“We had a wonderful experience with Hannah as our dog sitter! She was communicative throughout (before and after as well) the stay and sent a great amount of photos and updates, which gave us peace of mind without being overwhelming. She also did a wonderful job navigating our older dog's needs while managing a small space with other, more challenging dogs that live in nearby apartments. Hannah also took wonderful care of our home and communicated throughout regarding anything she used or needed. We really appreciated the care and attention she gave our sweet pup, and we can't wait to book with her again!”

“Ali was wonderful to work with and hung out with my furry babies during the holiday week. Ali was super responsive and worked with me on how often to send updates, confirming schedules. I would 100% work with Ali again!”

“Gwen is amazing! She took care of Rocco just as I would and I could tell he misses her. She was very communicative and shared plenty of updates. Was quick to respond and made sure Rocco was getting tons of love.”

“Danielle was great! She was kind, had good communication, and sent pics each day. We will definitely keep her in mind for future trips we take and we recommend her services 🙂”

“Kenna was reliable, communicative, and gave us peace of mind from her very first visit. We appreciated the pix and updates knowing our cat and dog were in good hands. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and a house that was just as we left it. It’s clear that Kenna genuinely cares about the animals she looks after and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable pet sitter!”

“Karys is amazing! She stayed in our home with our pup for 5 days and gave us photos, videos and updates everyday. Our home was perfect and our dog happy! HIGHLY recommend ❤️”

“Mark was incredibly conscientious and great with our animals. He took the time to do a meet and greet and gave us great updates. I felt like he went the extra mile in every way, would recommend to anyone!”

“Becca was wonderful when I had a last minute trip come up. She was won over my dog quickly and I had all the confidence that he was in good hands. I would definitely recommend Becca to care for your pets!”

“If I could give him 10 stars, I would. I have a reactive dog who doesn't like the neighbor's dog, so I was nervous. It couldn't have gone better. He sent updates every morning and night. Plus, I think my dog may like him better than me lol”

“Tiffany did a great job with house sitting and taking care of our senior Labrador. We appreciated all of the photos and updates and she helped out when we got an unexpected package. We will continue using her services and appreciate her help.”

“Brooklyn has been amazing in caring for our dogs, cats and guinea pig. We have used her for many walks And now a multi day/night trip. She kept us updates and stayed at our house which was a big relief to know our dogs were taken care of even during the night.”

“Scarlet was very attentive to the needs of our pets, sending pictures and updates. She left the house clean, started the dishwasher, and washed the sheets that were on the bed. We will definitely use her again.”

“Aj is awesome! She’s cared for my dogs multiple times and every time she takes care of them like if they were her own. She is great a communicating and giving updates as well.”

“We were in a last-minute bind with an unexpected puppy and nowhere to board her and our other dog for a week (our puppy hadn’t had all of her shots yet). Dillon scheduled an impromptu Meet and Greet the day before we left. And was able to come to our house and watch all of our animals. I was very nervous to have a stranger in our home but I read all of the reviews on Rover and took a chance. Dillon is very mellow - as is his pup. We were grateful Dillon (and Bucky) were a good fit in our situation.”

“Wow Alma was AMAZING with my little guy while we vacationed for a week (she also cared for my fish). He can be very tricky and she was so patient and good with him! She sent lots of updates and pics and checked in with us. Really put our minds at ease. Alma also has a great sense of humor and is a wonderful person. Left the house immaculate! HIGHLY recommend Alma - would re-book without hesitation!”

“Mariah was great to have, we had her watching our dog for 2 weeks, she was great at communicating with us and we never had to worry about our dog. We knew he was in great hands!”

“Andrea was great with our two dogs over the holidays! She made time to come do a meet and greet and then stopped by again before our trip to make sure our dogs would be comfortable with her staying at our house. She always arrived on time and made sure to follow our instructions. Would definitely recommend!”

“Samuel house sat for our pooch and she was very well cared for. He sent us pictures of her and updated us while we were away. He was friendly, respectful and we plan to use his services again.”

Kenna was punctual, communicated well and our fur baby loved spending time with her! Our pup has a medication regimen that Kenna executed well. Kenna also sent us pictures throughout the weekend. We will definitely use her again in the future. Thanks, Kenna! We appreciate you!

I had Kathy come stay with my 3 Furkids for 6 days. She’s great! I got pictures of the kids. She lucked up mail, made sure I had mor milk after mine expired! Trimmed up my plant. I didn’t have to worry about anything! She made it possible for me to relax and enjoy my get away! 🥰🥰
Chloe responded quickly to my need for a sitter due to an emergency. I was not able to call her until the night before and she agreed to sit for me the next morning, early, for the day. It meant the world to me to have time with my husband in the hospital, and to have my dog taken such good care of!

Holley was wonderful! Taking care of two Brittanys is not an easy task. It's been awhile since we left our pack at home. She kept us updated and sent photos. We will be hiring her again when we need a sitter. Highly recommend her for your fur babies. I would give her 10 stars if I could. We had a few special request and they were fullfilled. Earl and Reggie even decided to sleep in her room. Thanks Holley you were GREAT!!

Katyja was amazing with our 3 large rowdy labradors and cat. She was very responsive and very caring. She even kept us updated when the temperature was dropping outside and let us know that temp in the room we keep our dogs kennel in was getting cold and offered to put them somewhere else. Would definitely recommend her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Campion walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Campion maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Campion choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Campion. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
