Your guilt-free time away!Johnstown, CO

If you are looking for a safe and happy home for your dog and a guilt-free time away, you are in the right place! I’m a retired executive who unapologetically loves dogs, and I’m happy to extend a warm welcome to your precious friend.

My spacious house comes with a large fenced yard, doggie door for potty breaks anytime day and night, lots of toys, play and belly rubs. Dogs are allowed to run freely in the house as well as hang out on couches so that they can cuddle with me. I’ll keep a close eye on your dog, feed him/her according to your instructions, administer meds if required and take him/her for walks around the lake half a mile from the house.

For over a decade I used to breed Dobermans, and now I have a wonderful 2-year old dog Raven who was a rescue at seven weeks. Raven is a Lab/Border Collie mix who gets along super well with all dogs and people and who’s currently in training to become a therapy service dog. She loves to play with our guest dogs and keeps them exercised. There are no other animals or children in the house.

You’re welcome to leave your dog with me for an overnight stay, extended stay or daycare. No need to worry about strict drop off/pick up times – I’m flexible.

Feel free to reach out to say Hi and ask any questions you might have.

To summarize:

• Retired executive, dog lover all my life

• Loving environment, lots of toys, play and belly rubs

• Lots of care and attention, never more than 4 guest dogs in the house

• No children or animals in the house, except for my super friendly 2-year old dog Raven

Home care

• Spacious 4,000 sf house

• Doggie door for potty breaks anytime day and night

• Large fenced yard

• 6-foot wood plank fence all around

• Plush green grass in the yard

• Home sits on ¼ acre lot

• Dogs run freely around the house

• Dogs are allowed on couches so they can cuddle with me

• Well-trained dogs sleep in my bedroom in their own beds if provided by owner, or in our super comfy bagel beds

• If necessary, dog crates are available for shy dogs for quiet time

• Feeding as per owner’s instructions, including meds and supplements

Dogs

• Must be potty trained

• No barkers (occasional yelps are part of play of course)

• No drooling dogs, please! After all, they are guests in my home, not a dog park or doggie daycare facility

• No puppies! As much as I love puppies, all dogs must be past the age of chewing at the furniture

• Must be friendly and get along with other dogs

• All breeds up to around 80 pounds are welcome, except for drooling dogs

• All ages except as noted above; no senior dogs that cannot be trusted with their potty habits

Other

• Please come for a meet-and-greet before bringing your dog the first time

• Flexible drop off/pickup hours for daycare and boarding; no need to worry if you are working overtime

I am back to working from Home! Yay. Since I do work, All drops and pick ups M-F must be before 8 and after 5. I am home all day with guests and they have full run of house and secure yard. If you are an established client and don't see a day available you need, call or email me. Your stay is all inclusive. Please be prepared to sign boarding agreement and provide shot records on all guests.

We Speak fluent dog. We (being the furry kids and myself) foster puppy mill survivors and take in the special survivors. Those who have been abused and hurt in the mills, so patience is a must. Our house is all dog, no carpet, pet friendly and dog door. All exits have gates that are closed if door is open. Back yard gates are locked and no digging as there is concrete all around base of fencing. All fencing is 6 ft. wood privacy fence. Only dog friendly plants and grass. Furniture is all dog friendly. There are dog stairs for those who need a little assistance and "bat caves" for those who want privacy. While at first glance it seems like chaos it is really a well controlled puppy camp. After all it is all about the dogs.

We lost Dezi , a puppy mill survivor himself, his poor old body just gave out on him. Too much overbreeding and time in the mill. His facebook page lives one to promote the evils of puppy mills.

Sassy and Tinker have stepped up and taken over the host duties and are doing a smashing job.

ABOUT ME:

From the moment I heard about DogVacay (now Rover), I knew how I wanted to fill my time during retirement. My hubby and I have been dog owners all our lives and in our 42-year-marriage, our home has been “home away from home” for many four-legged friends. The PAW'nd-erosa provides personalized, caring, in-home pet services to folks with small dogs that they do not get from kennels.

OUR HOME:

• Fenced yard

• Pets allowed on furniture

• Great for all ages

• Smoke-free environment

• Air conditioned inside

• Guest kennels available (inside, next to our doggie’s kennels). For the safety of your dog(s), all dogs (including ours) will be kenneled if I must leave the house.

• HOURS: Drop-offs and pick-ups between 9a and 6p, please (to give our current guests the attention and care you desire). Please extend the stay if you need drop-off or pick-up between 6p and 9a.

We have lived on The POND-erosa (a tad bit under three acres)--(5 miles) West of Loveland for 28+ years. No need to travel to town to the dog park: Our dogs have a large house and a huge, fully fenced, back yard to run and play (and the fence is high).

OUR RESIDENT PETS:

Currently we have two dogs who love having other friends to play with:

• Chewie, a male Norfolk Terrier mix, age 3-ish (a rescue adopted from ARR/Animal Rescue of the Rockies)

• Addy, the female Brittany Spaniel, age 9, who came to live with us because she would not stay in her yard in Denver

Our dogs are kennel-trained, and we need our guests to be also, so please bring your dog’s “home” (and their bed and/or blanket) when you visit. We have found that kennels provide a spot where dogs feel safe and can rest when they need quiet time (kennel doors are always left open unless I must leave for a bit).

