Pet care experience

Animal Welfare Pro. Family Care.

Hi! I’m a compassionate animal welfare professional with years of experience supporting both animals and the people who love them. I currently work with Humane World for Animals and bring a strong background in nonprofit animal advocacy and welfare to everything I do. I’m also a long-term shelter volunteer and currently serve as an Adoption Guide with Denver Animal Shelter, where I help match animals with loving homes and support families through the adoption process. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with dogs and cats of all temperaments, energy levels, and behavioral backgrounds. This hands-on experience has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, enrichment, positive reinforcement, and how to help pets feel safe and secure. As a lifelong dog and cat owner myself, I deeply understand the trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I treat every animal as if they were my own—with attentiveness, patience, and plenty of affection. In addition to my animal welfare background, I’m a social worker and yoga therapist in training. I bring a calm, grounded, and observant presence to my work, which is especially helpful for shy, anxious, or sensitive animals. Clear communication, reliability, and individualized care are always my priorities. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, enrichment and play, medication support, or a cozy companion while you’re away, I’m here to provide professional, compassionate care. I look forward to meeting you and your pet!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in their home, I prioritize safety, routine, and trust above all else. I understand that I’m entering not only a pet’s space, but a family’s home, and I treat both with respect and professionalism. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, medication needs, enrichment routines, and household guidelines. I double-check doors, gates, and leashes to ensure pets are always secure, and I’m mindful about preventing escapes or unsafe situations. I also pay close attention to subtle changes in behavior, appetite, or litter box habits and communicate proactively if anything seems out of the ordinary. Because of my professional work I’m comfortable supporting pets with a range of temperaments, including shy, anxious, or recently adopted animals. I use positive reinforcement, patience, and calm energy to help pets feel safe and secure. I believe trust is built through consistency, clear communication, and follow-through. You can expect regular updates, photos, and honest communication throughout your time away. My goal is for you to return to a happy, relaxed pet and a home cared for just as thoughtfully as your animal companion.

Thrilled to have found Jordan. He has a very calm and confident presence. He cared for our motley trio with ease and gave us total peace of mind while we were away.

I debated about leaving this review because I honestly wanted to keep Jordan to myself buuuuuut..... that would be unfair to Jordan so, here it is. Our girl Nova is a pit bull, and if you have one, you know. She's strong, she's energetic, and she does NOT warm up to just anyone. We had booked Jordan for a two-week house sit and he came by for a meet and greet beforehand. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous — Nova can be picky. But she took to him right away. Like, immediately. My husband and I both looked at each other like, okay, this is our guy. Then life happened. We had a family emergency and had to cancel on Jordan last minute. He was so understanding about it, no awkwardness, no attitude, just kindness. That really stuck with me. And THEN — still in the middle of everything — Nova ended up alone at home longer than we'd planned. I reached out to Jordan basically in a panic and he showed up for her without hesitation. Knowing she was in good hands while we were dealing with so much was genuinely such a relief. We travel a lot and finding someone I actually trust with Nova is hard. Jordan is our first call from here on out. If you have a big, strong, stubborn dog and need someone who gets it — he's your person.
