About: I’ve been privileged to have dogs be apart of my entire life. From having them as pets, caring for others, and volunteering for multiple shelters over the years, dogs have been a priority for me. I have deep respect for routines and instructions, can work with new born to seniors (who are just babies really), and will give them the love and attention they deserve. I am currently working on aspects of my education and have a lot of time to dedicate to pet care. I have minimal travel this Summer, so would be interested on a one time walk to a long term sit, and everything in between. I have reliable transportation and I’m allergic to being late. Communication and following instructions is top priority for me, so you will never wonder how your wonderful companion is doing. When caring for pets in your home my priorities include respecting your property, your instructions, and your animals needs. Schedules are followed to a T and communication including updates and pictures if wanted!
“Melissa was so kind, understanding and reliable. She helped me with a pick up drop off and really made my vacation possible by helping me ensure my baby was safe and sound! I couldn’t recommend her more. So glad to have found her!”

“Lila was so great with my kitties! She kept me updated and sent pictures each visit. They both seemed very content when I got home. I would definitely book her again!”

About: I have over 10 years of personal experience caring for my own cat, which has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding animals’ individual personalities. In addition to feline care, I’ve also looked after guinea pigs during spring break, ensuring they had a clean habitat, fresh veggies, and plenty of gentle attention. I’ve cared for dogs belonging to family friends, helping with feeding, walks, and playtime, always making sure they felt safe and loved while their owners were away. I’ve also had the opportunity to watch over a variety of pets for a few hours at a time, adapting quickly to their needs and routines. No matter the species, I approach every pet with kindness, respect, and a genuine love for animals. I’m currently enrolled in online college courses, which gives me the flexibility to create a balanced and adaptable schedule. Since my classes are self-paced and remote, I’m available for pet care throughout the week—mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Typical Daily Routine: • Morning (8am–11am): Morning walks, feedings, litter box cleanings, or drop-in visits • Midday (11am–3pm): Pet sitting, extended playtime, companionship, or check-ins (can adjust as needed) • Afternoon/Evening (3pm–8pm): Walks, dinner feeding, medication (if needed), or overnight care setups • Night (8pm onward): Available for overnight care, evening check-ins, or late-night drop-ins (on request) Weekly Flexibility: I’m available 7 days a week and can adjust my schedule based on your pet’s needs—whether it’s a one-time drop-in, recurring walks, weekend sitting, or extended stays. My online classes allow me to stay local and dependable all summer long. Your pet’s comfort, routine, and safety always come first. I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care that fits smoothly into both of our routines. Why You Can Trust Me with Your Pet As a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of experience caring for my own cat, as well as looking after dogs, guinea pigs, and a variety of other pets, I understand how important it is to feel confident in the person caring for your furry family member. Whether I’m welcoming pets into my home or caring for them in yours, I make safety, comfort, and reliability my top priorities. In Your Home: When I pet sit in your home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible. I keep things tidy, stick to feeding and walk schedules, and ensure your pet feels secure in their familiar environment. I also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. Dog Walking: For dog walks, I always use secure leashes and harnesses and choose safe walking routes based on your dog’s size, energy level, and comfort. I take the time to build trust with each dog, making sure every walk is not just good exercise but also a positive experience. However, I own a cat who doesn’t like strangers or strange animal that come in her home With a flexible schedule and a genuine love for animals, I’m committed to giving your pet the same care and attention I’d give my own. You can trust that they’ll be safe, happy, and well cared for—whether it’s for an afternoon walk or a week-long stay.
About: I always loved dogs, but growing up my parents would never let us get any. This led to me dog sitting and walking numerous neighborhood dogs from around 12 years old. Through the years, I've gotten a few dogs of my own and they are a handful, but I can't imagine life without them. The most recent addition, Toast the husky, has been a great lesson in the importance of consistent exercise and patient training, and this has carried through positively into our other dogs as well. I've also handled housetraining for multiple dogs now. Every day we do some sort of exercise with at least the husky. The other 2 are a little older so they don't go every single time, but the husky requires daily exercise, either to the park (which we go to regularly as it is less than 5 minutes away) or on a nice walk or hike. The happiest my dogs ever seem is when they are out on adventures with us, so I try to make that happen as much as possible. I have a 6ft high fenced-in yard. My wife and I work from home so we are always present and can let the dogs out regularly, on any schedule required. Our 3 dogs are very social with dogs outside, do great with other dogs in the house, and have been housetrained since they were puppies.
“Charissa gave each of my pups the personalized attention they needed. She kept my high energy pup happy with some fetch and coaxed my shy little one out of her shell for some fresh air, sniff-abouts and TLC. Thank you Charissa!”

