“Ali was a fantastic dog sitter for our two pups. She watched them overnight for 8 nights while we were away for our wedding. It was so nice having someone as caring as Ali watch the dogs because we were barely on our phones all week. I definitely recommend booking with Ali!!!”

“Hannah was excellent — our first time booking with her and we'll definitely be back. She was on time every visit and stuck to our schedule exactly as agreed. We have 3 dogs with meds and supplements to manage, and she handled all of it without a single mix-up. She sent tons of photos and kept us updated throughout, so we always knew how things were going. She also left our place spotless, which was a huge relief coming home from vacation. Our dogs loved her, and we felt completely at ease the whole time. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of every kind for 10 years. As a therapist with a flexible schedule, I bring a calm, patient energy to pet care and always give dogs plenty of attention and exercise. As a therapist, I set my own hours, which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care. I’m reliably available for walks, drop-ins, and boarding throughout the week and on weekends. My home is a comfortable, pet-friendly environment — I have a dog and two cats of my own, so your pet will have friendly animal company and be cared for the same way I care for my own pets.

“Grateful Amy was available and willing to house sit with a last minute request for my two dogs. Frequent updates with photos of the pups was much appreciated knowing they were being well cared for. I would definitely book Amy again.”

“Danielle pitched in at the last minute when another sitter cancelled. I was going to Guatemala and felt at ease right when meeting her. Danielle is very kind and definitely experienced. She was patient with one of my pups who can be quite reserved. My home was in great condition when I arrived after a long day of travel.”

About: I provide comforting care when you can't take your fur babies with you. I give peace of mind so you know your pet is having a positive experience with me and that your home is safe and secure. I understand that each pet is different and has routines and needs of care which I will always follow. Having had pets of my own, I appreciate the individuality of each animal and feel confident in giving them the space they need or the affection they desire. From me they will always get what they need and feel cared for. I have had the opportunity to care for large and small dogs, a cat who people were afraid of but who eventually happily coexisted with me. I work full time as a remote worker so I can provide in home pet first care with ease. My work and schedule is flexible, which allows for pet care to be added into my day with little disruption to me or the pet. When I am with a pet in their home, their routine and needs come first. Besides the instructions or guidance I am given about the pet, I observe and engage with the pet to learn about them and make them comfortable and happy while I am in their home.
“We are so glad that Shelly was our house/dog /cat sitter while we took a 2 week vacation. Preparing for our trip, Shelly met with us several times to get to know us, our home, and our pets. While we were out of the country she stayed in daily contract with us, sending pictures to let us know that Ginger and Timmy were being well cared for. On our return, the house was clean, plants and yard were cared for, and our animals were super happy. Thank you Shelly for making our vacation a bit more carefree.”

“Brooklyn did an amazing job with my animals and they were so comfortable with her! She was excellent at checking in and updating me about them and making sure everyone is happy. Will definitely book again!”

About: Animals make life so much better, and I’ve been looking after them as a side hustle for 20 years. I work full time at a library in Northern Colorado. I work full time Monday through Friday. Prefer to stay over with your animal so their routine isn’t disrupted. Love going for walks with dogs, and will make sure they get some exercise before and after my shift. I have extensive experience staying over with animals in people’s homes and am a respectful and cozy houseguest. Always happy to learn the particulars of each home.
“Rory was fantastic! 11ish days with my temperamental chi and his 4 kitties... I will definitely be keeping her on my shortlist for future trips! Rory sent pics and videos during my trip to help ease my anxiety of being away from the babies. I can tell my brood had a good experience!”

“Chris was wonderful. She responded quickly to our initial request and was very easy to communicate with. She gave us confidence that she would be a good match for our dog who can be a bit timid at times. Chris stayed in our home and we felt very confident having her stay over. Would highly recommend Chris.”

“Sierra was very friendly and treated our dog Sadie very well. It was challenging for all of us because our dog Sadie is still a puppy of 71/2 months and we haven’t left her alone with someone else overnight. So a one night trial to see how she would cope. Sierra fairly new at dog sitting did well, our house was as we left it and Sadie had been taken good care of. We plan on using Sierra in the future for another one nighter to get our dog accustomed to being left with a sitter and we are looking forward to a longer vacation.”

