About: I have lots of experience with large and small dogs including ownership (over 10 years), handling, and dog-sitting for friends, family, and others in my community. I am currently a student at CSU studying wildlife conservation biology and am able to commute to school from any location within the Fort Collins area. I am available on weekday evenings and nights except for Wednesday. Most weekends work for me too, unless I am traveling home. I believe that all pets deserve enrichment and stimulation, hence I try my best to care for your pet within their accommodations in order to adhere to their normal, comforting routines. I have cared for both very energetic and older dogs and am willing to do whatever possible to reduce any stress that could be caused by change in care.

About: I am comfortable with a wide variety of pets including cats, dogs, and most exotics. I was an animal science major in undergrad and also volunteered as a wildlife rehabilitation tech during that time so I am comfortable with medication administration. After undergrad, I took two years off from school to work as a zookeeper with wolves, otters, snakes, and amphibians. I returned to school at CSU where I recently received my master’s in biomedical science. I am currently volunteering with another wildlife rehabilitation clinic. I have two senior cats and a leopard gecko of my own and ride horses. I’m available most days after 9:00 am and before 9:00 pm for a drop in visit. Animal care is very important to me and a big part of my daily routine. I have two senior cats of my own so I would not be able to care for pets in my home but I am happy to drive to take care of your pets. As someone who works with animals both professionally and as a hobby, I take my animal care very seriously and will provide your pets with the best care I possibly can.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love helping them stay happy, healthy, and safe. I've raised my own dogs for over 15 years—all from puppies—and have provided pet care for family and friends throughout that time. I've spent years learning canine body language, assessing behavior, and working alongside professional dog trainers. I have extensive experience with reactive dogs and understand how to safely and confidently meet their needs during walks and daily care. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, in training, a senior, or has special needs, I'm happy to adapt my care to what makes them feel most comfortable. While I'm not a veterinary professional, I worked in veterinary diagnostics for nearly 10 years, giving me a strong understanding of animal health and behavior. I'm comfortable administering medications to both dogs and cats, can provide basic first aid if needed, and have experience caring for senior pets and those with medical needs. One of my own dogs struggled with severe anxiety, and through patience, training, and consistency she grew into a calm, happy companion, giving me firsthand experience supporting dogs that need a little extra understanding. I currently offer walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting. My goal is to care for every pet as if they were my own, following your routines closely so they feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you're away. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide dependable care for your pets. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting on both weekdays and weekends after 10:00 AM. I'll always communicate clearly about my availability and make every effort to accommodate your pet's routine whenever possible. I currently offer walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting in your home. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. I'll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special routines or training. During walks, I prioritize your pet's safety by paying close attention to their body language, avoiding situations that may cause stress, and ensuring they're secure at all times. I'll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Because I have a reactive dog at home, I don't offer boarding or doggy daycare. This allows me to give my full attention to your pet while they're comfortable in their own home.

About: Hello!!! I’m Niki and I’ve been doing pet care, paid and unpaid for probably my whole life! I’ve always been an animal lover. So before I started my corporate job, I signed up for a different pet sitting app, which turned into traveling the world to care for pets. I have cared for animals in Costa Rica, England, France, Canada and all over the states. And have even been flown back to Canada and England multiple times for repeat pet sitting visits. When I started working corporate, I stopped doing it for a while. But I always miss caring for a sweet animal. Now that I have a remote corporate position, my work allows me deep pockets of time between meetings throughout the day, which gives me more time! I am signing back up to merge my two goals, caring for animals while making a little extra money for help me go to a destination wedding at the end of the year. Since it’s a destination wedding I’m also pretty determined to get in shape, so if you have an active animal that needs a good walk, I am your girl! I’m happy to provide references and additional photos as well. Please reach out if you have any questions at all! Since I work remotely I have a lot of time between meetings and I love to get outside as well. I’m fully off work by 4 pm but I will have multiple hours free during the day as well. I have my own car of course and it’s fully available to bring pets anywhere too! I treat every animal as if it were my own baby. With love and respect, I will ensure they feel safe and cared for but I have zero issues with excitement and fun. I’m pretty active and my parents own a 8 month old Doberman and previously owned Malinois… so I know crazy and how to handle it as well. Whatever direction or instruction I’m given I will follow :)
“We really appreciated working with Julieanne to walk out dog, Bruce. She was outgoing, prompt, dependable, professional, and very focused on our dog's condition and well being. We look forward to the opportunity to work with Julianne again.”

