Will spoil your dog while you relax
If I could, I would have ALL the dogs that need homes - and maybe one day I will, when I can finally move into a larger property with land. :) HOWEVER, until then, I'd love to get to know your sweet pup and promise that I will make them feel super loved and comfy in our home! I'm proud to say that I've never met a dog that didn't like me - I feel like sometimes they just know when they meet a true animal and dog lover (and a sucker!). I currently have two small mutts (Mae + Finn) who are extremely friendly and love playing with other dogs, big and small. I believe in treating pets (and all animals) with love and respect and as members of our family. We have a big, fenced in yard with a screened in porch, and my two 12-year old boys love dogs as well and will love playing with and/or snuggling with your dog if that's what makes them happy. I recently had to say goodbye to my dog of almost 18 years, so I also completely understand how sacred and complicated those final months/years can be, and would be honored to care for your senior dog as well. Frances is a dog-whisperer. Our dog has some anxiety issues and he was quite comfortable by the end of the first day with Frances, her two small doggies, and her entire family. She sent pictures of his progress (and videos of him wagging this tail non-stop). We stopped worrying by the end of the 1st day - we knew he was going to be just fine! We were ever so slightly worried that he wouldn't want to come home after all that love! We are so grateful to Frances and we sort of want to leave a mediocre review so we won't have trouble booking with her again - but that would be unfair! Everyone should have a sitter like Frances, and her entire family.

Schedule
I have flexible hours and sometimes work from home. I can plan my schedule and would only leave the house for 4-6 hours at a time. I am home in the morning, evenings and all weekends (unless my calendar is blocked).

Safety, trust & environment
We have lots of quiet walking streets and trails, and a dog park close by. We are home a lot with a consistent schedule and during warmer months, we frequently leave the porch door open so dogs can come and go into the backyard as they’d like. We allow dogs on our couches but am happy to stick to the rules if you’d prefer for you pup to stay off furniture.

A typical day
Twin Lakes dog park is about 3/4 of a mile from my home. I love to walk dogs to the park and let them run and then make the walk back to my house. There's also a nice trail close by that has a ton of space for dogs to run and is about a 45min walk round trip. In the evening, we usually take a spin around the block to take one last potty break.
