I’m currently a junior at CU Boulder, so I do have school during the week but only for about 2-3 hours each day, most of the time I’m home to care for a pup! I absolutely love being outside here in Boulder, it’s too beautiful not to be, so walks and adventures are plentiful!

I have a large house for your pup to roam around, but if it’s preferred that he stays in a crate during the day I can accommodate that too! My yard isn’t fenced, but we would have a lot of outside time at the park and on walks exploring all corners of Boulder. I do have experience dog sitting in client’s homes, I know that some dogs are probably more comfortable staying in their own home!

Information Amy B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any niche little quirks or behaviors that are important! One of my favorite parts of working with animals is getting to see the odd but charming things about them.
A typical day
I love to take a dog on fun adventures like a hike or a dip in the creek, and definitely just spend as much time as we can outside! Fetch in the park is always a go-to, and then I love to spend the end of the day hanging out on the porch on the front of my house while your pup and I enjoy all the smells going on!

Pet care experience
I’ve been in love with dogs since I can remember, and my favorite type of work/volunteering has always involved them. When I was 15 I started dog sitting for my family friend, I watched and walked little Johnny twice a week for almost 2 years while his mom was out doing errands. After that, I started volunteering at the LoveJoy Foundation, an animal rescue in California. I walked dogs, cleaned crates, and even helped with vaccinations once a week at adoption events! My time at LoveJoy was one of the most rewarding experiences ever, and it taught me how to work with different types of dogs and different behaviors, including neurodivergent and disabled pups. I have a family dog of my own, sweet Montana, who will always be my best friend no matter how far apart we are. Montana is a bit older now, so we mostly enjoy hanging out on the couch together, but in his prior years I loved taking him on hikes, to the dog beach, and really anywhere that I went. I also have a crested gecko named Axel!
Reviews
Amy is so amazing with all animals, especially dogs. She takes the time to get to know your dog and all of its quirks. My dog loves her! She understands that dogs are an extension of your family and that they each have their own personality. She is trustworthy and dependable. I trust her with my dog-which is saying a lot!
