“Sarah and her family take such good care of our dog. She loves going there. We are grateful for such a welcoming place, a big yard to run and new friends to play with.”

“Brian was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Blu! He was extremely inviting with my last minute bookings and took awesome care of my pup. I could clearly tell that my dog loved being around him and the second day he spent with Brian he was not only excited when we pulled up but also visibly sad to leave him for the day. Would love to have Blu back with Brian soon! He also gave me some awesome tips for getting some of his extra energy out!”

“Curtis has been watching our puppy for almost two months now regularly and does a wonderful job with him. Our puppy is more reserved with people but loves Curtis. He has made the effort to really get to know our dog and provide him with the type of attention and care he needs. Through his patient and thoughtful care he has clearly gained our shy puppy’s affections, which is the ultimate endorsement!”

“Benny had an AMAZING time at Jessica's! Loved getting the video and pictures of him having the zoomies and playing in the pool. Jessica was easy to communicate with and 100% will be using her services again.”

About: Hey! I am a lifelong animal lover who for the first time in my life am without my own resident dog. I've always had a dog in the family, since i was 1 month old, and until now have never lived without one. I've had Labrador Retrievers, Dobermans, Collies, Pitbulls- so plenty of experience with strong personality and physically strong dogs. I've raised dogs from puppies to past 16 years old- I have experience with the energy of a puppy and the patience for the elderly. Whether it's long walks, hikes, belly rubs, or just keeping them company, I make sure every pet feels safe and happy. I work from home full time, which means I'm around and available for plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. I can easily adjust my breaks to fit your pet's routine. I am an early riser to likes to enjoy most of the daylight. After work hours I'm typically out of the house for no more than 3 hrs at a time. On weekends, i like to get outside as much as possible and would love to include your dog on my walks or hikes. While i do not have a yard, I have a large 2 car garage that can be used for play. My development has an onsite dog park that can be used if your dog is friendly and responsive in park settings. I have a spare dog crate and can crate the dog as needed when I am not home.
“Penny, our little Havanese girl is usually wary of being left anywhere. But Heather and her family were so attentive and calming that Penny soon relaxed and was rewarded with belly rubs and cuddles... and we have pictures to prove it :)”

“My pup stayed with Alison for the day. She was very loving to him and took him on a great hike. He loved her yard and her incredible friendly and patient dog!”

About: I've worked mostly with working dog breeds to see if they'd be a good fit as a service dog for disabled veterans or autistic children. I work from home and am available all day Monday through Saturday! Please reach out for specific needs and I would he happy to discuss! In a client's home I'd be sure to respect the environment as much as possible. Cleaning up after accidents and always having a leash for when I go outdoors with the clients animal. I'd ideally like to leave the area better than I found it.
“Charissa and her family were so good to our Chance. She sent cute pictures, lots of walks and the kids were wonderful with him also! Highly recommend Charissa and her family!!!! Great experience!?”

“Alexander was such a wonderful sitter! He was easy to work with, communicate with, and was beyond friendly. He clearly had a nice and clean home. His dog is such a cute sweetheart! She was kind enough to allow my pup come in and relax. He was knowledgeable and very responsible, ensuring a safe environment, for all his animals:) truly 100/10 of a sitter!!!”

“Irina did a wonderful job caring for our pup. We used the translation app so that we could communicate clearly. Her home is very clean and neat and there’s a nice area in the fenced back yard for pups to play.”

“Kristina was amazing! We had a half-day visit, before a bigger overnight visit, to allow a meet and greet with her and her pups. Very kind and welcoming for the whole thing, and such an ease to work with!”

“I would absolutely recommend Brenda, she did a fantastic job! To begin, Brenda arrived right on time. We talked about what I would like her to do with my dog for the day; she did everything, and more. She asked if she could do any training, and since my dog was young (6 mo.), I said definitely! She took some videos of the training; let's just say it went very well. Her calm and caring energy were a perfect fit for any dog. When I arrived home my dog was happy and calm.”
About: Caring for pets with different needs comes naturally to me. In addition to life with my own fur babies, I've been sitting for neighbors' pets since I was a kid, fostered dogs from local rescues, and been a Rover sitter to get my "dog fix" when I was between pups. I've helped raise litters of puppies from birth and volunteer with the boxer rescue, walking and spending time with dogs waiting for their forever homes. Between all of it, I understand routines, exercise needs, and the quiet reassurance anxious or senior dogs often need. Taking great care of every home I'm in means a lot to me too. I'm happy to retrieve mail, water plants, and take care of those odds and ends you need while you're away. I'm local to Louisville and work from home, so whether I'm coming to your place for drop-ins and sits or hosting your dog at mine, they'll get plenty of attention and rarely be left alone for long. At home, we have a fenced yard (about 5 feet) for outside time, and if your dog needs their crate, just send it along with them. My daughter is usually in school during the week, but if a visit falls outside school hours, she may tag along and give your dog some extra love. Dogs get plenty of attention whether we're at your home or mine. I keep a close watch outside so nobody gets into anything they shouldn't. If I'm out running errands during a stay at my place, your dog will be crated for their safety. Our home stays tidy, and we have a gate to close off certain areas when needed. Furniture time is case by case, just let me know if your dog is allowed on the couch. My husband and daughter are often around too, so your dog may get some extra love from them. We also have our own dog, Gabi. She's 2, medium energy, and loves to play, but does best with dogs who are good with her too. Meet & greet required before stays at my place..

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
