About: Animals make life so much better, and I’ve been looking after them as a side hustle for 20 years. I work full time at a library in Northern Colorado. I work full time Monday through Friday. Prefer to stay over with your animal so their routine isn’t disrupted. Love going for walks with dogs, and will make sure they get some exercise before and after my shift. I have extensive experience staying over with animals in people’s homes and am a respectful and cozy houseguest. Always happy to learn the particulars of each home.

About: I’ve been pet-sitting for friends and family over the past few years, and it’s become something I truly enjoy. Most pets warm up to me pretty quickly, and I enjoy giving them the attention, care, and love they deserve. I like to get dogs out for plenty of walks. I’ve found that regular exercise is one of the best ways to keep them calm, especially if they are anxious while you’re gone. Cats will get lots of petting and playtime as well. I know that leaving your pet in the care of someone new can be a leap of faith, so I’m happy to send plenty of pictures and updates. At the end of the day, I treat every pet like they’re my own and want you to feel confident they’re in good hands while you’re away. My routine is flexible and centered around each cat’s needs. I typically start the day by feeding them, giving any medications if needed, and spending a few minutes offering attention and affection if they’re in the mood. I know every cat has a different personality and routine, so I’m happy to follow whatever schedule they’re used to. Some cats love company and plenty of petting, while others prefer a quiet day and their own space. I’m comfortable with both and let each cat set the pace while making sure they’re well cared for and comfortable. I know that trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I make it a priority to follow your instructions closely (a written list is extremely helpful), keep your cat’s routine as consistent as possible, and make sure they always have fresh food, water, and a clean litter box. I’m attentive to any changes in behavior and will communicate with you promptly if I notice anything concerning. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your cat is happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I treat every home with respect and always leave it just as I found it.
“This was our second time booking Amber to check in on our cats and she's wonderful! She sends so many pictures and I feel confident that my cats are well taken care of when we're away :)”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I have owned multiple dogs and have always been in charge of them. I have helped train my pets and have watched my neighbors and friends pets! I have been a nanny who had to take care of two dogs and helped out with two other dogs! I love to spend time with dogs and cats, and play with them! I am athletic and don’t mind running around with pets. I am a full time student right now. But I have a lot of free time with my schedule. I have class on The weekends, but am available during the week. When I am in charge of a pets I understand that their needs are generally the same as ours, and they need to be taken care of. I am willing to make commitments work! I am very respectful of other’s space and personal life. I understand that there is a boundary when it comes to being in someone else’s home and private space. I want to create a safe environment for both the client and myself!
“Can't say enough about how great Christina was with Kit-Cat! This was the first time leaving her alone & we were hesitant... Christina's warmth & love of animals was apparent from our first meeting. Searching for a reliable cat sitter can be stressful, but she made the entire process seamless. She provided consistent updates, which gave us great peace of mind. Thank you Christina!!!”

“Shannon took amazing care of my cats, even my diabetic cat that needs insulin by injection. She was so nice and sent updates and photos. Will definitely book her again!”

“I can’t thank Brenna enough for her help. I had a last-minute family emergency and she stepped up immediately to care for my dog and two cats. She was incredibly reliable and professional throughout the entire stay. It’s a huge relief to find someone you can trust with multiple pets on such short notice. Everything went smoothly, and I will definitely be booking her again!”

“Amy has been so great with our dog - he loves her! Amy has always communicated clearly with me regarding scheduling and how our dog was doing. She has always been more than willing to pick up last-minute check-ins for our dog when my schedule changed. I knew I could rely on her in a pinch. I would highly recommend her to those on Rover looking for a reliable dog sitter.”

“Rebecca and Arri were wonderful. They were willing to complete a meet and greet with the kitties before accepting the visit. Though they didn't watch the dogs they interacted with them at the meet and greet. After the walkthrough of the house they asked relevant and thoughtful questions about our kitties care our nerves had us forget. During the visit they always showed up,sent a Rover card, and a little description of their time with the cats. One of our cats is higher energy and can become overstimulated easy. They were patient and understanding requesting advice and accepting suggestions. They implemented those suggestions which made a measurable difference in our kitty's comfort and theirs. We plan to hire them again for socialization and walks with our pups very soon! We recommend you do the same!”

About: I've had my own dog since I was 10 years old. I've had experience with different sizes and breeds. I really love walking dogs and believe in being firm but gentle in training. I lost my favorite dog of all time in 2024 and have not been able to get a new dog friend as we are caring for my husbands parents now. I would love to be able to help others with their fur babies during this time! Dogs are very often drawn to me as I am calm and confident and enjoy being around dogs of all sizes. I am currently looking for part time work and have time to check in on fur babies throughout the day. I am available to walk dogs in the early morning and late afternoon. “Our kitty has always been shy of people; however, after only two days our Ruthie girl let Bridgett per her and was purring for her! Bridgett must have a way with cats and I would recommend her to anyone!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Campion
We were a little uneasy using the Rover app for the first time but needed a last minute sitter for our dog and cat. Linda was amazing and exceeded expectations. She took great care of our animals, communicated with us and followed up multiple times throughout the visit. Our dog was a little timid at first but quickly warmed up to Linda and loved the attention. Thank you and we will definitely book again ❤️

Danielle is amazing! She is very sweet and kind to our kitty Ivy who is super shy. She has managed to bring her out of her shell a bit. She is always on time, stays for a long while with Ivy and sends me many pics and notes. We are so glad to have found her and highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
