“We have been working with Riley for quite a while now, and she continues to consistently deliver the best care for our pupper. She is an excellent communicator, great with our dog, and is always accommodating/flexible. We wouldn’t trust our pup with anyone else more! ☺️”

“I got suddenly hospitalized in Denver and Cole came to our rescue. He was prompt in communicating, showed up right on time and very helpful with my high energy lab. Thank you Cole!”

About: I’ve taken care of many animals from dogs and cats to chinchillas and lizards. I love taking care of all creatures (even the ones others don’t). Currently I have my own dog, a chinchilla, a chameleon, bearded dragons, and a snake. I have daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for all of them. I have an older pup (she is 21). She gets along with other dogs and likes to play. I also occasionally watch my parent’s dog who is 5. I can separate animals if needed as well. I have a garage, yard, and multiple floors
About: For most of my life, I have been a dog mom, and I understand how crucial it is to know that your dogs are well cared for while you're gone. I'm here to assist you. After retiring from my corporate job, I've decided to follow my passion for animals. I have spent over a decade caring for the dogs of friends and neighbors. I am certified in animal massage and have been a volunteer at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley since 2016. I can't wait to meet you and enjoy some wonderful time with your four-legged companion! I have availability during the week and weekend to engage with your dog. This can be walks or a hike during the day, a playdate with my dogs, a basic training session, or just 1:1 cuddle time hanging out on the sofa watching our favorite show. The safety and well-being of your dog is top priority! We will find what works best for you and your dog. It can be a walk, engagement, basic training, canine massage, a play date, snuggle time...whatever meets your dogs needs that day.
“Tara was so awesome and caring!! she really made sure me and my pup felt safe and comfortable. She treated my pup with sooo much love ❤️ I’ll absolutely be requesting her again”

About: Taking care of and training my dogs has been a vital part of my growing up and there is nothing more fulfilling than gaining the love from animals I am a college student home for the summer and have nothing but time to take care of other’s furry loved ones, my availability is open to the needs of the animals I have had dogs my whole life which has made me very aware of what is safe and not safe for dogs, I am also very good at following the directions from the owners of animals as they know what is best for their pets and what is normal and not normal. Many animals also have routines they follow and I believe following those routines helps keep a normalcy for when they are out of their normal.
“Sebastian was fantastic with my boy!! Sanders absolutely loves him, and comes home from every walk happy and tired. I had never had to use a dog walker before but Sebastian made me feel completely comfortable and confident he was in good hands. Sanders and I will happily request his help for future walks anytime!”

About: I’ve had dogs for 15 years, and loved, trained, and raised them from puppy age until the very end. I’ve taken care of friends and family dogs for seven years. I have experience in senior dog care and know how important it is to go at their pace, on their time. I’ll only take on full-day or overnight pets on my days off, which means they will get my undivided attention. Plenty of bathroom breaks, walks, and love. Dogs are allowed on the furniture in my apartment, so just let me know if those aren’t your rules. I live in an apartment with a balcony. There’s plenty of open space in the surrounding area and we’ll go on lots of adventures, as long as it suits your pup! I will always keep your dog on a leash unless you tell me otherwise.
“Nicole once again was amazing! She came to do dog walking for our two wild pups and she was amazing. She was able to take the walk on somewhat short notice. She sent photos and updates and we never worried a single second about our babies! We would highly recommend Nicole! She loves your animals like her own.”

About: I've had my own dog for three years, and the best feeling in the world is leaving for a trip knowing she's completely taken care of. That's exactly the experience I want to give you and your pup, I treat every dog I watch like my own. I have experience with reactive dogs and understand that every dog has their own personality, quirks, and needs. I'll take the time to learn what makes yours comfortable and happy, so you can actually relax while you're away. I work full time so my schedule is great for post-work walks and weekend care. Walking is a part of my daily life and I would love to bring your pet along. I aim to keep things as normal and comfy as possible for pets. I follow their usual routine for walks, meals, and playtime, and give them plenty of love and attention so they feel happy while you’re away. I also make sure your home is treated with respect so you come back to a relaxed pet and a tidy space.
“Our high energy pup had a great walk with Tannen! We appreciated how Tannen was patient with Dexter and used positive reinforcement on his training walk. Dexter is excited to walk with Tannen again soon!”

About: Through highschool and college I worked as a veterinary technician and long believed I'd pursue veterinary medicine. I went the social science route instead but will always love animals. Sadly, our family dog of five years young passed recently from an aggressive brain tumor and I'm wanting to have the contact with furbabies while not being ready to have my own again quite yet. I'm very comfortable with many breeds, administering medicine, etc. I work full time but most weeks I'm WFH 4/5 days of the week. Our five year young furbaby Goldendoodle recently passed from a sudden and aggressive brain tumor so I'm hoping to fill that void. Whether it's taking your pup for a walk while I'm on a work call or checking in on your feline friend, my schedule allows for flexible care! I do also have two tiny hoomans at home so I'll have a conversation with you to best understand your schedule needs and if I'll be the best fit to support that between my immediate family needs and for your fury family members care. I feel confident in re crating pups in your home if needed post walks. I also know to respect and give kitties space if not comfortable with new folks and can easily sit in the space for a while to give them a chance to acclimate to me. If you have commands for dog walks I will utilize them to positively reinforce your hard work in training for a good walker.
“Melanie was so warm and kind with June Bug. He has a hard time meeting new people and she always welcomed him with so much patience and warmth! Bug will definitely be going on more walks with her if she so pleases!!:)”

“Kelly is amazing! I had been looking for a long-term relationship to help with my dog since it’s just me, her, and a townhouse with no dog door. I was going out in the evening for a while and wanted to be able to stay longer, so it promoted me to reach out to Kelly. She came over for a meet and greet 1 hour after we chatted and we scheduled a walk for that evening. I feel totally safe and trust Kelly because she’s extremely professional and empathizes with me. I gave her the combo to my door and feel totally comfortable! She’s a clear dog lover and I’m so glad to found her for my dog. And me :)”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
