About: I’ve been around dogs and cats ever since I was born, and have continued to surround myself with them even after leaving for college. I frequently help out at shelters and have recently branched out to start cat and dog-sitting. I also have two feline friends of my own, who I have had for around three years now :) I take care of my cats throughout the day (feeding, cleaning, and playing with them). This is easy to fit into my work schedule as I work remotely. And with this added flexibility, comes the ability to look after other pets as well! I have plenty of of experience dog and cat sitting, and like to spend lots of time with the animals I stop in to look after. I’m responsible when it comes to feeding pets strictly what the owner says and respect any rules they put in place regarding their pets. I’m readily available to chat over the phone and am happy to send update pictures throughout the day.
“We love Chelsea! If you have a cat or cats you know that they are creatures of habit and often don't love strangers or change. We have two cats with very difference personalities. If you came to visit, most likely you would think we only had one cat. Chelsea is always flexible and willing to go out of her way to be there for our kitties when they need her. Our girls remember her and love on her (even our skittish baby), which makes us feel very comforted when we are away. We had to unexpectedly extend our trip by a day and Chelsea was able to help us out by extending her visits, which we appreciate so much. We highly recommend her, don't hesitate to book!”

“Daniella was amazing!! She came over to meet us before our trip and the dogs immediately loved her. She sent us pictures and updates each time she came over and never did I worry or wonder about how the pups were doing. She's extremely friendly and trustworthy and I will definitely be hiring her again in the future.”

“Joanie was just wonderful with our dog, Arlow. She was attentive and responsible and really earned both Arlows and our trust. She is so sweet and reliable and we can’t wait to have her back as our sitter! I really felt like i could sit back and enjoy our vacation knowing Joanie was taking care of our puppers. 🖤 10/10”

“Otelia was such a great Rover! I had such an easy experience. She is very communicative which helped alleviate any anxiety I felt about leaving my kitty. She even left me a handwritten note at the end!”

“Ashley took great care of my dogs while I was away for a few days. She gave updates and sent photos and communicated the whole time promptly. I will reach out to her again for my future dog sitting needs! Thank you!”

“Excellent service and communication! The pup and the house were well taken care of and I returned to a very happy puppy and got to enjoy some very fun pics while I was on my trip! Will certainly be booking again! Thank you so much!”

“Kristen is an insightful animal sitter. Our cat is standoffish, but she's given plenty of time for our baby Chloe to get friendly. On the third visit Chloe adopted her. Thank you Kristen.”

About: I have 10 years experience working with dogs. I tailor my care to your pet's specific needs and likes, creating an environment that feels safe and comfortable while you are away. I am currently working part time, available Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. I am hoping to expand into full time care soon. I live in the West Gunbarrel area. I don't do walks when it is 90 degrees or hotter both for my safety and the safety of your pet. I pay close attention when leashing dogs for walks, making sure they are comfortable before going out with them. I have treats on hand and provide structured playtime.
“Falecia did an amazing job taking care of my two kitties, who are on the older side and have special medical needs, while I was away on a 5 day trip! I look forward to booking her again in the future!!”

“Mary was so helpful with dropping in 2x a day to take care of our two cats. It was great to see the check in photos. We appreciated the quick communication when one of our cats potentially had an issue. We would be happy to ask Mary to pet sit again!”

“Rachael is amazing- she is prompt, courteous, communicative, knoweldgable and so sweet with our 11 week old Chocolate Lab. She has taken wonderful care of her, helped her adjust to her crate with lots of extra help that she went out of her way to do. We trust her in our home and would 100% recommend and will use her again. Thank you so much, Rachael :) - Charlie & The Gibbs”

“Jennifer was fantastic! She kept us well informed and sent the best pictures. We had a snafu with our code lock and she let us know and didn’t leave until we had an alternative on the way. I’m pretty sure when I got home from my trip my pets were disappointed it was me and not Jennifer dropping in!”

“Holly is amazing! She takes such good care of my puppy, Kevin! She is punctual, efficient, communicative and super caring and fun with Kevin😊 Simply put, a working dog dad’s dream! Thanks so much Holly!”

“Jess took such amazing care of my cat Frankie! I only booked her for 30 minute drop in visits but she stayed much longer and made sure Frankie received lots of love and attention. She was a great communicator and sent me photos during each visit. Would definitely recommend and book Jess again for future cat sitting!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Gunbarrel
Morgan went above and beyond taking care of our cat! She even came back one day when she didn’t see our cat during her regular check in. Our cat was incredibly happy to see us, but far less needy than when other sitters have taken care of her. We just booked Morgan again for our next trip :)

Samantha did an excellent job with my two cats while I was away. She spent a good amount of time playing with them, promptly updated me on any kitty problems that arose, and sent plenty of well taken photos to keep me in the loop. It was very reassuring knowing that my cats were being well taken care of, and the notes left were very insightful. I would most definitely book again! Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gunbarrel. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
