About: I’m a pre-vet student at Colorado State University, and I have worked with and had pets for my whole life. I volunteer regularly at Animal Friends Alliance and The Milo Foundation, taking care of cats and dogs of all sizes and ages, from puppies to seniors. I also volunteer around the clinic at Marin Humane Society, prepping and taking care of recovering animals after procedures. I have pet sit for friends and family for the past 6 years, walking, feeding, and playing with their animals. Around my house I am the dedicated person to administer any medications and teach new tricks! I am a very flexible person! I am a full time student at the moment, with classes in the mornings and early afternoons on all weekdays during the semester. But I am dedicated to animal care and love to spend time with pets. I also volunteer regularly throughout the week, but those shifts are moveable. As a pre-vet student I take animal safety seriously, always being gentle and making sure to notice any signs of fatigue or weakness. I make sure to stay in the proper areas while petting unless the animal is comfortable with me going further. I clean all messes that the pets make, whether it’s fecal matter, vomit, or anything else. On walks, I am careful around other dogs even if the pet I’m walking is kind, you never know the reactivity of other dogs on the street. We changed around our trip dates multiple times because our baby was sick and she totally rolled with the punches which just allowed us to make the best decision on when to leave for our vacation without worrying about losing our cat sitter too.
