Stay and Play!Lafayette, CO

Looking for a day, week or months of dog care? My boyfriend and I live on an acre of land, in a farm-like environment, on the border of Lafayette and Erie.

I love taking care of fur babies just like yours and providing the most fun, healthy and loving experience possible!

While here, your dog can expect:

* Lots of kisses, snuggles and attention from two dog lovers who work from home with a lifetime of experience working with dogs!

* Lots of socialization and playtime with other dogs (we average 8/night).

*24/7 access to our backyard with sun, shade, grass, water, toys and a deck (yes, your dog can sunbath :). In the Summertime, water loving dogs can enjoy a dip in our doggie pool!

*24/7 access to a dog friendly home set up with couches, chairs and dog beds where your dog can rest, sleep and relax (if your dog sleeps in a kennel, we can set their kennel up too).

*Feeding away from other dogs (we feed dogs 1 by 1) in our kitchen blocked by dog gates to ensure no food guarding or fights over food can break out.

*TONS of daily exercise either in our backyard playing fetch or chasing other dogs.

*Optional visits to dog parks, trails, and/or walks (depending on owner’s desires). We generally have a handful of very friendly and playful dogs here at any given time who form a pack family quite quickly.

*Elderly dogs who don't need to run miles to have a good night's rest can enjoy resting inside on our furniture or dog beds, or enjoy sunbathing and watching other dogs play from our deck.

*Medication (if required) is given on your pup's schedule.

-We have experience taking care of dogs with multiple health concerns including: paralyzation, Cushings Disease, recovering from strokes, recovering from broken bones, deaf, separation anxiety, incontinence, depression, allergies and more. We welcome special needs and high needs dogs.

*Access to multiple vets and animal hospitals (if needed) within minutes of our home.

*Included daily updates with photos and/or videos of your kiddo.

*An individual care program suited to you and your dogs needs. We pride ourselves in ensuring your kiddo has the most fun, healthy and loving experience possible while here. Many owners say their dog didn't want to leave!

Additionally, my boyfriend and I are both certified in Dog First Aid and CPR.

Home FT! Fun walks & LOTS of love!Lafayette, CO

I'm Lindsey, a stay-at-home mom with a life-long love of dogs. Being a stay-at-home mom allows me to be a stay-at-home dog sitter too, so your dog will rarely be alone!

I live in a neighborhood that has nice places to walk, with a park across the street from our house. The best part though is that we live just a few minutes away from a number of open space trails. I take my dogs walking on these trails everyday, and I know your pup will love these adventures as much as my dogs do.

You can look at my photos and see my two sweeties, Clover and Beastie. I have pics there of my human sweeties too, my husband and my two kids, ages 12 & 156, who are dog lovers as well. We have plenty of room in our house for more canine company, your dog can have a little breathing room if he or she needs it, or (s)he can come join me for a cuddle on the couch.

I know it can be a little stressful for dogs when their people are gone, so I'll do my best to make your dog's time with me like a little vacation, with fun walks and lots of love and belly rubs.

Why I love dog sitting

My love of animals has been a huge part of who I am since I was a child. It led me to work for a time after college as an adoption counselor at the Denver Dumb Friends League and as an employee at a Colorado Springs animal shelter as well. I grew up with cats, and loved them to pieces, but I've been a devoted dog owner for more than two decades now. I can't imagine life without them!

Meet my pets

We have two dogs, Clover & Beastie. Clover is a young pug. She's goofy and playful but loves cuddle time on the couch. Beastie is a funny little Chihuahua. He barks at dogs when he first meets them, as Chihuahuas are prone to do, but he gets over that quickly and then is his happy little self. We also a Red-Fronted Macaw named Bean, he's quite a character. We can handle doggie guests that are interested in the bird, but if your dog will be very focused on making the bird lunch, we might not be the best fit. If you're unsure, we can see how your dog does during the meet & greet. Most dogs do just fine with him.

About my yard

We have a large U-shaped yard that surrounds our house. Our fence is 3' tall. If there's any concern that your dog might jump the fence, I'll happily take your pup out on a leash or closely supervised.

My experience administering medication

Yes, I've given dogs subcutaneous injections, pills, eye drops, and ear medication.

"My pets are like my children"Broomfield, CO

I am a Lifelong pet lover that has had pets of all different types my whole life. My pets are like my children. To me, animals are just like people except that pets always give unconditional us love. We lost our two 4-legged children in December 2015. We had a German Shepherd (14) named "Ava" and a 1/2 Bassett Hound-1/2 St. Bernard (15) named "Bernie." They were such a big part of our life and we miss them very much. We cannot bring ourselves to get another dog of our own quite yet...

Taking care of your dog(s) will help us move on so that we can add to our family, in time. I do not work, so have plenty of time and they will not be left alone. We have a back yard with a privacy fence and neither of the side neighbors have dogs. On the other side of our locked gate is a walking path/greenbelt that is great for walking dogs. We have no children at home and plenty of space.

Daycare hours are between 6 am and 6 pm and if they are staying overnight, they must be picked up by 11 am the following morning. After 11 am, you will be charged for daycare on the second day.

Please bring your own food because I cannot provide every dog's normal food. I will give treats unless our they have dietary needs. I have toys but if they have a special toy I will keep them in a different area when not in use. It’s hard but I can not take dogs with the same or only a day notice as much as I would love to take every furry child I could, however if they don’t get along with others it may put other at risk.

