“Ashley did an excellent job taking care of our cat Lily while we were away for 4 days. She followed Lily's special feeding instructions perfectly, sent lots of pics, kept our place tidy, and made sure Lily was well-fed and well-loved. I would be happy to book with Ashley again!”

“Joanie was just wonderful with our dog, Arlow. She was attentive and responsible and really earned both Arlows and our trust. She is so sweet and reliable and we can’t wait to have her back as our sitter! I really felt like i could sit back and enjoy our vacation knowing Joanie was taking care of our puppers. 🖤 10/10”

“Sue was great. She made sure our kitties got lots of love and treats while we were away. She was thoughtful enough to ask about taking precautions for freezing pipes in the subzero temperatures. Highly recommended!”

“Daniella was amazing!! She came over to meet us before our trip and the dogs immediately loved her. She sent us pictures and updates each time she came over and never did I worry or wonder about how the pups were doing. She's extremely friendly and trustworthy and I will definitely be hiring her again in the future.”

“Sally was very friendly, communicative, and thorough, and she was great with our bunnies and anxious cat. We had told her about some signs to look for from past medical problems, and she was sure to update us about that every day. I'd highly recommend her!!”

“Olivia was wonderful! She was able to come last minute to take care of George. She fed and took him on a long walk, played with him, and sent us a bunch of photo updates! We will definitely use Olivia again when we need a drop-in visit!”

“I have a very busy on-call schedule working to respond to national disasters and provide service for first responders with AT&T. Katrina has been amazing, and was willing to work with me through some of the hardest moments so I knew my pets were in good hands while I was away.”

“Very professional and great deteailed report. One of my cat, which I thought was going to be shy, came out to really like her. The other one came out to me very shy, but its all due to her PTSD. Over all, extremely please with the service. Thank you”

“Our kitty has always been shy of people; however, after only two days our Ruthie girl let Bridgett per her and was purring for her! Bridgett must have a way with cats and I would recommend her to anyone!”

About: Animals have always been an important part of my family. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs and cats in both Florida and Ohio. While I’m new to the Longmont area, I’m not new to pet care, and I’m looking forward to meeting pets and their owners here in Colorado. Whether your furry companion thrives on high-energy walks or quiet home companionship, I tailor each visit to match their routine and personality. I am recently retired, so I have plenty of time to walk your dogs or make drop-in visits to play and care for them in your home. I am available both weekdays and weekends. I’m comfortable and familiar with dogs of all sizes, from small companions to big, energetic dogs that love the outdoors. Whether your dog needs an easy neighborhood stroll, a longer walk, or just some extra attention and companionship, I’ll tailor each visit to their age, personality, energy level, and normal routine.
“Mary has great experience with cats and is incredibly thoughtful and caring! I appreciated the rapid communication and willingness to help as things came up. I would absolutely work with her again and recommend!”

“Kristen is so great with our special needs dog! Bindi really struggles with tolerating the presence of people; she’s incredibly fearful. But Kristen has been so patient and gentle, and we’re so grateful for the progress Bindi has made with her.”
“Sarah is amazing with our boys!! They gather around her and stay by her side during every visit and her photos are amazing. She cleaned up little cat messes even though we said not to worry about it and noticed the neighbors putting out the trash so asked if we needed the same. She is attentive, kind, and the best sitter we’ve ever had. The cats were so happy when we got home!! Thank you, Sarah!”

Able to cater to any and all of your dogs needs - personal care (i.e. baths), exercise (i.e. hikes or dog parks), and sharing lots of love to keep them happy and comfortable. I work in Berthoud but live in Longmont, so I am available to work on the front range and I’m close to the mountains too! Typically in town during the week if I’m not traveling for work. Weekends are typically open! Willing to be flexible and work with you and your dog’s lifestyle to ensure the highest quality of service. Hoping to meet you soon and ready to take the best of care of your little (or big) one! :) P.s. also experienced in providing care for other species of pets (i.e. birds, cats, chickens, reptiles, etc) I currently work full-time but have flexibility in early mornings and anytime after 4 pm on week days. Weekends are more flexible overall for me! I take safety seriously to make sure pets stay happy and healthy in their environments. Building trust with a new person in their space is important!
“Holly is amazing! She takes such good care of my puppy, Kevin! She is punctual, efficient, communicative and super caring and fun with Kevin😊 Simply put, a working dog dad’s dream! Thanks so much Holly!”

Olivia is amazing! My dog Millie was immediately enamored with her during our meet & greet, and she was even able to coax out our more antisocial cat, Percy, for some attention! We had a great experience and would absolutely book with Olivia next time we need someone to watch our fur babies

Morgan went above and beyond taking care of our cat! She even came back one day when she didn’t see our cat during her regular check in. Our cat was incredibly happy to see us, but far less needy than when other sitters have taken care of her. We just booked Morgan again for our next trip :)

Samantha did an excellent job with my two cats while I was away. She spent a good amount of time playing with them, promptly updated me on any kitty problems that arose, and sent plenty of well taken photos to keep me in the loop. It was very reassuring knowing that my cats were being well taken care of, and the notes left were very insightful. I would most definitely book again! Thank you!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Niwot. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
