Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for dogs of all ages, personalities, and backgrounds. While I have experience with everything from playful puppies to gentle seniors, I intentionally specialize in small dogs because I love helping them feel safe, confident, and at home in a calm, comfortable environment. My goal is to provide personalized care where your pup is treated like one of the family while you’re away.

Maggie was so flexible with watching Teagan for an extra day after our flights were cancelled! And Teagan always comes back so happy from all the cuddles and play with friends.
Pups had a great time! Maggie was so easy to talk to and flexible with pickup/drop off times, I will definitely be using Maggie for all future pet sitting needs!
I think Maggie is officially part of our dog pack now- the girls come home happy, healthy, and relaxed. Leaving our dogs when we travel is so hard, but I am so grateful to know that they are well cared for and loved when we are away. It means the world.

Schedule
I work as the Practice Manager for a local medical clinic, and my schedule allows me to spend plenty of quality time with my boarding dogs. I have extended lunch breaks on Mondays and Thursdays and half days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so your pup won’t be left alone for extended periods. Because I do work outside the home, I ask that all dogs be comfortable being home alone for up to 6.5 hours at a time. When I’m away, I also keep an eye on everyone with an in-home pet camera, giving me peace of mind and allowing me to ensure they’re safe and comfortable until I return.

Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. My home features a fully fenced yard for supervised potty breaks and outdoor time. Because I intentionally board small dogs only, your pup can enjoy a calm, low-stress environment with companions their own size. Whenever I leave the house, each dog has their own safe, comfortable space separated by baby gates, helping everyone relax and ensuring a peaceful environment. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and are treated like family, so you can expect plenty of cuddles, love, and a cozy place to relax during their stay.
A typical day
A typical day at Small Dog Haven is relaxed, comfortable, and tailored to each dog’s personality. Whether your pup loves leisurely walks, sniffing every blade of grass, playing fetch, or simply soaking up the sunshine, I’ll make sure they have plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and affection. I live just off the Wonderland Creek Path and only a few blocks from a neighborhood park, making it easy to enjoy walks, fresh air, and outdoor time when appropriate. And, of course, there will always be plenty of cuddle time once we’re back home!

Please tell me about their personality, routine, favorite toys, sleeping habits, medications, or any little quirks that make them unique. I love getting to know each dog’s individual preferences so I can help them settle in quickly. Because I welcome a few small dogs at a time, my home is best suited for friendly, well-socialized dogs who are comfortable with my daily routine and spending short periods of time in their own space when I’m away. This helps ensure every pup receives plenty of individualized attention so they feel safe, loved, and right at home.
