Professional and avid animal lover!
I am comfortable with a wide variety of pets including cats, dogs, and most exotics. I was an animal science major in undergrad and also volunteered as a wildlife rehabilitation tech during that time so I am comfortable with medication administration. After undergrad, I took two years off from school to work as a zookeeper with wolves, otters, snakes, and amphibians. I returned to school at CSU where I recently received my master’s in biomedical science. I am currently volunteering with another wildlife rehabilitation clinic. I have two senior cats and a leopard gecko of my own and ride horses.

I have two senior cats of my own so I would not be able to care for pets in my home but I am happy to drive to take care of your pets. As someone who works with animals both professionally and as a hobby, I take my animal care very seriously and will provide your pets with the best care I possibly can.

Shelby was awesome! My poor baby was just a few days after a surgery and Shelby did amazing caring for him, giving him his medications, and keeping me updated!
Shelby has dropped in twice to help with my little Yorkie. I recommend her highly!
Shelby is wonderful! My little Yorkie took to her immediately. She did an hour drop-by visit to exercise and play with him while I was out for the evening. When I got home, he was much more relaxed than usual, no excess energy from missing his evening routine. Would definitely have Shelby over again!
Shelby loves all animals and cares for all of them like they’re her own. She is very attuned to their needs and loves to give them exactly what they want and need, whether it’s really good scritches, the meds they need, or deserved treats. Shelby bonds with every animal she meets and is a great caregiver for dogs, cats, and exotic pets alike.
Shelby is a great pet caregiver, including pets with specific medical needs. She is capable of administering any needed medication and providing any special care. She is extremely diligent, has great attention to detail, and will make sure that your pet gets all of the affection that they need. Even my most shy cat warmed up to her quickly. She is particularly excellent with cats, but also works great with dogs and exotic pets.
Shelby is a wonderful, warm and dedicated pet sitter. She loves my dog, Izzy and my dog loves her. I have complete confidence in her ability to care for Izzy. I highly recommend her!

Schedule
I’m available most days after 9:00 am and before 9:00 pm for a drop in visit. Animal care is very important to me and a big part of my daily routine.
