I am nearly 100% retired and enjoy spending time with loving animals while their human family spends time away. I work hard to make sure their time is as precious as yours and mine. Since my two sweet pups traveled over the rainbow bridge, I have found joy in caring for pups of other families. About: Hello!!! I’m Niki and I’ve been doing pet care, paid and unpaid for probably my whole life! I’ve always been an animal lover. So before I started my corporate job, I signed up for a different pet sitting app, which turned into traveling the world to care for pets. I have cared for animals in Costa Rica, England, France, Canada and all over the states. And have even been flown back to Canada and England multiple times for repeat pet sitting visits. When I started working corporate, I stopped doing it for a while. But I always miss caring for a sweet animal. Now that I have a remote corporate position, my work allows me deep pockets of time between meetings throughout the day, which gives me more time! I am signing back up to merge my two goals, caring for animals while making a little extra money for help me go to a destination wedding at the end of the year. Since it’s a destination wedding I’m also pretty determined to get in shape, so if you have an active animal that needs a good walk, I am your girl! About: I have previously worked at a dog kennel in Idaho before moving to Colorado. I know how to do oral medications for cats and dogs. I studied veterinary science during my senior year of high school and received certifications in animal handling and husbandry. I have an extreme passion for animals of all shapes and sizes and always put their needs first. I am a college student with a relatively open schedule. The schedule listed is not my entire availability and I would love to talk about other openings in my schedule for care. About: 13+ years of animal care! I have had many pets of my own growing up and currently have a dog named Ayza, so I am no stranger to animal care and I love all types of animals. I have done lots of pet and house sitting over the years so I've also learned to make friends with animals quickly and in all different types of settings. I have trained 3 puppies and given care to 2 elderly dogs who both required special care including medications. I love fostering cats/kittens when I am able, my latest foster was a pair of kittens only weeks old who had a rough respiratory infection at the time, they are both healthy and with a loving home together now! Working on a farm with animals I learned how to manage emergency situations as they arose, things like wounds, sickness, and other aliments and have become comfortable managing any challenging situations that may arise. I work remotely and set my own hours, meaning I have plenty of time and attention to give to your pets! I can fit just about any pet care requirements you have into my schedule. I have homes in both Colorado Springs and Fort Collins where I spend most of my time but I also travel the country in my converted camper van! As an adult, I adopted my own dog, Karma, who had been abandoned on the street. Because of her background, she came to me with significant fears of men and other dogs. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, I successfully socialized and trained her from scratch. She blossomed into a wonderful, confident, and loving companion who stayed by my side for 12 beautiful years before passing away in 2022. While I still miss having a pup of my own, my heart is ready to share my love, patience, and expertise with new furry friends. I am currently living in Arlington, VA, and am immediately available to help care for your beloved cats and dogs. Pet care is a top priority in my daily routine, not an afterthought.
