“Nutmeg had a wonderful long weekend with Kim and Fred. She got to explore their backyard and went on walks in the neighborhood. I picked up a happy dog today!”

“Curtis was great, we had a prebook meet up with our dogs to make sure it was a fit, and M and M were very sweet to our little puppy. During the stay Curtis sent photos and little report cards each day and we knew Broer was loving being in a pack and adventuring about town! He had plenty of walks and I felt very comfortable he was in good hands, and a little worried he might not want to come home with us!”

“Alex was great! Very friendly and quick to reply. He was flexible with our travels, as well. Phife was excited to see him when we dropped him off, and seemed pretty worn after his stay - always good signs! We would definitely use him again.”

“Elise sent plenty of pictures and took excellent care of my dog. Would highly recommend her, and plan on using her rover services again in the future!”

“Our 10-year-old English setter stayed with Sarah for two whole weeks, and our boy came home healthy, happy and simply relieved to see us - no extra stress or issues from it at all, which can happen with sensitive dogs. We take this as testament to Sarah's care: he was playfully engaged, respectfully rested, kept on routine - the key things he needs to be comfortable when away from his family. We don't like to spend so much time away from home and our boy but feel much relieved knowing that he can stay under Sarah's excellent care.”

“My dog spent a wonderful weekend with Christine and her calm and sweet-natured pup. Christine did a wonderful job getting her exercised and reported with regular updates on how she was doing with pics included. When I picked my dog up on Sunday, she was happy, well fed and ready to come home. I'd recommend Christine to anyone for a caring and communicative dogsitter.”

“Meghan and Hakon are amazing and loved on our pups so much! It was Kinzie’s first stay away and they made her feel so at ease and comfortable in their home. Lincoln is a pro and had a blast. We got plenty of updates and photos and knew our dogs were in great hands. Lincoln and Kinzie look forward to their next stay!”

