“Rebecca did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs! She left detailed updates with lots of photos. She was prompt in her responses and completed a last-minute meet-up to meet the dogs before our trip. We really appreciated her help! The dogs were very content when we arrived home.”

About: 4th year zoology student: I have been caring for pets in homes since I was 15 years old. From 2019-2024 I volunteered with Paws of Central Texas. This included various trainings. I am currently a volunteer at the Reptile and Amphibian Center of the Rockies. I have performed drop in pet care as well as in home pet care for many years. I am a 4th year zoology student on break for summer. I am volunteering at the Reptile and Amphibian Center of the Rockies. My shifts are usually 2-3 hours so I am very flexible to drop in or stay with your pet. I will treat your pet as my own. I will communicate as much as necessary. I am able to give my full attention to your pets!
“Isabella is great. She’s a great communicator, flexible and reliable. Bowie got a little bit of a sinus infection going on and she was willing to help administer his medication during her drop-in. I will definitely book again!”

“Hailey was great! She didn’t hesitate to reach out when I gave her the wrong garage code (whoops), she sent a ton of pictures and videos every day (and included pictures of packages that got delivered and a picture of some throw up from one of my kitties). My cats can be a bit shy and not want to come out around strangers, but they seemed comfortable and social with her. She also brought her own laser pointer to play which was a hit. I get anxious leaving my pets behind, but she really put my mind at ease while we were away :-)”

“Jessie took great care of our pups while we were out of town for six days! She was very responsive, wrote great updates, and took really sweet pictures. It was a relief knowing they were in great hands while we were away from service ☺️”

“Nell is someone I would highly recommend to care for your furry companion. She took excellent care of my cat Luka while I was away on vacation. She dropped in twice daily to feed, clean Luka's litter boxes, and interact with him. I appreciated her photos that she sent after each visit. Nell definitely has a special talent in interacting with domesticated animals. I would highly recommend Nell to care for your cat or dog while you're away from home. Thank you Nell.”

“Amelia was great pet sitting my 7 month old dog last minute! She was accommodating and kept me updated throughout the day— I knew that she kept my pup happy and I will definitely be using her again. Would recommend!”

“Kaya was SOOO amazing with our little senior man!! He can take a bit to warm up to people and she was so patient with him. She was such an attentive, communicative, and timely sitter - I would highly recommend her for drop ins and overnights!”

“Haley did a phenomenal job watching my two pups! She sent plenty of updates, very detailed report card, was responsive and I loved all the photos she took! I’d definitely rebook with her”

“She took great care of my dogs and I really appreciate her coming all the way out to my house in the country to check on them. It helped me a lot! Will definitely use her again when needed!”

“Meghan was so good with our senior guy!!! I can’t say enough about how attentive, timely, and caring she was! My husband and I made last minute plans, and were so thankful that she was able to help us out. Our senior guy really warmed up to her quickly, and so did our other two doggos! Even though she was only booked for our little guy, it really seemed like she checked in on all of our babies at home, and for that we’re appreciative. If you’re looking for a caring and dependable sitter, Meghan is your gal! We’ll definitely be booking with her again😊”

“Jessica provided truly excellent care for our 2 year old cat while we were out of town for several weeks. She played with her, got to know her personality and preferences, and continued to shift her care and support to make her life happy and healthy in our absence. Our time away from home was much easier knowing that Jessica was making daily visits for food, litter, pets, and play! In addition, Jessica's daily reports, photos and short videos were awesome! We looked forward to receiving them and taking a look each evening. Thank you so much, Jessica!!”

“Madeline is a pro! She was great at communicating, here when she promised and took good care of our Spooky. So grateful that we can leave for a day or two and be comfortable that all is well with our older cat!”
“Lacey took such good care of our senior bull dog while we were away from the holidays! She’s very dependable, communicative, professional and will treat your pup like her own.”

