About: We have owned dogs our whole life. We are retired and no longer own any pets to allow us the freedom to travel and be flexible with our time. We have enjoyed being able to dog sit for our 2 grand dogs up until recently since both families have moved out of state. We miss having a pet in our home and our grand dogs filled that pet fix for us. Living near Horsetooth Marina and having a multitude of trails in our backyard is a dog 's dream come true. If your dog loves to swim, Horsetooth Reservoir is just a short trail away (and we don't mind wet dogsâşď¸). Upon request, we can pick up and drop off your pet for a small fee. We are both retired with flexible schedules so we can give your pet our full attention for exercise, play and feeding throughout the day and night. Our home is in a quiet and friendly subdivision just south of the marina. We have a nicely shaded and secure fenced area for your pet to enjoy the outdoors. Also, a main floor outdoor deck with plenty of sunshine should they like to warm themselves and/or enjoy viewing our frequent wildlife visitors.
âBlueberry LOVES Rachel. Soon as as Rachel arrives through the door he has the wiggles that are incredible. Blueberry arrives back home 30 minutes later and he is exhausted, but always looking forward to seeing Rachel again.â

About: I've taken care of my own dogs my whole life and have watched neighbors dogs, I get along well with most dogs and am well trusted. I have my own cat and have grown up around cats too im patient and observant. I'm currently working on school so I'll have plenty of time to take care of your animals being able to do most of the week. I will not be taking dogs into my house, I will watch them at your house and take them out on hikes and walks if wanted.
âDanielle is amazing! Responsible, responsive, and reliable! We love the pictures and updates! This is our first time using a online dog walking service and we had reservations on booking because there were so many challenges to overcome. About: Iâm an experienced, reliable pet sitter specializing in drop-ins and neighborhood walks for dogs and cats. I have 20+ years of experience with pets of all ages, including seniors, shy pets, and special-needs companions. Iâm comfortable with medication, daily exercise, litter care, and keeping routines consistent so pets feel safe and cared for. I respond quickly, send photo updates through Rover Cards, and communicate clearly so you always know how your pet is doing. I keep my calendar updated regularly and adjust my pricing as I move from place to place. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I structure my schedule around consistent visits, feeding times, medication, litter care, and one-on-one attention. That helps me stay flexible, dependable, and attentive so pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I care for pets in their own homes and during drop-in visits by keeping their routine as familiar and stress-free as possible. That includes feeding, fresh water, litter care, medication if needed, playtime, and calm companionship. I also send updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I've always had pets of my own as well as taken care of pets that friends, neighbors, and family have asked me to help out with. I love taking dogs out on walks and cuddling new feline friends. I care for any pet just as lovingly as I do my own. I'm currently taking time off from school and hoping to surround myself with things that make me happy, which definitely includes pets. Iâll be home here in Austin for at least 2-3 months. In my own home, we've always placed importance on our pets being active. If you have a dog that needs to get out on a daily basis or just needs to be played with around the house, I am so happy to be there for those needs. If your cat just loves to be given attention, I'm your girl! Consistency in a pets food and water routine is also a priority. Sending picture updates while you're away is something I love to do.
âThe most professional dog walker in the area. Cal is beyond thorough with my dog. Takes great pictures and gives professional updates on how all the walks went. Would recommend to all of my friends and family that use Rover. Will be using his services from now on!â

About: I have experience with puppies and kitties and have also cared for those in their golden years. I looked after a senior dog that had congestive heart failure and would give that dog medications daily. While watching your pets, I love spending time with them doing simple training, either teaching them manners or keeping them from peeing in the house! I'm switching jobs so not working right now but would love to spend my time working with your pets. I'm free in the afternoons after 12 into the evening until 8. I'm not able to work Sundays. I would only be able to watch over your pet at your home. I live in a small apartment and feel like most pets like the safety of their own home while their people are gone!
âLeesa took great care of my girl while I was gone for the day! Would use her again in a heartbeat, I had complete trust Stevie was in great hands getting love and exercise đ Thanks again!!â

About: I have been taking care of peopleâs pets since I was 12 years old. I was raised on a farm and animals are my best friends. I have taken care of friends, family, and colleagues pets most of my life. Other peopleâs pets become my children and I take care of them like my own pets. I work a regular full time job that is hybrid. I walk regularly and enjoy bring a pet along for the walk with me. I also hike and will adjust my distance based on the pet. My professional career I have worked in security and law enforcement. My current position I am a Network Engineer for the 911 Network. Your pet will be safe with me.
About: Iâve cared for dogs of all kinds since I was 8. My neighbors and friends often entrust me with feedings, walkings, and doggie slumber parties!! I work part time on the weekends leaving me with lots of time to spare. Pet sitting gives me a sense of joy and productivity! I have a fenced in yard and family to keep your loved ones safe and happy! Iâm also flexible to fit your pets daily needs.
About: Why me instead of another sitter? Honestly, every dog is different, and I think they deserve care thatâs built around them. Plus, Iâll absolutely send you way too many cute and goofy pictures while youâre away. Iâve been pet sitting for over 6 years and have experience with dogs of all ages and personalities, from anxious velcro dogs to energetic chaos gremlins and sweet senior pups. Iâm happy to stick to whatever routine keeps your dog comfortable, whether thatâs medications, long walks, playtime, or just hanging out on the couch. Leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful, so my goal is to make it as easy as possible for both of you. Iâll treat your dog like theyâre one of my own and make sure they get lots of love and attention while youâre away. Iâm usually booked Fridays and Saturdays, but Sunday through Thursday are wide open for walks, drop-ins, or hangouts with your furry one. My scheduleâs always moving, but I make time for what matters â and that includes your pets. On my days off, I love being outdoors, so if your dogâs up for an adventure, Iâd be thrilled to have them join me. I care for pets the same way I care for any service I put my name behind; with honesty, attention, and a lot of heart. As a recovering people pleaser, Iâve redirected all that energy into pet pleasing instead. Iâm big on routines, respect, and keeping things calm and comfortable, whether Iâm in your home or mine. Iâm a safe person for my friends, my family, and hopefully (actually, surely) for your pet, too.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