“Maria is such a joy to work with and an incredible dog sitter! She’s incredibly communicative and sent lots of photos. We had 100% confidence that our pup was in the best possible care!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover, and I treat every pet in my care with the same patience, warmth, and devotion I’ve always given my own. Over the years, I’ve volunteered with puppy rescues, completed dozens of sits for friends, family, and neighbors, and navigated every chapter of a dog’s life, from high-energy puppyhood to the golden senior years. That hands-on experience comes straight from the heart. I spent ten wonderful years with my rescue pup, turning a stubborn, untrained two-year-old into the gentlest giant. Having also lovingly cared for two senior dogs of my own through their final seasons, I have a soft spot for older pets. I am comfortable managing gentle routines, oral medications, mobility support, and extra TLC for pups who need a slower, tender pace. In our home, your pup gets a dedicated two-person care team. My husband also shares a lifelong love of animals, bringing great handling experience from his past background volunteering at animal shelters and working on a ranch with livestock. Together, we provide a calm, attentive environment tailored to your dog's unique personality—whether they need upbeat adventures, structured play, or quiet couch snuggles. Please note: To provide the safest, most attentive care, I only host one family at a time! My calendar is set to 1 dog to prevent mixing separate households, but we happily welcome 2+ sibling dogs from the same home. Because I work from home full-time, pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily life rather than being an afterthought. My flexible schedule lets me offer attentive supervision and adapt to your pup’s established routine. This setup is especially ideal for senior dogs who need frequent potty breaks, scheduled mid-day medications, gentle mobility assistance, or simply the comfort of having someone nearby throughout the day. Whether your dog thrives on quiet company while I work, cozy couch naps, or periodic stretch breaks on a walk, I mirror your home routine as closely as possible, keeping feeding times, nap spots, and light walks on track. Please note: To provide the safest, most dedicated care, I only host one family at a time! My calendar is set to 1 dog to prevent mixing separate households, but I happily welcome 2+ sibling dogs from the same home. Our home is designed to be a calm, clean, low-stress sanctuary where your pup can truly relax. Every detail is set up with safety, joint support, and accessible comfort in mind—largely shaped by the loving care I gave my late senior dog, Kenny. Accessible, Low-Impact Living: • Zero-Stair Access: Our building features an elevator, so aging hips and stiff joints never have to navigate stairs. •Senior-Friendly Furniture: Our furniture is intentionally low to the ground for easy on-and-off access, and dogs are always welcome on the couch! We also have a cozy, dedicated "dog chair" and an orthopedic, human-grade toddler mattress originally purchased to soothe Kenny's arthritis. •Spotless & Fresh Comfort: Your pup's health and hygiene come first. The mattress has protective covers that we sanitize and swap before every doggy arrives, along with fresh blankets. •Cozy & Stocked: While we have a secure patio rather than a yard, our home is filled with plush blankets, orthopedic lounging spots, engaging toys, and healthy treats. Routine & Outdoor Time: We provide multiple walks throughout the day—whether your dog prefers brisk exercise or slow, leisurely walks. Crating & Comfort: Because my late dog had a difficult past with confinement when I rescued, I never forced crating and prioritize open, free-roaming comfort. However, if your dog feels safe in their crate routine, we are happy to accommodate—we just ask that you bring their familiar crate. Above all, we offer a quiet, spotless "hotel" experience where your dog receives five-star comfort and around-the-clock love.
About: My husband and I have a cattle dog mix, Arley, who we rescued as a puppy. Before Arley came along, we had a sweet dog named Izzy who we loved and cared for right to the end. I understand the patience, consistency, and care that goes into raising and caring for a dog. I love dogs and enjoy getting to know each one’s unique personality and needs. I’m reliable, attentive, and will treat your dog with the same care and attention I give my own. I have also provided care for other dogs regularly over the past four years, giving me some valuable experience caring for dogs that are not my own. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me (and my husband). 🐾 ✨ New to Rover? Get $20 off with my code: https://www.rover.com/sit/lindae01033 I recently left full-time work to find something with more flexibility and balance. Pet care is a great fit for me right now, and I have plenty of availability to provide reliable, attentive care. I enjoy having the flexibility to spend time with pets and make sure they get the care and attention they need. I will provide safe, attentive, and loving care for every pet. For walks, I will focus on keeping dogs comfortable, secure, and engaged while giving them the exercise and attention they need. For dogs that we care for in our home, we have a large fenced in yard that is great for dogs. I will take the time to get to know each dog and follow their individual routines, needs, and preferences. I treat every pet with the same care and attention I give my own dog, and I believe clear communication with pet parents is an important part of building trust. Please note that scheduling a Meet & Greet prior to a first time booking is mandatory for me - I want to be sure that the booking is a good fit for both of us (and our pups).
“Emilie was great with my pup for an overnight stay! They went on walks and she sent lots of pictures. Emilie was also really flexible when my flight was delayed and I had to change my pick up time - I really appreciate her being able to make this last minute change and know that my dog was safe and sound! Thank you Emilie!”

“Ruby had another great stay with Barbara. She was recovering from a minor paw injury and Barbara let us up to date with her progress and was even able to get my pooch to wear a protective boot during their outings.”

“Wookiee was well cared for, thank you!! A little more communication throughout his stay would have been nice; otherwise, he came back very happy! I'd book with Elizabeth again.”

“My dog stayed with Susan and her family for 8 days over Thanksgiving. I cannot recommend Susan more! She and her husband and daughter obviously love animals and have 2 great dogs of their own. This was perfect for our dog as he loves to play and make friends. Susan's home is beautiful with lots of land to walk the dogs. She sent me frequent pictures and updates as well. I will definitely be booking Susan again the next time we need a place for our dog to stay!”

About: I have worked with old dogs, puppies, trained 2 puppies and some older dogs. I have also worked with a variety of animals like highland cows and reptiles! I have also have had my own dogs and currently have a cat! On weekends I am available pretty much all day! Usually the first Saturday of each month I have my quilt guild and ever other Sunday I nanny for 4 hours. Outside of that I shouldn’t have any other plans with enough advance notice! (I like to plan out my month a month prior) during the week I currently have an am job 3 days/week with some separation to hang out with the dogs in the middle of the day before heading to my pm job. I will watch your animals in your home to make sure that they are as comfortable as possible while you are out of town. I also like to spend the majority of a meet and greet interacting with your animals so that they get as comfortable as possible with me before you head out of town.
“Jessica was great with our dog Piper! Her dog got along great with her too. We got the perfect amount of cute picture updates, and I know Piper will be excited to stay with her again in the future!”

