Pet care experience

Your pups new best friends 💙

I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I owned a Mini Australian Shepherd mix named Avalanche for 17 years before sadly having to say goodbye last year. I currently have a purebred Australian Shepherd named Luna, who we adopted two years ago and is now 6 years old. I have been caring for and pet sitting dogs since I was 12 years old. Growing up, I was primarily responsible for walking, feeding, providing fresh water, bathing, and helping with daily care for family dogs. I also regularly pet sat for family friends and neighbors, including caring for a high-energy Chocolate Lab during my early teen years. I am especially comfortable with larger and high-energy breeds, including Huskies, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Australian Shepherds, and Labrador Retrievers. In addition, every July for the past several years, I have helped house and pet sit for a group of 7–10 wolf hybrids, giving me experience with complex canine behavior and multi-dog environments. Dogs have always been a major part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy providing attentive, reliable, and compassionate care for them.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pup will be taken out as needed, and we will follow any feeding schedule and portion instructions you provide. We do not typically give dogs human food, aside from healthy dog-safe options such as bananas or similar treats. If there are foods that are unhealthy or unsafe for dogs, we will avoid giving them, even if they are normally allowed. We’re very mindful about what dogs consume and prefer to provide healthy, dog-safe treats whenever possible — including homemade treats for our own dogs. We’ll also gladly send regular photo and video updates so you can see your pup playing, relaxing, and getting lots of love and attention while in our care!

We had such a wonderful experience! We received regular updates and photos throughout, which gave us great peace of mind. Communication was always quick, easy, and responsive. We would highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely use their services again!

Daily reviews and pictures kept us updated while out of the country. We could tell that our dog was well cared for as well as the house. Thank you so much.

Khrystalena and Arryk were great! They were very communicative and accommodating for a short notice daycare visit. Their dog, Luna, is adorable too 💕

Krystalena & Arryk were exactly what I needed at exactly the right time. They were flexible while I solidified my travel plans. They understood my scatter brained communications. They took excellent care of my house and my boys. Would 100% book with them again!

We appreciate Khrystal and Arryk working with kind of a unique schedule with our other dog sitter! Arryk was prompt with his drops ins and our boys were well looked after!

Khrystalena and Arryk were fantastic. We were nervous about leaving town and have never gone through Rover before. They put all of our worries to rest and were great with our animals. We will for sure be using them again.

Schedule

I just got laid off on June 17 due to a franchise ownership change at my current job. Thankfully, I’ll be receiving severance, have several referrals, and may already have another opportunity lined up, so I’m not too concerned. Until I begin a new job, I’ll be available amd can be home with the pups full-time, aside from July 14–July 28th (possibly through August 11 , I always leave an entire month just in case he decides to extend for the full month!) when I’ll be caring for my regular wolf pups! Arryk usually works 12am-6pm thursday-monday, but his schedule can change. One of the cool things about being a team is that if we get a booking while we're already on another one, we may still be able to make it work! One of us can stay with the current pup(s) while the other heads to the second sit, depending on the location and schedule. The only time it gets a little trickier is while we're in Brighton with the wolf pups. Since feeding time requires an extra set of hands, I definitely need his help for that! 😂 So even if our calendar shows us as unavailable, don't hesitate to reach out and send a booking request anyway. We can't make any promises, but we'll always do our best to see if we can make it work for you and your pets! ❤️

Khrystalena & Arryk can host up to 1 pet per night
Before any stay, I will need to know your pup’s feeding schedule, portion sizes, and whether they require any medications or special care. I also ask that owners let me know how their dog interacts with other dogs and with children. While we do not have children, my in-laws has three children, including a toddler, and two very friendly dogs. If your dog is not comfortable around other dogs or children, that is absolutely okay — we simply need to know in advance so we can avoid those environments or not bring them along on visits. Your dog’s comfort and safety will always be a top priority.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
