“Claire did an outstanding job taking care of Mochi for two days in a row. She was incredibly professional, responsible, and attentive throughout the entire time. She kept me updated regularly, followed all instructions carefully, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Mochi and made sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I would absolutely trust Claire with Mochi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Elisha was so great with our little Luna 😍 Luna can be really shy but Elisha took her time in making Luna feel comfortable and safe with her. I’ll definitely be rebooking again!”

“Daniela was great. She came by and did a drop in and then we had her back for an overnight stay with our animals. All of the pets loved her. She was a great communicator and sent several pictures which we loved getting. She left the house spotless. We will book with her again. Thank you Daniela”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for animals. Currently, I have two dogs and a cat, so I’m very comfortable with a wide range of pet personalities and needs. I’m experienced with feeding routines, playtime, basic care, and reading animal behavior. I’m happy to go on walks, take dogs to the park for exercise and socialization, and make sure they get plenty of attention and care while you’re away. I’m also open to caring for other types of animals and can provide those services at my cat care rate. My daily routine revolves around being a stay-at-home mom to my two children and our animals. Most of my days are spent at home playing with my daughter while my son is at preschool, which gives me plenty of flexibility and availability to care for other pets. I’m looking to fill that time doing something I love—taking care of animals—while earning a little extra fun money on the side. I treat every home and pet like they’re my own. I stick to your pet’s usual routine as much as possible, so they feel safe and stress-free, and I make sure they get lots of love, attention, and playtime. I’m very respectful of your space and keep everything clean and in order. I also love sending updates and pictures, so you know your pet is happy and well cared for!

About: I’ve been taking care of other people’s pets since I was 15, and working on Rover for about a year and a half. I know how important our fur families are and would love to be there to support your dog(s) and/or cat(s) while you are away. I have experience with multiple breeds of dogs, such as Pit Bulls, Greyhounds, German Shepherds, Shih Tzus, Beagles, Golden-Doodles, Schnauzers, Chihuahuas and all sorts of mixed-breeds. All ages welcome, as I have experience working with dogs from ~3 months to 16 years old. Additionally, I have experience working with dogs and cats with disabilities and special needs, such as blindness, deafness, heart murmurs, joint issues, hip dysplasia, and thyroid conditions. I’m experienced in providing oral medication, eye drops, and vitamins/supplements. I am highly attuned to the ways pets express their feelings of joy, love, and fear. I use this knowledge to support my care for them and am responsive to the ways they communicate their comfort levels. My main goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your pets to thrive while you are away. I care for the animals I sit for as if they were mine! I know the pet parent’s experience is just as important and send pictures, videos, and detailed updates daily to ensure they know their families are getting amazing care while they’re away. I work from home and can easily transition my workstation to any place necessary. Most of my plans I have are flexible and local. I love going on walks and spending time at home reading/crafting. I update my calendar regularly on Rover to ensure it’s correct for ease of use. I am happy to provide care in client’s homes and keep it clean as if it were my own place. The families I work with often comment I left their homes cleaner than when they left. I’m happy to help water plants, grab mail, take out the trash, bring in packages, and anything else that helps take care of your home while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule and can easily keep your fur babies on their feeding, walking, and bathroom schedules.

“Nicole helped keep my new border collie company for a couple drop in visits while I was away long hours at work. She was communicative and responsive and I know Logan loved it! Thanks Nicole!”

“Rachael was amazing with our Leo and he was extremely happy when we returned. She was very responsive and sent us the cutest photos. We would absolutely love to book with her again!”

“Adelaide was incredible! She kindly did a meet-and-greet before her scheduled duties so she could meet our kitties and we could show her what we needed. Her communication was excellent and even kept her cool when a hiccup arose and collaborated with us to solve the issue. She also sent adorable photos!”

About: I’m a special education teacher looking to spend my summer caring for animals! I’ve grown up around pets and have experience pet sitting and dog walking for friends, family, and neighbors since college. I currently have a 5-year-old black lab who is very high energy, so I’m very comfortable with active dogs that need lots of exercise, outdoor time, and play. We spend a lot of time outside hiking, walking, and playing fetch, and I truly enjoy being active with her. I also have a cat, so I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats of different personalities and energy levels. I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and will treat your pets like my own. I will have a very open and flexible schedule during the summer, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
