“Cody did his best with my shy guy and I appreciate him! Pluto is scared of his own shadow and doesn't like meeting new people but surely he appreciates Cody's efforts and wouldn't mind seeing him around again!”

“I appreciated Zach stepping in when we needed last minute trip coverage. He asked great questions and gave great communication on the daily for our fur babies. Thank you, Zach! I appreciate you”

“Fiona was a huge help when I had a last minute emergency I had come up that I needed to travel for. She was so understanding and flexible with the unknowns of my travel and how long I’d be gone for. I loved the updates she sent everyday and felt comfortable knowing my cats were in good hands.”

“Marianne was wonderful with our Cat Raven while we were away. She dropped in once a day and gave him lots of love and sent a bunch of pics for us. Very easy to communicate with and very reliable. We will definitely rey on Marianne in the future!”

“Our dog seemed happy when we got home. House was exactly how we left it. Our door lock was messing up and Gayle immediately contacted us and we were able to work it out. Happy to have someone nearby. Would book her again.”
“Our kitty has always been shy of people; however, after only two days our Ruthie girl let Bridgett per her and was purring for her! Bridgett must have a way with cats and I would recommend her to anyone!”

“Zoe did an excellent job taking care of our three (!) cats while we were out of town for a few days. We returned home to happy kitties and a clean kitty area. Zoe was extremely communicative and kept us posted with pictures and feedback of her time spent with our guys. I highly recommend Zoe and am already planning to book her for another upcoming trip.”

“Matthew was incredibly attentive to all of our critters needs and even took our pup for a little extra long walk. He is very pleasant and communicative which was so helpful for our last minute booking. I would recommend him without hesitation!”

“Janelle does an amazing job. She even schedules to meet up before hand to go over everything and meet your pets. She asked some good questions about their care, some I didn’t even think about. She sends lots of pictures and leaves great updates. 2 of my 3 cats can be skittish around strangers and they were so comfortable with her that they came out to play and cuddle. I would absolutely hire her again and recommend her to others. Your pets are in great hands!”

“I have a very busy on-call schedule working to respond to national disasters and provide service for first responders with AT&T. Katrina has been amazing, and was willing to work with me through some of the hardest moments so I knew my pets were in good hands while I was away.”

“Kevin fed and played with my two dogs while I was out of town for the weekend. Each time, Kevin said my introvert dog warmed up a little quicker, which is comforting that they’re getting some love and attention. They were happy when we got back home, but content with the visits they’d been receiving from Kevin. Thanks!”

“Elaine is amazing. My dog absolutely loved her. She has a very calm presence and wasn't phased by his high energy and was able to firmly and gently correct him as he is still learning (Doodles are special like that). She is an excellent communicator and very reliable.”

“Claire has the calmest and most gentle demeanor and Chloe instantly took to her. She was very easy to communicate with and we are already planning to use her again this week!”

“Olivia is such a wonderful woman. She is very sweet, responsive and reliable. She had great instinct when faced with an unexpected situation where a loose dog ran up to mine, who doesn’t react well to other dogs. She immediately contacted me to let me know. Thanks to her quick action, my pup was unharmed. I would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Throughout my time away, Maria was highly responsive. She provided regular, detailed updates and photographs daily and addressed all communications promptly. This consistent level of communication ensured I felt connected and informed regarding my dog's well-being. Furthermore, her commitment to caring for my pup was evident. She treated him with genuine affection and respect, ensuring he received adequate playtime, attention, and exercise. I returned home to a perfectly content and healthy dog. Maria is reliable, trustworthy, and possesses exceptional judgment. I highly recommend her services without reservation and look forward to utilizing her for all future needs.”

“Robin was so incredible and reliable, very easy to work with, and in Robin’s care, I had zero concerns about our cat while we were away. For as long as she is available, we will definitely use her services every time we plan future trips. As a new family to Longmont, it’s tough developing a whole support network from scratch, and finding people like Robin to help out and care for pets while we are away really offers a huge amount of freedom that we haven’t yet had since moving. Thank you so much :)”

“Very professional and great deteailed report. One of my cat, which I thought was going to be shy, came out to really like her. The other one came out to me very shy, but its all due to her PTSD. Over all, extremely please with the service. Thank you”

About: I’ve been taking care of other people’s pets since I was 15, and working on Rover for about a year and a half. I know how important our fur families are and would love to be there to support your dog(s) and/or cat(s) while you are away. I have experience with multiple breeds of dogs, such as Pit Bulls, Greyhounds, German Shepherds, Shih Tzus, Beagles, Golden-Doodles, Schnauzers, Chihuahuas and all sorts of mixed-breeds. All ages welcome, as I have experience working with dogs from ~3 months to 16 years old. Additionally, I have experience working with dogs and cats with disabilities and special needs, such as blindness, deafness, heart murmurs, joint issues, hip dysplasia, and thyroid conditions. I’m experienced in providing oral medication, eye drops, and vitamins/supplements. I am highly attuned to the ways pets express their feelings of joy, love, and fear. I use this knowledge to support my care for them and am responsive to the ways they communicate their comfort levels. My main goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your pets to thrive while you are away. I care for the animals I sit for as if they were mine! I know the pet parent’s experience is just as important and send pictures, videos, and detailed updates daily to ensure they know their families are getting amazing care while they’re away. I work from home and can easily transition my workstation to any place necessary. Most of my plans I have are flexible and local. I love going on walks and spending time at home reading/crafting. I update my calendar regularly on Rover to ensure it’s correct for ease of use. I am happy to provide care in client’s homes and keep it clean as if it were my own place. The families I work with often comment I left their homes cleaner than when they left. I’m happy to help water plants, grab mail, take out the trash, bring in packages, and anything else that helps take care of your home while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule and can easily keep your fur babies on their feeding, walking, and bathroom schedules.

About: I grew up taking care of a variety of animals, including dogs and cats, and have recently raised a pup from 8 weeks to now nearly 4 years old! I've also lived with another dog for nearly 8 years who is now a senior and requires slightly different care. I understand that each pet can have unique traits and may need unique care, and I'm ready to give yours the care that they need and deserve! I'm currently working remote and attending school online part-time. This gives me a lot of freedom to cater to the needs of you and your pets, with availability any day of the week. My dog is very rambunctious and needs a lot of play, so I take her out to the fenced in backyard to play fetch multiple times and day and walk her to a nearby park if she's even more restless. There are plenty of dog beds spread throughout the house for napping and comfort, though she also has access to furniture to lay on too
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Longmont is $20

Terra saved the day! She was available for last minute drop in when a delayed flight meant my senior pup would be home alone for a stretch of time. Her connection with animals is clear and her soft spot for seniors means my boy is at ease and treasured in her care - such peace of mind!

I plan to hire Katrina again!! She sent me messages and pictures that showed my cat Max was getting special attention with play time and petting. And I felt confident in Katrina's skill and understanding of the procedure for giving Max his insulin injections which allowed me to set aside my worries while I was on vacation.
Robin has been wonderful! We will request her services in the future for sure. Accommodating, attentive and let us know how our 2 kitties were doing and sent many pics! I feel like I have found our gal for anytime in the future! Thanks again! Audrey and Steve Burt
Sarah is amazing with our boys!! They gather around her and stay by her side during every visit and her photos are amazing. She cleaned up little cat messes even though we said not to worry about it and noticed the neighbors putting out the trash so asked if we needed the same. She is attentive, kind, and the best sitter we’ve ever had. The cats were so happy when we got home!! Thank you, Sarah!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
