“Very professional and great deteailed report. One of my cat, which I thought was going to be shy, came out to really like her. The other one came out to me very shy, but its all due to her PTSD. Over all, extremely please with the service. Thank you”

“Bridgett took excellent care of our furr babies while we were away for a week. This was the longest we have been separated from them and it a great reassurance to have Bridgett care for them. Bridgett was very communicative and observant and spent lots of quality time with our cat and dog. I highly recommend Bridgett for your loved ones.”

“Vicki has been a true joy! She did two drop in visits a day for our two girls Osita and Calcifer (cats) while we were out of town. We had a special situation as our parents live with us and would be there during visits and she was equally kind and affable to them. The girls loved all the play and cuddles so much that they've brought us their toys in expectation of Vicki's play routine! We have already booked her for the second leg of our trip. Couldn't have asked for a better hooman 💕”

“We had a last minute type of situation, and Katrina was very communicative, to say the least! She provided care for our pup in our home sending lots of great pictures. We would highly recommend Katrina!”

“Zach and Ellie did an amazing job taking care of my cats. One of my cats has a medical condition so they gave him his daily meds. They fed the cats, cleaned the cat litter and all the accidents that my sick cat unfortunately has, played with them and gave them lots of affection. I got daily reports and lots of pictures.”

“My boys have unique medication needs. Sing was so detail oriented and took notes of everything. I felt so confident knowing she'd take great care of them. Normally I'm nervous when I leave my boys but not this time. She took such great care of them and the boys adore her. I think she's the best sitter I ever had. You can trust your dogs to her, they will be in the most excellent hands”

“Tara was wonderful with our 11 week old puppy during daytime drop in visits. She’s a great communicator and sent very detailed updates/pictures. We could tell our puppy was well taken care of when we got home. We look forward to having her sit for us again!”

“Janelle is the absolute best! I had never hired a pet sitter until I hired Janelle and was initially a little nervous. However, Janelle exceeded my expectations and then some. She communicated with me the whole time, even went to my house twice a day to check in on my kitty who got a little sick while I was away. She even made a little house out of a cardboard box for my kitten to play in which she loved. If you love your pets as much as I do, give yourself some peace of mind when you travel and trust Janelle to care for them. I will absolutely reach out to her again the next time I go out of town.”
“Rachel was very responsive and easy to work with. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our cats were in good hands with her. We appreciated her updates and photos of our boys during each visit.”

“Genna took wonderful care of my 2 cats while I was out of the country. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure everything was going well while I was away. It gave me real peace of mind knowing my cats were in such good hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and dependable sitter.”
About: Hi, my name is Zoe! I have always had pets in my house, currently I have two dogs and a cat at home. I have been pet sitting since around 2016, where I started pet sitting for my neighbors which were an either cats, dogs or a bearded dragon. Most recently I started pet sitting more with dogs, cats and farm animals which include horses, pigs, sheep, chicken and more. I have experience giving medicine to dogs or cats along with being able to take care of a lot of pets at a time! I do go to school during the week, for me I am most free during Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and the weekend. I can fit pet care in during the week in the early morning, mid day and in the evening, so weekdays need to be more flexible with a schedule. While during the weekend I can go more with others schedule. Overall, I would love to find time in my schedule to get to know your pets and take care of them! I treat my pets very well. I like to snuggle with them and play with them. I also like to walk my dogs and do the cat's litter. While for other people's pets, I treat them in a loving way like they are my own pets. I give them lots of love and attention, if dogs walk them, if cats play with them and the other pets I have watched mainly fed them but also pet some of them.

I live right across from a park that I walk my dogs around and, it has many baseball fields that I like to let them run in. In a clients home, I will be sure to keep it well organized, and clean. There will be no mess or remnants for you to clean up when you get home. I will make sure your pet is happy well feed and hydrated and will take every precaution to keep them and your home safe. Your pet will be happy and tired from our playing time as I will always try to put there entertainment and health first. By trusting me to be in your home I will respect any boundaries you set and will always be well organized and on time for any service.
“Daniella was amazing!! She came over to meet us before our trip and the dogs immediately loved her. She sent us pictures and updates each time she came over and never did I worry or wonder about how the pups were doing. She's extremely friendly and trustworthy and I will definitely be hiring her again in the future.”

“Olivia did a great job with drop-ins for our pups! She was there when we requested and had no trouble navigating our two large kiddos through the mealtime routine. I could tell by the pictures that the dogs were comfortable and interacting with her. We'll definitely request her help again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hygiene
Vicki was very sweet towards our 2 cats. I was very nervous about leaving them behind as it was the first time they’ve been alone for that long, and alone with a stranger, but Vicki was very kind and gentle with the cats and was patient. She even got my very anti social kitty to come out. I also loved the updates she gave and all of the photos of my kitties she sent. I highly recommend Vicki if you want a good pet sitter :)

Chloe took incredible care of our cats while we were away, and honestly went above and beyond. Our cats aren’t the most social creatures, but they warmed up to her quickly — which tells you everything you need to know. She kept their routines steady, sent thoughtful updates, and made the whole experience completely stress-free. It’s such a relief knowing someone this reliable and caring is watching over your pets. We came home to happy cats and a tidy house, and we couldn't be more grateful. Highly recommend Chloe to anyone who wants true peace of mind while they’re gone.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hygiene. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