I prefer to meet guests prior to being a first-time boarder to ensure a good fit. Since I welcome boarders into every aspect of our lives, and want them to be “part of the family”, I want everyone to feel comfortable during their visit to The PAW’nd-erosa.

(Slightly higher Holiday rates apply during these peak times of the year.)

NOTE to REPEAT GUESTS:

Should my calendar appear booked, please reach out to me. It may be that some guests are leaving and some are arriving on a given day which makes me appear "full" when I really am not. I do not want to miss an opportunity to care for your pup(s) again (we LOVE our repeat guests!).

Caring & Reliable-24/7 Animal LoverLongmont, CO

Ever since I can remember I have always loved animals, especially dogs. My first dog was Ginger, a sweet and very energetic English Pointer who I adopted from the humane society. I have now owned 4 dogs with all different and quirky personalities.

When you see ‘we’, it means my husband (Chet) and I work as a team to care for your pet. You can have full faith and confidence in the care your pet/best friend will receive when booking with us, because we love them as though they are our own. I have 20 plus years experience caring for dogs and exotic animals.

I grew up dog sitting and house sitting, and walked dogs for my neighbors, friends and family. I even have 3 years experience working with wild dogs at the Zoo. Chet grew up in NE, farming and has a lot of experience in animal care.

We treat our pets as though they are our children- they are a part of our family. They have a full basket of toys & get to play games with myself, Chet and our three boys.

We are very hospitable to what you and your pets need are. If you have a very energetic Lab or puppy who needs daily walks and stimulation, or an older dog who may be hard of hearing, blind or is unable to go up & down stairs; we are fully capable of accommodating to what your pet pets needs are.

We have a fully fenced in yard - front and back. Each area can be closed off, so you don’t have to worry that your Husky will jump the front fence or your small 11 year old terrier will get trampled by the energetic 3 month old Great Dane. We make sure each dog/pet is matched up and playing with an appropriate playmate.

We always feed pets separately as well as give treats and bones.

I am a stay at home mom, so your fur baby will have someone around 8 plus hours a day. We try to go for walks daily & even take trips to local parks. Your dog, cat or small critter will love staying with us. It will be a home away from home...pulse maybe some extra treats!

A Friend of Animals Everywhere.Fort Collins, CO

I am a Veterinary Technician, and am also planning on attending Veterinary School. I am currently a student in Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

I've owned, looked after and taken care of dogs my entire life. I have extensive experience with all breeds and sizes of dogs: from owning 4 lb Chihuahuas all the way to owning 150 lb Great Danes. I also have extensive experience caring for senior, rescue, and handicapped pets (both of my own dogs are seniors and handicapped).

I'm active, take my dog on daily walks, go to the dog park, car rides, road trips, etc. I use positive reinforcement, and TLC for training. I do not use hitting, choke chains, or anything like that. I try and keep up on latest dog training and techniques.

I am also very accommodating to my client's schedules for pick up/drop off times.

I am a lifelong dog lover; exercising, training, and loving dogs are my favorite jobs. I am trained in positive reinforcement behavior, and have a natural affinity for making dogs comfortable and relaxed. I believe strongly in the benefits of regular exercise and training, and make my own treats using only healthy ingredients. My yard is completely fenced and safe for even very small dogs. I am retired and all of my time is available to dedicate to your dog’s needs. I have four dog beds and have happily boarded dogs for friends and family for years. Dogs are my passion and making them feel loved and cared for is my primary goal. Your dog is invited to the party! Come home to a relaxed happy dog.

Your pet's home away from homeFort Collins, CO

We are always home. I am a full time pet sitter and so happy to be here for your pets. We love all dogs and breeds and making them comfortable when they are separated from their owners (and giving the owners peace of mind) is very rewarding.

Why I love dog sitting

Because dogs are literally the best thing ever. Can't even imagine a life without dogs!

About my yard

We have a great space for dogs and an amazing walking trail that goes around our neighborhood.

My experience administering medication

So many of our clients have to take medicine on a regular basis due to a variety of needs, we are at the expert level here with oral medication. Shots are not something we have had to do regularly, but we are comfortable with that too.

Fun Dog Lover in Loveland COLoveland, CO

I love dogs and make every effort to make our dog guests more than just a guest. We want them to be loved and feel like they are home. I’m currently unemployed so my schedule is very flexible. I’m able to transport them if needed too.

I have a fur-girl named Lexi. She is a sweet heart and loves all her playmates. She is a 50lb Pit Bull mix who thinks she is a human and loves to cuddle.

I am an equal opportunity dog lover, all shapes and sizes are welcome. My parents currently have a bichon and I grew up with a little lasa-poo.

I am responsible and reliable. Take the dogs for walks and love to take pictures and send you updates.
