“Beanie was so well cared for and had great company. He enjoys the attention he gets from little ones and having another smaller dog was great. I appreciated the updates and am especially thankful for the accommodation on the late request.”

“I almost hate to tell the truth because we want Joan all to ourselves!! Our pup just loves staying with Joan. She comes home happy and well rested. Our girl is shy and nervous but took to Joan right away. Joan is awesome!”

“Patrick was absolutely wonderful with our “new-to-us” dog, who is still working through some behavior things. From the moment we met him, we immediately felt confident that our dog would be well cared for—his calm demeanor, clear experience, and the way he treats his own animals truly stood out. Patrick was very communicative throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. He has a fantastic space and clearly spends a lot of quality time with the animals in his care. We’re so grateful for his patience and understanding and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a thoughtful, attentive dog sitter.”

“She is great, and my kitty had a whole room to himself! She spoiled him, and worked hard to keep him happy and healthy. Will definitely trust her anytime with my little dude.”

“Ben was wonderful watching our puppy Benny for a last minute trip! He’s a great communicator with a clear love for dogs! He sent us updates about our puppy while we were gone and was super easy going! Would love to have him watch our puppy again in the future!”

“Thanks to Judith, we were able to have a relaxing international vacation without having to worry about our sweet pup. She was thorough and took great care of her. We got updates on how our dog was doing since she can get quite nervous to be away from us. We are so thankful that we were able to enjoy our vacation while our dog had a mini vacation at Judith's house. We have already booked our next trip with her!”

“My dog did great with Delane and her family while we were gone for over two weeks. Delane kept in great touch with photos and my dog got to enjoy the fenced in back yard and some other dog friends. He had a great stay!”

“Could not say more positive things about Nawal & Thomas! They went above and beyond with keeping me up to date about all the happenings and adventures my Greyson went on. They genuinely loved him like their own and he came home so incredibly calm and happy. Thank you so so much! Would book again in a heartbeat.”

“Andrea and her dog Danny are the perfect little dog hosts! Our guy, Monty, thoroughly enjoyed his stay, as evidenced by the copious videos and pictures of him having a blast. Highly recommended for small dog owners!”

“We left our dog with Ashlan for 10 days and our dog did so well. Ashlan gave us regular updates, gave her love, and took her on walks. Upon meeting Ashlan you can immediately tell she is a true animal lover. I will be using Ashlan every time we go out of town!”

“Shyla was absolutely amazing for watching our dog! She constantly gave updates with photos and videos and kept us up to date with how he was doing while we were gone. She even was so kind to watch him and take care of him after we learned he tore his ACL and had to be restricted in movement and she made sure he was taken care of! Definitely recommend her for watching and caring for your dog! ☺️”

“Alejandra and Patrick take the best care of our 10-year-old Lhasapoo, Gus. I love the photo collages they send along with updates on how Gus is adjusting and getting along with the other dogs. This weekend Gus was one of 7 (including their own dog) and he had a great time! Alejandra and Patrick are the absolute best! I highly recommend them!”

“Austin was great!!! Her communication was fast and helpful. We loved getting updates. She had our puppy for 8 days right when we got her so there was not much information to go off is to give her and she just ran with it! Bernie returned happy and healthy :)”

“Hillary is kind and so loving with our dog. I received pictures and updates each day. And her family is absolutely delightful. Highly recommend! Will book again with Hillary soon!”

“Had to book last minute, Stephanie and Jennifer were very quick to respond and always very accommodating for our boys. Will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Glee is a wonderful person and we can’t thank her enough for how she treats our girls. Very attentive to their needs and she ensures a lot of outdoor time from walks to visiting friends.”

“Nichole was a great sitter and extremely responsive. Our dog had the best stay at her house and was sad to leave when we came and picked him up. She has a great fenced in yard which Hooch loved and he got plenty of exercise. Will book again!”

“Andrea provided exceptional care for my corgi. I loved getting the daily updates and pictures! Duchess adored Andrea’s girls and it was obvious the feeling was mutual! It was so apparent that she was happy, comfortable and not at all stressed, exactly what I was looking for. I HIGHLY recommend her to care for your pet!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Loveland
We recently lost our other dog to old age and this was the first time Kaia was staying with a sitter by herself and our regular sitter was unavailable, so I was a little nervous for her, but Erich sent lots of pictures and funny updates that helped put my mind at ease while we were away. He has a great backyard space that Kaia loved hanging out in and I heard she particularly loved watching the chickens. She got along with Erich's pup as well and was happy and healthy when we picked her up. We would definitely use Erich as a sitter again. Thank you!

Kristin and Andy were great! They took care of Bodie like he was part of their family. Bodie had a great time with their dog Tucker playing in the backyard and on their walks. We loved the daily pictures and communication from them. We will definitely use them again.

Erin was absolutely wonderful with our dogs. She was attentive, communicative, and genuinely caring the entire time. I got regular updates and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. Our dogs came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well‑loved. Highly recommend Erin!

Leah was amazing! She sent lots of updates and videos and photos. The dogs went to the lake and chased squirrels and got to run around and play with her dog while also getting cuddle time on the couch. The dogs came back just as they were before and probably even happier. So much better than a boarding facility where my husky has come back pretty traumatized and with unwanted behaviors from. We’ll be using Leah for all our future boarding if possible!

Ryan was a true lifesaver!! I could tell Finn was well cared for from the updates and pictures. Ryan even picked up and dropped Finn off which was amazing so I didn’t need to load kids and a dog. We had a great experience and will definitely be booking again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
