day! Also, she brought in our mail and turned lights on/off around the house on a rotation so it would look like we were home. We would definitely use Jessica again; she's a very solid and trustworthy person, and she is knowledgeable and compassionate toward animals! Great to work with! :-)”

“I was unexpectedly without a cat sitter right around the holidays due to an emergency with my normal person, so I was looking for someone on very short notice. Brittany got back to me within like 20 minutes and came to meet my floofs the next morning! One of my cats is a ball of anxiety (hides from new people and prone to litter box issues and vomiting when stressed, especially if I'm gone), but she didn't have any incidents while I was away! I was so relieved. My other cat loved her. Brittany was very careful to make sure that the cats' routine was kept as close to normal as possible. Her updates were thorough and she sent fantastic photos. I'm extremely thankful for her last minute help and I will be keeping her in mind in the future!”

“Cole did fantastic with my less than friendly to strangers kitties. He went out of the way to make them feel comfortable with his presence and he did absolutely everything I requested!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Erie
Danielle took care of our two cats and did an amazing job - refilled their food, scooped litter and gave one of my cats her daily medicine. We will definitely be using her again the next time we take a trip. It really gives me peace of mind knowing I have someone taking such great care of my cats while I'm away.

Best sitter ever! So glad we found Brittany. She did a great job with our two cats, both of which are very shy and finicky. She also was an excellent communicator, sending pictures and videos and keeping us informed on how our two girls were doing. We can’t recommend Brittany enough, she’s been an excellent cat sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Erie. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