Best dog vacation resort!Niwot, CO

My family and I love to have animals around. We have a great yard that is fully fenced. We also have 2 dogs from a 3year old up to 17 years. I am at home with my daughter most of the day. My daughter is very good with dogs. Our home is laid back and pretty quiet. My younger puppy wants friends to play with since the other one is tiny and old. We do a lot of dog parks and rides in the car if it is not too hot. We also have a pool, if your dog likes to swim. We have no cats, or small animals (other than the bunnies that wander the neighborhood). We live on a quiet cul de sac with very little traffic (two cars a day). I can deal with food aggressive dogs, and can take a few dogs at a time. Your dog will have the run of the house. Please bring a crate if your dog is destructive when being home alone. Otherwise, they will be out in the house or yard. Please note, all you will need to bring is food and a bed. We have leashes, bowls, treats and loads of love for your dogs to enjoy.

Welcoming northwest Boulder homeWonderland Hills, Boulder, CO

John and I are a retired professional couple living in northwest Boulder. We've been dog owners for over 30 years. We lost our last dog, 10-year-old golden retriever Baxter, to bone cancer. We miss him! Most days we walked him in nearby open space. We'd be happy to have your dog join us now.

We offer both overnight boarding and daycare.

We are home most of the time (but not necessarily 24x7) and maintain a quiet household. We welcome dogs aged 2 yr and older. Unless you live out of town, to ensure a good fit, we require a meet & greet session before booking.

We normally host up to 2 dogs at a time. But if we appear to be full up, feel free to contact us and chances are we'll extend our availability to accommodate you.

Rover 101
WatchDogs Retreat, LLCWestminster, CO

My wife and I love animals and have had dogs, cats and horses all of our lives. My wife volunteered at our country vet's office for a while but, most importantly, we took in stray/unwanted dogs and cats, puppies and kittens for the small town in Missouri where we lived. We gave all of the animals vet care as needed, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, gave dogs basic training and re-homed all the animals with a 100% success rate.

We're back home in Colorado now so we no longer fill the Missouri town's stray animal needs but currently keep family and friends' dogs when asked and have cared for many others during our 4 year partnership with Rover.

We have a well-mannered, sweet-natured Sheltie, Dakota, and 2 cats. All of our critters have current vaccinations and all are happy to share their home with others.

All dogs must be house trained and spayed or neutered. All dogs must have current vaccines - Rabies, Bordetella (kennel cough) and DHLP (Distemper, Parvo and Influenza). We do not accept guard or fighting breeds. As most of our guest dogs are large, we can't accept small dogs (such as Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Dachshunds...), thus assuring little dog bodies are safe from big dog feet.

About my yard

We are on a 10 acre alfalfa and tree farm, surrounded by other large properties, at the end of a quiet lane. Your dog can have as much supervised freedom as you are comfortable with.

My experience administering medication

Certified Dog Trainer/Home FullTimeLafayette, CO

Dogs are my life! I am a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College, specializing in positive reinforcement training and before my move to Colorado, was a full time employee at a wonderful play'n'train daycare! I have experience with large packs (up to 30 dogs) as well as experience with single dogs and their personal issues. I rescued my dog Sasha three years ago and training her has been a joy! She was highly leash reactive and anxious after her rescue from an abusive owner and training her has given me so much experience, confidence and joy! I am always willing to work on behavioral issues your dog may be having during walks or during the day and would love a chance to help out other pet parents and their babies! I am currently living in Louisville with Sasha and my boyfriend and we love it here! I have a fully fenced back yard and my house is set up so new dogs coming over can integrate into our family seamlessly and safely. I have separate rooms gated off for my dog so your dog can warm up to us and her with no pressure of an on-leash meet and greet. I don't allow dogs in my bed (as Sasha is not allowed in the beds as part of her training) but for dogs that love to cuddle (as do me and Sasha) I have my living room set up with a futon for us to sleep and snuggle. If your dog had issues with other dogs THAT'S OK!! I am lucky to have the ability in my home to keep all dogs separate and hopefully, we can work on some of those insecurities your pup might have. Hope to see them soon!

Let's go...(Bork-bork, miao-miao!)Longmont, CO

I carry my own pet-sitting insurance, in addition to the Rover guarantee!

My experience caring for a wide range of dogs and a number of cats goes back at least a decade. We have boarded pups for friends and relatives for short and long periods (weeks to months), and we have a young Labrador of our own. (Kepler is my big goofy shadow!)

All pets deserve good play, exercise, and interaction -- that's why I'm on Rover, to provide happy experiences for your beloved furry ones while you're at work, on vacation, or otherwise out and about. I know when I leave my own dog, whether it's for a few hours or days, I fret about how he's doing, so for pets that I watch, I strive to provide the same love and attention that I'd want for Kepler from his caretakers .

For boarding, we have ample space for your dog & ours to play in the large, fenced-in backyard. Plus, we go for a walk at least twice a day around the neighborhood.

***NOTE***:

1] I may accept up to two well-behaved dogs from the same household for boarding.

2] House-sitting and boarding services are charged per 24-hour period. Any additional portion thereof may be charged an extra nominal fee or the full day rate. For house-sitting, we could discuss your needs for the booking re: staying overnight vs several visits over the course of a day. I'm also happy to water plants, take in the mail, and put out the trash/recycle/composting bin.

3] Due to allergies, I may only provide services to tobacco-free homes.

4] Additional fees may be applied for travel greater than five miles beyond my specified service area. (See map insert)
