“Adrienne always takes great care of our dog, she’s accommodating to our pup’s needs and has a great spot that any dog would love. She is also super easy to communicate with.”

“We left our dog with Ashlan for 10 days and our dog did so well. Ashlan gave us regular updates, gave her love, and took her on walks. Upon meeting Ashlan you can immediately tell she is a true animal lover. I will be using Ashlan every time we go out of town!”

“This was the first time I've used Tamara. She did a great job with our anxious havanese, Parker, and I think he settled right in. She has a small dog herself and it sounds like they got along well. Communication was great, as well the photos she sent while we were gone. Recommend!”

“Jeremy and his wife were awesome with our 2 dogs. They were very communicative, asked us all the right questions on dog care needs and personalities, and did a great job. Thanks for the pics, and for loving on our dogs! They both seemed happy when we picked them back up. Their house was a great setup as well, clean, big, and a nice fenced in clean back yard for the dogs to play. Will book again!”

“Katya and Kyle took such amazing care of our Barley while we were out of town for 9 days! Their two dogs are so sweet and were the perfect companions for Barley to play with in their large yard. Katya and Kyle are very active and took the dogs on lots of walks and gave Barley plenty of exercise while we were away. Katya sent photos every day and made us feel that Barley was right at home. We already have talked about booking with Katya again when we are out of town next!”

“Waydene was an absolute pleasure. She allowed us to come over for a meet and great before hand. Her dogs are absolutely wonderful with new dogs and made our nervous pup feel right at home. Her properly is perfectly fitted for dogs and our young dog came home happy, well exercised, and eager for another visit. I’d highly recommend Waydene to anyone looking for a new sitter in the Fort Collins area.”
“Leslie is so caring! We love that she updated us a few times on how our dog was doing while we were away. We know our dog was well cared for and loved. It’s such a blessing to be able to truly relax on vacation knowing that our fur baby was having a good time.”

“Cole and Michael were amazing and they have a beautiful property with a large fenced in area! Cole sent us frequent updates and pictures which put our minds at ease while traveling. She also handled it wonderfully when our dog had a minor medical issue during his stay. She was very communicative and kept in contact with us while she took him to his vet. She did a great job administering his medications and kept us updated on how he was doing. We felt so comfortable with them watching our dog and would definitely use them again!”

“We were very happy that we found Erin and Sebastian to take care of Taz while we were on a trip. From our first meeting it was obvious they care about animals. Erin sent several updates and pictures during the week to let us know Taz was in good hands and doing fine. Will not hesitate to use them again if needed. Thanks again for your care.”
“Having just moved to a new town, knowing you’ll need some level of dog care it was so nice to meet Grace. Communication was great, and I felt immediately comfortable leaving Blu in her care. Blu had a great stay and I would definitely use Grace again and highly recommend her. Thanks.”

“The meet and greet went well, and Arrow was happy to go to their home. Stacy was communicative and responsive throughout. That said, Arrow’s high energy level proved to be a bit much for their household. They took him on daily walks but needed to crate him at times for a break, and ultimately felt he was too much for their dog. Arrow seemed happy when we picked him up, and overall this was a good learning experience — this placement has helped us identify that this particular home is better suited for a lower-energy dog.”

“I had a wonderful feeling after pick my dog up from her house, I could tell my dog had a great time at her house while I was gone. I already refered some people at the dog park . Thank you so much Dayna !”

“Leslie and Adam are such warm and friendly people. We left Lulu with them for an extended stay and they took great care of her. We felt good knowing Lulu was enjoying playing with the kids and the other dogs. We would definitely hope to leave Lulu with them again when the need arises. Highly recommend.”

“Will be using Yi Ling H every time we come into town, she kept me updated with the whole stay, definitely gave me peace of mind that my dog was in good hands and well taken care of! Thank you so much!”

“Our pup, Luna, is right at home at Andrew’s home. Andrew is considerate, communicated well, and is full of Love. Luna is currently curled up and exhausted from playing with her pals the last few days. We highly recommend Andrew!”

“Natasha provided a comfortable home away from home for our senior dog. She sent many pictures and it was clear from those that he was well cared for. He came home happy and healthy. Natasha was very responsive and communicative.”

“Stephanie & Jennifer took great care of Mickey for a whole week! He had a lot of fun playing with their dogs and going on walks. I got daily photo and video updates of Mickey! I recommend this caretaker to anyone who needs someone to watch their pup!”

Best dog sitter in Fort Collins!! (The only one we used while passing through, but I'm willing to bet...) John was amazing with our pup. We felt totally confident and comfortable with her in his care for 3 days while we were in town for concerts at the Mishawaka. He is a great communicator and takes his role very seriously. We are so thankful for his help! 10 stars!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
