“Olivia was so accommodating with my dog. He is usually anxious with leaving me but he was happy to be there when we dropped him off. Will definitely use them again in the future”

“Dulce always has a blast here with Joanne! Always trying to keep up with the other dogs! Definitely one of her favorite places! Always looking forward to bringing her back!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since childhood, starting with training and walking my first dog, which helped me develop patience, consistency, and a strong understanding of trust. I later co-parented a high-needs dog, gaining experience with behavior management, individual care needs, and medication administration. Throughout my life, friends and neighbors have relied on me to care for their animals, and I pride myself on being dependable, calm, and attentive. I also live an active lifestyle and would love to bring your dog along on hikes or outdoor adventures if that’s something they enjoy. I currently work part time in a hybrid role, and I love to fill some of my time caring for pups! I can’t wait to find out how I can support. My clean and spacious home is the perfect landing space for your pup between walks, potty breaks, rides around town, higher intensity hikes, or whatever activities your dog enjoys the most. Your dog will have the freedom to roam where they please, sit with me on the couch, or insist upon another walk. I pride myself on my attention to detail and risk management when it comes to any environment your dog and I are sharing, while optimizing fun and enrichment. Conveniently located next to a trail and several parks, we will have no shortage of excellent places to jaunt and play!
“Kyleigh has been so good with our anxious pup Kermit. She spent time getting to know him during a meet and greet and when we brought him back for day care a couple weeks later he pulled me to the door because he was so excited to be there. Kyleigh has been very flexible and laid back in the best way and I can tell that Kermit feels safe around her— and her boyfriend Chris, which is a big deal because Kermit does not typically do well around men. Thanks Kyleigh!”

“Anna was great for our doggy day care stay! This was our first time leaving our young puppy alone and she calmed our fears by sending photos and updates throughout the day. Our normally nervous pup loved playing in Anna’s yard with her other dogs. We can’t wait to send him there again, even if just to get some play time in!”
About: I've fostered and adopted many animals, including those with medical conditions and treatments. I'm passionate about senior dog care and love ❤️, but I love all animals. From snuggles to special diets, medications, exercise, PT, walks, mental stimulation, and playtime, I'm up for it all. I currently work full time but will be transitioning to a remote job from home. I feed my dog in the morning before work and have a 2 hour morning routine, then break for lunch for feeding, bathroom and snuggles, and then dinner and bathroom after work at 5pm and play in evening time. When working from home, I take frequent breaks to walk and stimulate my buddies. I have a lovely middle-aged shih tzu named "Princess Peach" who is a great companion and dog and cat host. My house is a 2 bedroom ranch style home with basement in a terrific walkable neighborhood. I have a backyard with a chain link fence along a residential street. I have a reliable car and can lift and transport large and small animals with care. I'm attentive and observant and observe all rules of clients' homes. I'm very respectful of others' spaces and clean up immediately after any mess.

About: I have cared for dozens of dogs, cats and pets over the last 25 years. I bring a calming, grounded energy and an intelligent, thoughtful approach when caring for animals. I am self-employed as an insurance broker and can work from anywhere with cell service/internet. This gives me a ton of flexibility with scheduling and availability. I work closely with pet owners to follow specific care instructions and take their personal preferences very seriously. I understand that pets are part of the family and have their own unique routines, needs and care requirements.
“Mary is simply amazing. She has a real gift with animals, and, it would seem, can see into their souls. My GSP, Cass, has had a very hard life and can have real anxiety when staying outside our home. Mary experimented with different classical composers until she found one that made Cass relax. When I went to pick up Cass. she was happy to see me but still very happy to hang out with Mary. We're making plans to have Cass visit for day care regularly and work up to over-nighters. Mary has a large fenced-in yard in a rural part of town which was perfect for a bird dog to go hang out in all day. As a result, Cass was really tuckered out and slept soundly through the night! Can not recommend Mary enough!”

“Noah was great! It was a last minute booking and I was so glad he came through. We got alot of pictures of Charlie having a blast playing with the other dogs and boy was he pooped wheb he got home! Sign of a fun day for him! I would definitely recommend Noah and his doggy love!”

About: Grew up with Rusty, Fifi and Rocky. My kids grew up with Scout. Precious visits from Chloe, Lexi, Lilly, Joey, Forest, Katie, Cowboy, Kiah, Riggo and other dog friends. I have also provided medication including injections as needed. I’m an active retiree with a dog door to fenced yard. As a triathlete I thrive on exercise. Outdoors in my nearby parks + dog walking = 😊Glee I treat clients dogs as if they’re my own. I send frequent photos of our activities. I always consider their safety and the wishes of the people they live with. I watch two dogs at a time if they come from the same home. Otherwise only one dog at a time. Even though I do not have children in my home I do want for my grandsons (5&7) to be safe and comfortable visiting at times. Therefore, I choose not to watch dogs that do not do well with children or if the owner is unsure about their dog with children. I regret to mention I would not be willing to watch pit mixes. I’m sure many are wonderful dogs. I just can’t take the chance. Thank you for your understanding.
“Alix is an excellent sitter for Rudy! She is super communicative and takes great care of Rudy! She made us feel super comfortable and provided him with plenty of cuddles!”

“Christine was fantastic and Lulu had a great time playing with Hondo! Lulu is a very anxious dog—Christine was understanding of her needs and Lulu warmed to her within just this first daycare visit. I’ll definitely be booking again and grateful to have another spot where I know Lu will be happy and wonderfully cared for.”

“Khristina and Sven are amazing! They responded our messages almost right away, and gave updates and photos of our dog from time to time. Our 1yo dog appeared to have a really good time in their place, as he returned home with little energy left (a plus for us!) We definitely will reach out to them again when we need help!”

“Linnea was 11/10 when caring for piper. I was super nervous at first when I moved here not knowing anyone or anyone that knew piper. Linnea eased those emotions quickly. She sends updates through out the day and pictures! Piper and Ellie became the best of friends, if you are looking for someone to care for your dog while out of town or just at work go to Linnea! She will treat and love your dog like her own!”

Thanks :) **** I always ensure that your pets are in either a fenced in yard, or on leash while walked out in the neighborhood. I have experience with neurotic, fearful pups who need some extra lovin’, and may take their sweet time to get to know me and/ or need to be muzzled to go on a walk. I have cared for 8 week old puppies, and 19.5 year old kitties and elderly dogs. My love and respect for animals is always at the forefront of the time I spend in your home with your furry family members!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hygiene commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,112 sitters in Hygiene, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