About: I recognize that a shy dog may have different needs than an active young working pup. By reviewing your buddies profile and asking clarifying questions, I come up with a care plan tailored to your specific dog to ensure that they feel happy and secure during their stay. I work from our home, allowing me to provide consistent and quality supervision and care throughout the day. I'm fortunate to live in a quiet residential neighborhood (there is some truck & bus noise on weekday mornings), which can help your buddy settle in quickly, reducing any stress and separation anxiety that they may experience. Every dog always has its quirks and unique challenges and I'm always learning and seeking out new information on pet behavior and health to ensure that I provide the most informed and highest standard of care that I can. Being a foster parent and volunteer at Boulder Humane helps me do this by giving me experiences with all types of rescues. Here, I pick up training and care tips from professionals working at the shelter and implement the tips as I house dogs who await adoption. Your buddy will get consistent, calm company, not just quick check ins. I only dog sit one dog at a time so your pup will be the only dog in the home during their stay. I take lots of breaks to go for fun walks, often heading out to the beautiful Coal Creek Trail or Waneka Lake Trail. This predictable routine and engaging outdoor time is great for keeping your buddy happy, active, and relaxed, making sure they don't stress about being away from you. In my home, your dog gets a cozy vacation built around fun and safety. They'll get to enjoy three or more walks every day, with one walk being a long walk. For peace of mind, they're always on a leash when we're out and about. I take a calm approach to leadership by first ensuring that I'm calm before helping your buddy work through their challenges whether they be during our walk or during transitional periods in the day. I stick closely to your feeding and bedtime schedules, consistency is key especially when your pup is away from home! Playtime is all about what they love, whether it's a puzzle or a burst of fetch. Plus, if they want to sunbathe on the patio, they can certainly do so!
“Delane took great care of Chewy! We sent through a super last minute request for Christmas week and she was very gracious and communicative throughout the whole process 🙌”

“Sara did amazing with my cat! She did drop in visits to administer oral and topical medication and had no problems. I also got an update picture from her every day and she communicated amazingly! I would definitely book again :)”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats all my life with my family, and happily care for them still. I’ve even volunteered at the Boulder Humane Society to provide extra care to those who need it most in my community. I’m a recent graduate on summer break with another job where my availability varies. I start up school in the fall and will have weekends and some time after classes to care for your pets! I’ve always had dogs on the bigger side and am not scared to crate a dog if needed. I am capable of handling all sizes of dogs and cats and always aim to provide a safe and comfortable environment for them!
“Mac is awesome, took the time to do a meet and great to get familiar with us and our pup. Even dealt with our tons of questions. Communicates exactly what went on with videos of our pup! Definitely will be a repeat customer!”

“Zoe & Ava were great with our cat Boba! They sent excellent updates each day with lots of photos. There was some inclement weather the first day of our trip and they even said they could check in on Boba if weather things got bad which was a weight off our minds. Would definitely book again!”

“I was so pleased with Adelaide as a sitter for my older cat. Adelaide was prompt, kind, considerate, thoughtful, and reliable. I felt very reassured that my pet was in amazing hands while I was away. I will definitely request Adelaide for future services!”

“took great care of the fur babies on the drop on. Even gave resident dog some medical eyedrops. Stayed an extra hour to spend some extra quality time with the dogs and cat. Will rebook.”

About: We’re a family of four who loves caring for dogs. We have 2.5 acres, a fenced in yard, and give lots of TLC. Walks around the neighborhood and on trails too. My husband and I work from home and love going on walks. When the kids are home from school they dote on the animals a lot too. In the house, your dog is welcome to go where they please & feel most comfortable…which is often right by us. Feel free to bring their own dog bed or any blankets that remind them of home. We board no more than 2 dogs at once, and often it’s just one. The house is still a home. And your best buddy welcome anytime!
Lafayette dog parents share their Rover experiences
Curtis is amazing, he communicates well and as often as the situation may demand. H e figures out what to do without bothering , but keeps you informed as to what is going on. Curtis cleaned up our pups's vomit the other night, and told me where it occurred so I could give the floor extra attention. Our pup is currently under the care of our vet. Cutis performed some pre-approved grooming on Winnie. Curtis is always up-beat and pleased to help.

Danielle was great with Rumi! She was very responsive and spent quality time during our meet and greet, which I really appreciated. Rumi is a senior dog, and Danielle was very caring and attentive to his needs. She was also flexible with timing, which made everything easy. I felt very comfortable having her care for Rumi and would absolutely book with her again.

Mia was fantastic with our pets! We have two dogs and a cat, so our house can be pretty chaotic. Mia took all of our eccentric, particular instructions in stride and did great. One of our pups in particular can be pretty difficult, and Mia was so great with him that he didn’t even bark at her—not many new folks can win him over like this! I highly recommend Mia for your pet care!

Hanna did an amazing job checking in on my dog and cat with my last minute check-in request. Followed my instructions to a T and left the house in great shape. They also went above and beyond, taking care of our foster dog esp. with some complicated health stuff/instructions. Great communication. Will rebook again in the future.

Donovan was wonderful!! He was super flexible with our schedule and really really nice and understanding when we accidentally booked the wrong weekend and had to change things last minute on him! Our dog has special needs and he was more than willing to accommodate for her! Thank you again! :)
