“Millie has been walking Otis, 3x a week for a few months now and she makes life so much easier! Yesterday, he had a bit of medical emergency and she notified me immediately and stayed with him until I was able to make it home from work. She always offers to do little helpful things that might forget and brings in any packages that might be left on the porch. She’s always pleasant and always flexible with my ever changing schedule. Definitely one of the top Rover professionals in San Antonio. She treats Otis like he’s hers and he’s always super excited to see her❤️”

“Wendy is amazing! Our dog Blakely has loved her from day one. She is communicative, friendly, and I can tell she loves dogs based on how excited Blakely gets to see her. She always shows up on time and does awesome report cards.”
“Kelly was very responsive, efficient, and did a great job walking our two dogs. I loved the photo update that Kelly provided. We would be very happy to have Kelly walk our dogs again.”

“We really appreciated working with Julieanne to walk out dog, Bruce. She was outgoing, prompt, dependable, professional, and very focused on our dog's condition and well being. We look forward to the opportunity to work with Julianne again.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 14, with over a decade of hands-on experience that includes dogs, cats, exotic pets, and horses. I’ve worked with pets of all ages and temperaments—from playful puppies to senior cats, from anxious pets to high-energy horses. Whether it’s feeding, walking, administering medication, cleaning stalls, or just spending quality time, I make sure every animal gets the attention and care they need. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me with everything from house pets to barn chores. I’m comfortable handling large animals, managing routines, and noticing small behavior changes that can signal bigger issues. I treat each animal with patience, respect, and genuine care—because I know they’re more than just pets—they're family. I’m currently available for weekends, and possible short notice needs! My job schedule is Monday-Friday (8-4). I can always be available for an early AM/ late PM checks currently. I primarily care for pets in their own home, where they feel most safe and comfortable. I follow your pet’s routine closely and give them the same love and attention you would. I’m respectful of your space, tidy, and happy to handle light home tasks like mail or plant care.
About: 13+ years of animal care! I have had many pets of my own growing up and currently have a dog named Ayza, so I am no stranger to animal care and I love all types of animals. I have done lots of pet and house sitting over the years so I've also learned to make friends with animals quickly and in all different types of settings. I have trained 3 puppies and given care to 2 elderly dogs who both required special care including medications. I love fostering cats/kittens when I am able, my latest foster was a pair of kittens only weeks old who had a rough respiratory infection at the time, they are both healthy and with a loving home together now! Working on a farm with animals I learned how to manage emergency situations as they arose, things like wounds, sickness, and other aliments and have become comfortable managing any challenging situations that may arise. I work remotely and set my own hours, meaning I have plenty of time and attention to give to your pets! I can fit just about any pet care requirements you have into my schedule. I am only offering client in-home care at this time. I love caring for pets in their own environment where they feel comfortable to express their full personalities. I have homes in both Colorado Springs and Fort Collins where I spend most of my time but I also travel the country in my converted camper van!

About: I've been caring for animals for over 7 years and have experience with a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, and other small animals. A few years ago, I worked as both a kennel caretaker and veterinary assistant, where I earned my Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) certification. That experience gave me hands-on knowledge of animal behavior, administering basic care, recognizing signs of illness, and handling pets safely and compassionately. I have a flexible schedule this summer, which allows me to provide reliable visits throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I'm happy to work with your pet's routine and provide consistent, dependable care while you're away. I currently offer drop-in visits in my clients' homes, where pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment. I take the time to follow each pet's routine, including feeding, fresh water, medications (if needed), litter box or yard care, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. With my background as a Certified Veterinary Assistant, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and careful observation to ensure your pet stays happy and healthy while you're away. I know being away from your pet isn’t always easy, so I like to send photos after each visit to help reassure you that they’re happy, comfortable, and well cared for!

- 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
