On weekends, I am home full-time, lots of time for playing, naps, and going out on adventures if that fits into your pet's lifestyle! In my home, your pet will stay in my spacious bedroom, where they can be crated or free-roam based on their needs. I live in a large house and there are no other animals. Your pet will remain safely in my room if I need to step out. I have a small front yard with a grass area for quick potty breaks, though it isn’t gated, so all outdoor time is always on-leash and closely supervised. My goal is to create a calm, comfortable space where your pet feels secure and cared for.

About: Hello! I’m a retired Special Education teacher. My passion is dogs and the care and training of dogs. When your furr baby is staying with me, she or he is my priority. I am patient, caring and truly want your furr baby to have a safe, engaging and fun time while in my care. I’d love to take your furr baby for walks and/ or give cuddles; as desired. I first became available on Rover in 2017, first working in California and now in Colorado. I work full-time at home and will give your sweet furr baby all the time, care and exercise he or she needs. I’m currently at home full-time. I have plenty of time for your furr baby Please schedule pickup & drop-off times between 7am - 9:30pm. Thank you. I have two dogs and two cats. One dog is a friendly, small-sized older dog. He is calm and will engage with your furr baby as much as they want. I also have a large breed female dog. She is sweet, curious and well-behaved. I have four available crates if you use crating. The cats have separate areas and mostly stay in their own room during dog boarding.

About: I've had dogs most of my adult life. There are periods that I've gone without, and I've always missed them. I recently rescued a 9-year-old. After two knee replacements, I'm trying to walk as much as possible and having dogs is a great motivator. I've never looked after special needs dogs, but if it's not difficult and fairly easy to do, I'd be game to try. The breeds I've owned in the past have been a Samoyed, a cockapoo, a labradoodle, and a golden doodle. I work from home, so have plenty of time to spend with your dog. Being a landlord, I've long periods of little to do, other than during the summer rental season, when I need to be out and about, doing repairs, showing rentals and checking tenants in and out. As they're my own rentals, I still have a lot of flexibility. I'd treat the dogs as if they were my own. I have a big fenced back yard & locked gate. Feel free to ask me any questions

About: Beginning as a volunteer and rescuer, I then moved into pet and house sitting. I continue to foster and volunteer with a local animal rescue and treasure my time with all kinds of animals. Using this experience, robust padding, and training, I will exercise dogs that need more than a walk to take them at their pace and level on trail runs on my roller skates. In my many years experience of doing this with several clients as well as rescue animals in my foster care, I have observed many benefits such as: ~improved obedience ~naturally filed nails ~increased happiness and smiles ~less scratching, digging, jumping, whining, barking, and other undesirable behavior ~better sleeping ~improved health and well being The majority of my time during the day is spent outdoors hiking, roller skating the bike paths, or in the garden, and I love to have the company of animals for all of it. At night, I cook, dance, and will read aloud to whoever is in the house. I find animals love this too. As a private chef, I have a lot of time outside of scheduled private events and parties. I can build catering quotes, shop online, and write menus from anywhere. This leaves plenty of time and attention for animals in my care. I like to be outdoors as much as possible and having a pet companion makes it all the more enjoyable for me. I live in a clean and cozy townhouse very near multiple parks and paths. I use harnesses and good judgment while on excursions. I am trained in pet care, proper hydration, nutrition, and herbalism for pets. I never raise my voice and use positive reinforcement and fun to enlist cooperation. Furthermore, animals that are food motivated or fun motivated LOVE me. I love to be outdoors and active but can also cuddle inside for the furry friends that prefer one or both. If your dog likes to run, good news! I like to go fast on the bike paths! Caring for your pet(s) is the highest honor and takes priority while in my care. Please let me know about special needs, but otherwise you can trust that my regular routine is to play, be outside, laugh, show kindness, and provide stellar caregiving.
