“Beanie was so well cared for and had great company. He enjoys the attention he gets from little ones and having another smaller dog was great. I appreciated the updates and am especially thankful for the accommodation on the late request.”

“Shyla was absolutely amazing for watching our dog! She constantly gave updates with photos and videos and kept us up to date with how he was doing while we were gone. She even was so kind to watch him and take care of him after we learned he tore his ACL and had to be restricted in movement and she made sure he was taken care of! Definitely recommend her for watching and caring for your dog! ☺️”

“Brenda and Deb were so flexible in taking care of both of our dogs including our young puppy :) We are so grateful to them for their love and kindness. Our older anxious dog is happy to arrive and then didn’t want to leave which is the best sign!!”

“Selena was fantastic! Great communication from initial contact and lots of updates and pictures while our girl stayed with her for a week. We will absolutely rebook with her for future trips!!”

“Noah did an excellent job watching my dog while I was away. He consistently provided updates on my dog's well-being and shared photos periodically, which reassured me that my furry friend was happy and healthy. The environment where my dog stayed was clean and welcoming, making it clear that Noah takes great pride in providing a comfortable space for pets. I couldn't have asked for a better caretaker for my beloved companion!”

“The meet and greet went well, and Arrow was happy to go to their home. Stacy was communicative and responsive throughout. That said, Arrow’s high energy level proved to be a bit much for their household. They took him on daily walks but needed to crate him at times for a break, and ultimately felt he was too much for their dog. Arrow seemed happy when we picked him up, and overall this was a good learning experience — this placement has helped us identify that this particular home is better suited for a lower-energy dog.”

“Leesa and her husband are the best sitters ever. No question. Leesa clearly loves dogs and does her best to make her home welcoming to them. She sent video and picture updates throughout the stay. She followed our instructions to a T and made sure she got their medication schedule right. I just wish she didn’t stay so booked so we could use her every time. Thanks again!”

“Marion and her family are great! They’ve taken care of our dogs multiple times and our pups always love it there. We get lots of updates and pictures and never have to worry about their care when they’re with Marion.”

About: Have dog sat a couple of times. I don't have a dog, but willing to have one around the house for those who need a dog sitter for a few days. My wife and I have opposite work schedule, so someone is home about 85 % of the time. Would be able to have someone take dogs for walks throughout the day, or watch them in the back yard Pets will be indoor. Have a fenced back yard when needed to go outside for bathroom needs. We don't have other pets , so your pet would not take away attention from your pet
“Rosa clearly loves animals and is a great communicator. I'd hire her again in a heart beat to watch my little guy - he was definitely well cared for and it's clear that he enjoyed his boarding stay when I picked him up. If you're looking for a great sitter Rosa's the one!”

“We left our dog with Ashlan for 10 days and our dog did so well. Ashlan gave us regular updates, gave her love, and took her on walks. Upon meeting Ashlan you can immediately tell she is a true animal lover. I will be using Ashlan every time we go out of town!”

“Jen has been one of my go to’s when looking for a sitter. I trust Jen and feel that Sloane is safe whenever I leave her there. Jen takes Sloane on walks and sends updates throughout the day, which I appreciate! And I know Sloane enjoys having a backyard to run around in.”

“Carrie was amazing and even got one of my boys a Birthday present! I was so nervous leaving them but Carrie sent me lots of pictures and kept me updated the whole time!”

“We love Andrea! More importantly, our dog loves Andrea, her son and Danny, her dog. We are incredibly grateful to have found such an amazing pet sitter for our Murphy. 💕”

Our dog Remington loves Callie and Aaron and they always take the best care of him as well as send the cutest pictures while we are gone. Remington mostly only stays with family but I think he enjoys staying with Callie the most. He loves their dog Nugget and enjoys all the snuggles and walks. Thanks for all the love you give to our old boy!

Naomi is excellent as always! She is professional and trustworthy - and my girls love her and her beautiful family. She keeps me updated with real-time photos/videos of my girls, so I know they are being well-cared for and safe. I would highly recommend her for all of your pet-sitting needs!

Our dog Ginger stayed with Jamie and Ryusei for the weekend and they treated Ginger like she was one of their own. They sent many pictures of Ginger so we could see how happy she was. I would recommend Jamie and Ryusei to care for your pet. We will be using them again when need be.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
