As a self-employed digital marketer with over 10 years of experience, I'm fortunate to have a flexible schedule that I control. Rather than simply taking on more marketing clients, I chose to fill part of my day with something I truly love — spending time with cats. It's a wonderful change of pace from screen time and gives me the chance to be active, playful, and present with animals who need companionship. The flexibility of my work means I can accommodate morning and evening visits when life (or vacation!) happens and pet parents need a hand.

Before I leave, I gather toys and tidy up cat's play space — and I send 2–4 photos or videos with an update so you can see how they're doing. With your approval, I also bring treats or a special toy with me on my visits to make our time together extra special. Above all, I treat every cat in my care the way I'd want my own treated — with patience, attentiveness, and love.

A typical day with me revolves around one simple goal: keeping your cat from feeling alone. When I arrive, I start by letting your cat set the pace — some greet me at the door, others watch from afar until they're ready. I make sure all their basic needs are met: fresh food served their way, clean water, a tidy litter box, and any routine items they depend on. But it doesn't stop there. I believe the best care comes from real connection, so I spend time playing with your cat — wands, toys, and silly voices included. I love talking to them throughout the visit, and I especially love it when they talk back with a meow or a chirp! I aim to make them laugh, move, and feel loved while ensuring when I leave they are tired, content, and ready for a good nap. And most importantly, I hope they learn to look forward to my visits — to get excited knowing that someone's coming just to spend time with them.

Whether your kitty is a zoomies-at-3am dynamo or a shy couch companion who needs patience and gentle coaxing, I adapt to what they need most. I'm hands-on and love getting on the floor with a wand toy, making silly sounds, and running around with a playful cat — but I'm equally happy providing a quiet presence for an anxious or elderly cat who just wants company and a few head scratches. I currently share my home with two Bengals: Winston, a special needs boy who requires extra TLC and close attention, and Artemis, who I lovingly call "spicy" — she's not big on being touched and can startle easily. Living with them has made me especially skilled at reading body language, respecting boundaries, and building trust with cats who need time to warm up. What sets me apart: - Tailored attention: I know that different breeds and personalities need different things — some cats need 10–15 minutes of vigorous play, others need a slow brush and a calm lap to sit near. She sent pictures, stayed over longer than asked or expected (so sweet), actually PLAYED with our cat, took care of him and send updates and photos. We prioritize travel and do not have family in the area, so it’s so nice to find someone you can fully trust with your pet. She took away any stress and we really appreciate Colleen! You’re the best!
Colleen was not only our neighbor and dear friend, she also looked after our two dogs and home whenever we needed them looked after. Our dogs absolutely LOVED her and so did we haha! She is incredibly detail oriented, thoughtful, loving and thoroughly enjoys taking care of any and all pets. She would be sure to let us know when she was coming and going, if there were any issues or hiccups, and double check coming home eta’s. I would highly recommend Colleen for your pet sitting needs.