“Gwen is amazing! She took care of Rocco just as I would and I could tell he misses her. She was very communicative and shared plenty of updates. Was quick to respond and made sure Rocco was getting tons of love.”

About: I have had a long time experience with doggys I grew up with them as family and have had family pets who we had from when I was young to when they were old and ready to pass on I never got over losing them I have had many moments of walking, taking care of them health wise, brushing teeth, grooming, giving baths ,maybe haircuts I'm not certified but I will leave that up to you but my specialty is cuddles and playtime outside or in I want nothing more then to give you a peace of mind for my work and to make another furr baby happy I am not working right now I can fit in time with the pets to exercise and other activities I play with my dogs at home in the back yard until they are tired out but I live e excise time with the pets I am not offering my home but I will make sure for your pets at your home are well taken care of and watched over and fed and what any other service we agree on I'm on it or if not what your rules are for your furr baby but we can discuss more into that when the time comes just know I have always been good with animals as long as your pet is ok with strangers I can provide the care and love for them
“Mark was incredibly conscientious and great with our animals. He took the time to do a meet and greet and gave us great updates. I felt like he went the extra mile in every way, would recommend to anyone!”

About: I’ve always taken care of dogs by word of mouth for friends and neighbors. I’m a nurse, so very comfortable giving any medications needed, and I have taken care of special needs and elderly pets. I work four days a week. Close to home so on the off chance I’m working I can always do a mid day potty break and walk. I’m off all weekends with my 6 year old girl. We are very active and would love to take your pup on adventures with us, or just be lazy and snuggle at home with them. I have a small fenced backyard and have watched many dogs here. I usually do at minimum one walk around the neighborhood a day and then time in the backyard. I can also stay in your home over the weekend if needed. Also very open to weekend dog walks.

“Karys is amazing! She stayed in our home with our pup for 5 days and gave us photos, videos and updates everyday. Our home was perfect and our dog happy! HIGHLY recommend ❤️”

“We had never used Rover before, or even a dog/house sitter service. We were a little anxious, but meeting Jennifer totally put us at ease. When we came home, the dogs were happier than they've ever been coming out of boarding. We will definitely be calling on her again. Thanks, Jennifer!”

I had Kathy come stay with my 3 Furkids for 6 days. She’s great! I got pictures of the kids. She lucked up mail, made sure I had mor milk after mine expired! Trimmed up my plant. I didn’t have to worry about anything! She made it possible for me to relax and enjoy my get away! 🥰🥰
This was our first time leaving our fur babies and Andrea helped to alleviate all the stress and anxiety while we were away. She sent pictures of the pups and you could see that they enjoyed her. Andrea was also very accommodating with her time and its shows that she really cares for our babies.

Chloe responded quickly to my need for a sitter due to an emergency. I was not able to call her until the night before and she agreed to sit for me the next morning, early, for the day. It meant the world to me to have time with my husband in the hospital, and to have my dog taken such good care of!

We had a great experience with Mark. He was communicative throughout the stay, provided daily updates with photos, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. When we got home, the house was clean and well taken care of, and our dog was happy and comfortable. We really appreciated his reliability and would happily book with him again.

Holley was wonderful! Taking care of two Brittanys is not an easy task. It's been awhile since we left our pack at home. She kept us updated and sent photos. We will be hiring her again when we need a sitter. Highly recommend her for your fur babies. I would give her 10 stars if I could. We had a few special request and they were fullfilled. Earl and Reggie even decided to sleep in her room. Thanks Holley you were GREAT!!

Jesse was wonderful overall. He took good care of our dog and kept our house very clean and neat. He was communicative and responsive. He kept us in touch about how Kipper was doing and any other questions he had about the house. I would definitely use him again as a dog sitter and trust him with our house too!

Grace provided a wonderful experience for 10 days with Jax. She provided several photos and videos of her interactions with Jax. Even taking him on a walk upon his request on a very cold day. Grace has excellent communication skills and followed my care requests carefully. I highly recommend Grace.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Loveland on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Loveland walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Loveland maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Loveland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
