“Andrea was a great dog sitter and we we will definitely be repeat clients. Our dog Lucy had surgery for a torn ACL six weeks ago so we were nervous to leave her for the weekend. Andrea followed all of Lucy's recovery guidelines and did an amazing job taking care of her and our other dog. We received pictures and updates for each of our dogs every visit.”

“we were visiting CO from out of town and booked Jon to let our 4 bernese mountain dogs out twice one day. he came over for a meet & greet beforehand and the pups all loved him! he communicated well, walked them as needed, fed them dinner & sent great pics! would use again anytime!”

“Adriana, thank you again for spending time with my pup yesterday. I really appreciate the pictures and updates on how she was doing. Will absolutely book you again! Thank you so much!”

“In addition to our usual sitting routine, Rachel made extra time to run over and address a litterbox issue on short notice. Thank you for taking such great care of our cats!”

“Nicole was so great with our pups! She left detailed notes about their visit and when I returned home I could tell she got their energy out and they were left happy after her visit. I would reccomend Nicole and plan to use her again!”

“Kenzie was terrific taking care of our 16 year old cat, Bella! She sent photos, gave me updates every day, brought in our newspapers and a package that was delivered. I will definitely ask her again! Thanks so much Kenzie!”

“Melissa is amazing! She cared for my two cats when I was out and the girls really loved her. She took lots of photos and gave perfect updates on how everything was going. Melissa was very kind to help me out with a few unexpected things as well 💜.”

“Holly and Marc did a fantastic job dropping in on our 3 cats, including one who needs to be medicated with a feeding tube. They connected with our kitties and I have complete trust in their ability to care for them!”
“Katrina was so kind to my hyper boys and was such a pleasure to meet! She went above and beyond for them over a holiday when we had to be away. Would highly recommend her services!”

“Alycia took care of my dog and cat while I was away for a few days and she did an AMAZING job. She even left a thank you note and treats for both of them, a very kind suprise that my kids loved. This was my first time using Rover and I did not know what to expect. But Alycia exceeded my expectations and I will definitely book her again. She was very flexible to my changing schedule and provided detailed updates and pictures of each visit. Very kind and loving pet sitter, thank you!!”

“I have had a difficult time finding a reliable and well communicating dog sitter and I finally found the one, Emma! She took care of my old dog and my very high energy and also leash reactive Labrador. She took lots of photos communicated with a detailed description about every time she saw them and also notified me about when one of them had an accident from an upset stomach. She even played ball in addition to taking them out for a walk every day and went above and beyond so that my dogs had enough stimulation while I was gone. I would definitely use her again. I’ve had over seven different dog sitters because I travel a lot on the weekend and the only one I truly trust now is Emma.”

“Jessica did a great job watching our two huskies, feeding them and taking them out for a walk. She was very communicative and provided updates throughout the stay, we will definitely use her again!!”

“This is our second time booking with Jessica and it definitely will not be our last. She's incredibly responsive and her care for the pets she's looking after is obvious.”

About: I have been a devoted cat and dog owner for many years and have medical experience from my late cat which included glucose testing, IVs, and insulin injections. My husband and I whole-heartedly believe our pets are our family and we're the ones living in their castle. Therefore, your pets will be treated like the kings and queens that they are. My husband and I usually tag team pet sitting, we have opposite schedules so usually someone can always be around if not the both of us! We have a small fenced yard and our pup is bell trained due to us having strictly indoor cats. Any special routines you have in your home we will be sure to follow.
“Cole was great! He came over at the agreed time and let Ivy out, gave her fresh water, and gave her some attention and pats. He also provided us with a few pictures and texted us with an update. He truly is a 5 star sitter.”

“Rachael was amazing with our Leo and he was extremely happy when we returned. She was very responsive and sent us the cutest photos. We would absolutely love to book with her again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Erie
Jessica sent a photo every day showing how Jasmine was doing, which was a comfort to us, as she is a 17 year old cat. And she was very consistent about the timing of her visits, which was the best thing for Jasmine, knowing that she would be fed and see someone consistently. We are very happy with Jessica and will gladly rebook her again.

Best sitter ever! So glad we found Brittany. She did a great job with our two cats, both of which are very shy and finicky. She also was an excellent communicator, sending pictures and videos and keeping us informed on how our two girls were doing. We can’t recommend Brittany enough, she’s been an excellent cat sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Erie. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