About: I have previously worked at a dog kennel in Idaho before moving to Colorado. I know how to do oral medications for cats and dogs. I studied veterinary science during my senior year of high school and received certifications in animal handling and husbandry. I have an extreme passion for animals of all shapes and sizes and always put their needs first. I am a college student with a relatively open schedule. The schedule listed is not my entire availability and I would love to talk about other openings in my schedule for care. I follow the owners directions very thoroughly and always make sure I do as they ask. I keep the animals company and give them the attention they deserve. I know how to crate a dog if needed and I will always do my best to respect the animals needs and the owners wishes.
“Jessica was great with our large dog who is a strong puller. She handled her well and gave great updates to put our minds at ease while we were away on a trip. She also adapted to some last minute scheduling shifts we had to make. We will definitely use Jessica again and would recommend her to our friends.”

About: I have experience with puppies and kitties and have also cared for those in their golden years. I looked after a senior dog that had congestive heart failure and would give that dog medications daily. While watching your pets, I love spending time with them doing simple training, either teaching them manners or keeping them from peeing in the house! I'm switching jobs so not working right now but would love to spend my time working with your pets. I'm free in the afternoons after 12 into the evening until 8. I'm not able to work Sundays. I would only be able to watch over your pet at your home. I live in a small apartment and feel like most pets like the safety of their own home while their people are gone!
“Ava was truly fantastic. We booked her on such short notice because of an unplanned trip, and she even came over to meet our puppy first. Our pup loved Ava so much that he got the zoomies. Ava is very trust worthy and kind. Definitely will be reaching out to her when we take other trips this summer.”

About: I’m a pre-vet student at Colorado State University, and I have worked with and had pets for my whole life. I volunteer regularly at Animal Friends Alliance and The Milo Foundation, taking care of cats and dogs of all sizes and ages, from puppies to seniors. I also volunteer around the clinic at Marin Humane Society, prepping and taking care of recovering animals after procedures. I have pet sit for friends and family for the past 6 years, walking, feeding, and playing with their animals. Around my house I am the dedicated person to administer any medications and teach new tricks! I am a very flexible person! I am a full time student at the moment, with classes in the mornings and early afternoons on all weekdays during the semester. But I am dedicated to animal care and love to spend time with pets. I also volunteer regularly throughout the week, but those shifts are moveable. As a pre-vet student I take animal safety seriously, always being gentle and making sure to notice any signs of fatigue or weakness. I make sure to stay in the proper areas while petting unless the animal is comfortable with me going further. I clean all messes that the pets make, whether it’s fecal matter, vomit, or anything else. On walks, I am careful around other dogs even if the pet I’m walking is kind, you never know the reactivity of other dogs on the street. I’m always sure to make the pets feel cared for, happy, and loved!

“Very fast response and flexibility, she sent pictures during her walk and my dog was very happy when I got home, she was the first person to walk my puppy after me and I'm definitely booking again!”

“Drew has been so so helpful with our pup. He’s a bit reactive and does not get along with other dogs. We were so nervous about having a dog walker because of our pups issues. However, Drew was so experienced and worked so well with Ozzie. He’s gotten better with walks and loves Drew! 10/10 recommend him!!”

“We have been so lucky to have Leta walking our dog for over a year regularly. She is so professional and caring towards our dog. We highly recommend Leta for dog walking either short-term or long-term as she is reliable and communicated well with us and our dog.”

About: I have been caring for animals my entire life. Growing up my family ran a kennel and farm, and I provided care for animals from hamsters to livestock. I’m known as the caretaker, and get requests to pet sit or drop in for friends and family when they travel. I work full time evenings, so my days are free to help take care of your furry family. I can’t wait to meet and care for them. My home has many friendly, well adjusted pets who have always been around other animals. I can care for your furry companions in your home or mine.
“Aj is an awesome dog walker! She took great care of our pup, Paulie, all week while I was traveling. He's a bit of an anxious dog, but her gentle energy allowed him to warm up to her quickly. He looked super happy in all the pictures she took, and she always spent the full hour with him, playing and giving him lots of love after a long walk. We will definitely be booking again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
