“She was go great and patient with my two babies. They fell in love with her. I’m definitely going to be booking her again. I love that she sent me pictures and a review after every walk! thank you so so much.”

“Kathryn is the best! We use her services infrequently but she has always been flexible and accommodated our last minute bookings and our dog's restrictions after his knee surgery. She also has a calm presence and our timid dog warmed up to her quickly. Kathryn is great and we are so lucky to have found her!”

“Kassiandra was great with my dog. Communication was fast and I was so thankful that she was able to accept my last minute request. I’m a new mom and my dog desperately needed the exercise. Thank you!”

About: Reliable, experienced, and genuinely happy to be there. That's what your dog gets with me. I'm a full-time professional pet sitter focused on drop-in visits and neighborhood walks, and I've been caring for animals for twenty years, from friends' and family's pets to a growing record of five-star sits. I've worked with puppies through seniors, high-energy dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs on complicated medication schedules. Most of what I do is simple, and I do it the same way every time. Your dog gets out, gets exercise suited to their age and energy, gets fed on schedule, and gets real attention instead of a rushed fifteen minutes. If they're reactive, shy, or slow to warm up to strangers, tell me. I'd rather move slowly on the first visit than push a dog who isn't ready. I answer messages the moment they come in, since my phone and watch are always on me, and I send photo updates through Rover Cards after every single visit. You'll never wonder whether I showed up. Pet care is my full-time work, not something I fit around another job. That means I can cover midday walks while you're at the office, twice-daily visits while you're traveling, and I'm often able to take same-day requests when something comes up. My calendar is updated daily. If you see availability, it's real. I care for pets in their own homes, where they're most comfortable. On the first visit I confirm the essentials in writing: entry and lockup, leash and harness setup, where the leash lives, any door or gate a dog can slip through, food storage and portions, and your vet's information. I lock up behind me every time, keep dogs leashed unless we're in a securely fenced space you've approved, and text you right away if anything seems off, whether it's a limp, a skipped meal, or an unusual mess. I'd rather send a message you didn't need than stay quiet about something that mattered.
About: I had dogs and cats my whole life and became a bird mama to a mischievous goffin's cockatoo 7 years ago. I pet sat in high school and college, and swap pet care with our neighbors. I'm self-employed so I have control over my own schedule. I can make early morning, afternoon and/or evening visits. I'm available on the weekends as well. I can care for birds in my own home or at their own homes. For dogs and cats, I care for them in their own homes. I'm available for overnight stays during some holiday breaks.
“Melody walked my fur babies, and is our first ever dog walker. Melody is super thoughtful, communicative and sincere. I am so happy I took a chance on Rover <3 Will definitely rebook with her!”

“Mike is fantastic with animals! He is easy to make plans with, shows up right on time and was patient and loving with my dog. My dog eagerly looked forward to seeing him for walks (I'm post op from surgery). Would give ten stars if I could and would definitely hire him again!!! Very much recommend!!”

“Rebecca responded quickly when I needed someone with only 2 days notice to walk my pup! My dog loved her and she sent me great updates! I was so grateful to find someone to jump in and help us out. I will definitely keep using her to help walk my dog!”
About: I have been dog sitting since I was 12. I have always had a deep connection to animals and making sure they are cared for. I can handle dogs of any breed, size, and age. My schedule is flexible and open so frequent visits and walks won’t be a problem for me! My schedule is very open, I am able and willing to adjust to your preferences! I do take occasional classes in Denver but in total those only take about 3 hours (drive time + the class) I understand that a persons home is their sanctuary. I will be sure to treat your home with the utmost respect and care, being sure that your home will look great and be ready when you return.
“Danielle is wonderful! She is a very caring and conscientious pet sitter. She is thorough, punctual, and trust worthy. Our puppy loves her and we are so sad she is leaving this area because both us and our pup are all going to miss her!”
About: I’ve taken care of friends and families dogs since I was a kid, and I make sure to follow the schedule and needs of every pet. I have house sat and done drop in visits for many neighbors and am comfortable coming to your house to provide services for your pets! I am a full-time student so I have availability mostly in the evenings. I have more availability during the weekends. I’m generally busy from 8am to 4pm but it depends on what days I have meetings after classes. I could let dogs outside during my lunch break if I am house/dog sitting during a regular school week. During the summer I have more availability. Caring for pets in their safe environment (your home) is best for them! I can provide general house chores while house sitting like getting the mail, feeding fish, watering plants, etc. while caring for your pets!
“Rory has been a great dog walker for my Shih Tzu, Hailey! She always arrives on time, follows all the instructions I leave, and is really good with her. I can tell Hailey enjoys her walks and feels comfortable. It’s a relief to know she’s in good hands. Highly recommend Rory!”

I can't say enough good things! He did an amazing job with my dog and took the time to understand her needs and comfort level. He was very attentive, adjusted their walks as needed, and always put her well-being first. The updates and communication gave me peace of mind, and it was clear she was in great hands. I would absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone, especially if you have a dog that needs a little extra patience and care.

I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention my dog, Canyon, receives. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in good hands when I’m away. Communication is excellent, with updates and photos that gave me peace of mind during the day. They’re reliable, professional, and genuinely care about the pets they work with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable and compassionate dog walker. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy!

Scarlett is very protective of our home and Aubrey knows exactly what to do to get her outside. I work long days so it is important for Scarlett to go out while I'm at work. Aubrey does a great job coming into our home and working with Scarlett to make her feel comfortable enough to take her for a walk. They are starting to become good friends. I would highly recommend Aubrey.
I hired Autumn for walking my two very active border collies, twice per day. Autumn was on time every visit, sent updates and photos (including one of my cat that she was not pet sitting), and also cleaned up a huge mess that my pup had created. She’s timely with requests too, I never have trouble communicating with her. She’s a compassionate and caring pet sitter and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Trisha took care of our guy as if he were her own. Bringing her own treats so he would associate them with her was a great idea. She dealt well with our dog’s separation anxiety and made great suggestions to make him feel better. Trisha read our dog and let him guide the way rather than insisting. We loved her comments and photos. We would definitely use her services again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
