About: Hello🐾 I’m Karys. I’m a full time college student with hands on experience in veterinary medicine and animal shelters. I am passionate for animal care and love giving pets personalized attention so they feel comfortable and happy in their own routine. I harness trained my cat for outdoor walks and car rides, which is something we both enjoy and makes spending time together fun and engaging. I like taking pets out on little adventures, like an afternoon hike/ trip to the park, or a quiet afternoon on the couch together watching a show. I have open availability! I’m a full-time online student with a self-paced schedule, so we can coordinate days and times that work best for both of us. I have open availability! “Thank you for taking such great care of Milo! So thorough and helpful! Very much appreciate your close attention and wonderful care while I was out of state!”

“Khristina was absolutely great with my two cats. She went the extra mile to make sure they were perfectly comfortable and content. She updated me with everything she did and sent plenty of pictures that gave me peace of mind while I was away. I will definitely be using her if I have to go away for an extended period of time again. I would have no worries with her watching them both again or any other animals that I have.”
“Our dog seemed happy when we got home. House was exactly how we left it. Our door lock was messing up and Gayle immediately contacted us and we were able to work it out. Happy to have someone nearby. Would book her again.”

“Nicole helped keep my new border collie company for a couple drop in visits while I was away long hours at work. She was communicative and responsive and I know Logan loved it! Thanks Nicole!”

“Claire has the calmest and most gentle demeanor and Chloe instantly took to her. She was very easy to communicate with and we are already planning to use her again this week!”

“We had a last minute type of situation, and Katrina was very communicative, to say the least! She provided care for our pup in our home sending lots of great pictures. We would highly recommend Katrina!”

“Can't say enough about how great Christina was with Kit-Cat! This was the first time leaving her alone & we were hesitant... Christina's warmth & love of animals was apparent from our first meeting. Searching for a reliable cat sitter can be stressful, but she made the entire process seamless. She provided consistent updates, which gave us great peace of mind. Thank you Christina!!!”

“Our kitty has always been shy of people; however, after only two days our Ruthie girl let Bridgett per her and was purring for her! Bridgett must have a way with cats and I would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve been taking care of other people’s pets since I was 15, and working on Rover for about a year and a half. I know how important our fur families are and would love to be there to support your dog(s) and/or cat(s) while you are away. I have experience with multiple breeds of dogs, such as Pit Bulls, Greyhounds, German Shepherds, Shih Tzus, Beagles, Golden-Doodles, Schnauzers, Chihuahuas and all sorts of mixed-breeds. All ages welcome, as I have experience working with dogs from ~3 months to 16 years old. Additionally, I have experience working with dogs and cats with disabilities and special needs, such as blindness, deafness, heart murmurs, joint issues, hip dysplasia, and thyroid conditions. I’m experienced in providing oral medication, eye drops, and vitamins/supplements. I am highly attuned to the ways pets express their feelings of joy, love, and fear. I use this knowledge to support my care for them and am responsive to the ways they communicate their comfort levels. My main goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your pets to thrive while you are away. I care for the animals I sit for as if they were mine! I know the pet parent’s experience is just as important and send pictures, videos, and detailed updates daily to ensure they know their families are getting amazing care while they’re away. I work from home and can easily transition my workstation to any place necessary. Most of my plans I have are flexible and local. I love going on walks and spending time at home reading/crafting. I update my calendar regularly on Rover to ensure it’s correct for ease of use. I am happy to provide care in client’s homes and keep it clean as if it were my own place. The families I work with often comment I left their homes cleaner than when they left. I’m happy to help water plants, grab mail, take out the trash, bring in packages, and anything else that helps take care of your home while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule and can easily keep your fur babies on their feeding, walking, and bathroom schedules.

About: While my experience caring for pets professionally is limited, I worked in healthcare for a short stint out of high school, delivering medical oxygen supplies to peoples homes, and setting up the equipment for patients. One of my favorite parts of the job was when the patients had pets! Frequently, their pets warmed up to me as soon as I was welcomed in to do my work, which would always brighten up my day. Of course, I have pets myself. I've been caring for my cat, Winslow, for about a year and a half now. He's fantastically affectionate and he's been an excellent companion in my home. I also help my parents with their cats, since I live with them at the moment. As one last note, at my last job I attained a CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Human focused, of course, but I stilled learned the signs of a crisis in living beings and what to do when life hangs in the balance. I hope never to have to use said skills, but if a pet has a delicate health situation, I am equipped to get them the help they need if things take a turn for the worse. I am between jobs at the moment, so my schedule is about as open as it gets. I have my own responsibilities to tend to with my cat, but my parents can take care of him if your furry friend needs me around all day. First things first is a meet and greet to make sure your pet is comfortable around me. Once your pet and I have made each-other's acquaintance, we'll talk about how you usually go about caring for them yourself so we don't throw a wrench in their habits. If you're having me spend time in your home, we'll talk about how you expect me to conduct myself while house sitting.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mead. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