About: I have had 4 dogs since I was twelve years old, 2 German shepherds and two Yorkie/Pomeranians so familiar with different breeds. I have also lived with cats and love all animals! My partner and I are going to get a dog of our own soon but in the meantime I spend lots of time with our friends doggies! I am a PhD student & work from home so can accommodate flexible schedules, and stay home during the days with your pets. My schedule is very flexible and I can fit any dog into my daily or weekly routine. I work remotely and part-time so looking to hang out with more pet friends! I frequently check to ensure there is enough water and feed dogs according to their schedules. I let them out when they have to use the bathroom and walk them 1-2 times a day. But each pet is different so may need to adjust the schedule accordingly!

“Kelly took great care of our dog and stayed in close contact as the Marshall Fire started while we were out of town. It helped put our mind at ease that our dog was safe.”

About: I have over 15 years of dog caring experience, involving different breeds, ages, and personalities. My specialty is smaller doggies. My philosophy with care makes sure dogs get active time, park time, quality time, fun adventures, time with friends, and lots of affection. I make sure your doggy needs are met, being versatile with the activities we do while they stay at my place. As a mostly remote worker, I have a lot of flexibility and ample time to take your dog on walks and give them lots of care and attention, be it on the couch or outside. Doggies have access to water, clean bowls, toiletries, and all their basic needs. My entire place is dog-proofed, so hazard mitigation is present. Dogs have the opportunity of enjoying different surfaces based on their needs, including hardwood, carpet, rugs, and a comfy couch.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Valmont
Maggie was awesome taking care of our two fur babies for a multiple week stay. She sent us pictures and updates to let us know how they were doing. Our dogs seemed very comfortable and relaxed with her and getting the care and attention they need. We had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend her and book with her again.

This was a great experience. Thank you Emily for being so flexible with a last minute booking! Emily took our high-energy dog on a walk the same night after we dropped her off and the next morning so she would feel more comfortable. Nyla came back seeming like she did well. Thanks a lot!

Sean and Kim took wonderful care of my dog, Dakota, for two and a half weeks while my husband and I were out of town. Dakota has anxiety issues and they were very patient and caring with her, making her feel at home in their very dog-friendly house. Dakota enjoyed the company of their dog, Denver, and the other dogs who visited. She also loved being able to go on walks every day. Sean and Kim are very knowledgeable and experienced dog sitters. After the meet and greet I felt very confident that they would take great care of my girl and they certainly did. Dakota settled in after a few days and was very comfortable with them. I am very grateful to have found Sean and Kim and wish I had met them sooner. They are terrific!!

Julie took such good care of my 12 yr old dog, Buzz. I can’t say enough how much fun and how comfortable he looked during his stay. Alice was very sharing and cuddly with him. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Buzz had an exceptional stay and received all his medicines he takes as an older pup with some health issues.

We had never used Rover before and needed help last minute. Misty was available, affordable, and the absolute best choice for our dog Rosemary! She kept us updated several times a day and sent pictures of our very happy pup. Rosemary settled in easily and was extremely well cared for. We will 100% use Misty again in the future. Thank you, Misty, for loving Rosemary as much as we do!

Sophia was a great sitter for my 1-year-old puppy Maple for 10 days! Her dog and cat are friendly and adorable and Maple liked having four-legged friends to play with. Sophia sent pictures of Maple out at parks and playing and relaxing with her furry buddies almost every day. She was flexible and understanding when our return flight was delayed and we had to pick Maple up after 11pm. Maple came home tired and happy and clean and clearly well cared for.

Simone took such great care of my pup. And it was a super last minute request on my end. My dog is older and needs special medications and she administered everything with such care! She was super communicative, sent pictures, and gave him plenty of love and belly scratches. I would definitely recommend Simone as a trusted dog sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Valmont home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Valmont.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Valmont sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