About: I’m a pre-vet student at Colorado State University, and I have worked with and had pets for my whole life. I volunteer regularly at Animal Friends Alliance and The Milo Foundation, taking care of cats and dogs of all sizes and ages, from puppies to seniors. I also volunteer around the clinic at Marin Humane Society, prepping and taking care of recovering animals after procedures. I have pet sit for friends and family for the past 6 years, walking, feeding, and playing with their animals. Around my house I am the dedicated person to administer any medications and teach new tricks! I am a very flexible person! I am a full time student at the moment, with classes in the mornings and early afternoons on all weekdays during the semester. But I am dedicated to animal care and love to spend time with pets. I also volunteer regularly throughout the week, but those shifts are moveable. As a pre-vet student I take animal safety seriously, always being gentle and making sure to notice any signs of fatigue or weakness. I make sure to stay in the proper areas while petting unless the animal is comfortable with me going further. I clean all messes that the pets make, whether it’s fecal matter, vomit, or anything else. On walks, I am careful around other dogs even if the pet I’m walking is kind, you never know the reactivity of other dogs on the street. I’m always sure to make the pets feel cared for, happy, and loved!
About: Hi, I'm Erin (or Rin to my friends) and I love animals of all kinds. I would be absolutely honored to have the opportunity to take care of your fur baby for you. I have an extensive history of pet sitting, fostering, rehabilitation, and minor training. I was raised by a k9 union military police officer and was taught how to train and care for dogs at an early age. During my adult years I fell in love with cats and have been involved with many rescues and foster groups over the years. I even had the joy of being a caretaker for a colony of cats several years ago. I've also harness trained cats and gotten them trained to go on walks too. I do freelance work from home, so as long as I have access to the Internet I'm able to work from anywhere, giving me plenty of time to spoil your fur baby. I am a work from home freelancer, so as long as I have internet access, I can do my work from pretty much anywhere - which means that I can provide care and adequate supervision for your pets. Though I do have a few cats myself, my roommate watches her while I am on an assignment, so there are no distractions that will get in the way of my caring for your animal(s). I prefer having meet and greets prior to assignments, so that I can ask a list of questions I have prepared in advance regarding your animal's required care. For example, I may ask about: - Temperament - Feeding Schedule - Medications - Allowed on Furniture? - Emergency Contacts & What to Do in the event of an Emergency - Potty Break Schedule

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Arrowhead
Jesse was truly a wonderful cat sitter! We changed around our trip dates multiple times because our baby was sick and she totally rolled with the punches which just allowed us to make the best decision on when to leave for our vacation without worrying about losing our cat sitter too. She also was very kind and left her contact info with a contractor working in our home while we were gone just in case anything came up with the kitty that she should know. Her care of Lucy was truly 20/10, as was her communication! We loved getting so many details and photos and knew that our kitty was in good hands the whole time. Excellent experience overall.
Becca took wonderful care of our cat, Piper, while we were away! She was reliable, communicative, and made us feel completely at ease knowing Piper was in such good hands. She kept the litter box clean, made sure Piper had everything she needed, and spent quality time giving her the attention and affection she loves. It was clear that Becca genuinely cared for Piper’s well-being. We’re so grateful for her help and would absolutely trust her to watch Piper again. Highly recommend Becca to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!

Sophia did an amazing job taking care of my dog and cat for 10 days. We had some scheduling complexities that she handled super well even with last minute changes before our trip. She was timely, communicative, and my pets loved her! I highly recommend Sophia.

Lisa was fantastic. She took wonderful care of my kitties, especially the older diabetic one who requires extra attention. I'm always nervous to leave my cats when I go out of town, but knowing she was taking care of them helped put me at ease. She's communicative, clearly loves animals, and charges fair prices for her skills and knowledge.

It was our first time having Brayden watch our cats, and he was amazing. He provided great communication and was incredibly thoughtful and caring with our two cats. We felt completely at ease leaving our home and babies in such wonderful care. Thank you, Brayden, for accommodating our last-minute request to watch our babies over the holidays!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
