“Shauna was amazing! She stopped by to meet my pups beforehand and they were acting like a crazy duo. However, it was ALL out of love. They know good people, and Shauna was it. She took such amazing care of my sweet pups. I would highly recommend Shauna and would 100000% request her again in the future. Thanks again, Shauna!”

“Jessica took great care of our two cats. One is usually very shy, but came out and visited with her while she was caring for them—which is pretty rare! We will definitely use her services again! Thanks, Jessica!”

“Adriana was absolutely amazing. She was my first experience using Rover, needless to say I was worried to leave my babies. Adriana was very communicative and sent pictures at every visit. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience and will definitely be rebooking with her. Thank you!”

“Great choice with Nicole! She took care of my 2 cats for 3 days while I was out of state. She sent me photos and gave me updates. We will definitely re-book her again!”

“Andrea was amazing! We needed a sitter last minute for the holidays and so happy we were able to book her. We came home to two very happy dogs. Andrea sent very thorough updates from each visit with lots of photos. Will definitely book her again for our next trip!”

About: I have been watching after animals since I was at a really young age and have learned so much. I have watched all ages and all different breeds that have taught me that every dog is different and has different needs. I’ve trained all of my pups myself and have experienced taking care of senior animals as well! I’m currently working full time but I make my own schedule so I am very flexible on what days I work and match that with when I can be available to watch your fur babies. I am free almost every weekend. I will care for every single pet as I do my own and make sure that get everything they need. I will give them all the loving while your away!
“This was our third time with Jenny! She always does the absolute best job. She continually does more than she needs to, which gives us the best feeling whenever we are away. Detailed reports, great pics, very responsive, and always makes excellent judgment calls. She takes care of our home and kitties better than I could have imagined. She is very gifted with pets, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with our home or fur babies.”

“Emily went ABOVE & BEYOND to make our older dog comfortable, happy, well-fed, and taken care of while we were on a vacation. She was always on time, followed all requests to a dot, and updated us every day on how everything is going. Emily has a fantastic can-do attitude, is super cheerful, and just so easy to work with. We will absolutely re-book her in the near future. Please do not hesitate to use her as your next pet house sitter. A+++”

“Cole did fantastic with my less than friendly to strangers kitties. He went out of the way to make them feel comfortable with his presence and he did absolutely everything I requested!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
