“We are so grateful to have found Shauna to help us with our puppy. She offered to come meet him before her visits and he loved her! She is very thorough and communicates well, it is a huge help to know our pup is taken care of while I'm at work. Would absolutely recommend her!”

“Jessica was wonderful with our two elderly dogs! We were a bit concerned about leaving them for the weekend because they do have accidents due to age and one of our dogs has difficulty navigating our house. Jessica came over for a meet and greet before watching our boys, she was so kind and you can tell she truly loves dogs. Jessica provided regular updates to let us know our doggies were doing okay. She made sure to give them some extra love and attention and made sure they got outside. We came home to our house just as we left it and we really appreciate her flexibility regarding the older dog's accidents.”

About: I have been watching after animals since I was at a really young age and have learned so much. I have watched all ages and all different breeds that have taught me that every dog is different and has different needs. I’ve trained all of my pups myself and have experienced taking care of senior animals as well! I’m currently working full time but I make my own schedule so I am very flexible on what days I work and match that with when I can be available to watch your fur babies. I am free almost every weekend. I will care for every single pet as I do my own and make sure that get everything they need. I will give them all the loving while your away!

About: Lifelong pet owner with Vet Tech experience. My priority is keeping pets safe, comfortable, and stress free whether that’s sticking to routines, giving medications, or extra patience and love. I have a remote internship in the mornings that I can do from anywhere, so I have an open and flexible schedule to care for your pets. I have 30 years of experience with pets and 3 years of vet tech experience. I’m always happy to send photos, videos, and updates when needed.
“Emily went ABOVE & BEYOND to make our older dog comfortable, happy, well-fed, and taken care of while we were on a vacation. She was always on time, followed all requests to a dot, and updated us every day on how everything is going. Emily has a fantastic can-do attitude, is super cheerful, and just so easy to work with. We will absolutely re-book her in the near future. Please do not hesitate to use her as your next pet house sitter. A+++”

“Hope has been great with communication and attention to detail. I have many specific requests with my elderly dog and Hope has confirmed every one while also being patient when I was out of cell/wifi range. I plan to continue to work with her 😊”
“David was AaaaMAZING with my cats! He was thoughtful about my cat’s needs, communicative and loving. His excellent care helped make my vacation stress-free. Thank you for taking such good care of them.”

“We needed someone to watch our 2 cats for Labor Day weekend and Nicole did a fantastic job. We had an extensive list of instructions and were a little worried it was too much but she followed them perfectly. On top of that, the cats seemed fairly comfortable with her, which surprised me and she was able to feed them without any issue. Overall we're very happy with Nicole.”

About: I worked at a doggy daycare with shy dogs, reactive dogs, and dogs that can't play with other dogs. I also volunteered for several years at the Longmont Humane Society working with dogs and cats. Additionally, I've run a pet sitting bussiness for the past 8 years. I work full time, so I prefer animals that can be alone for at least 8 hours. Outside of work, I can give them the care they need, and I have a car to reliably get me there. I have 4 cats and a small dog, so I can't have client pets at my house, but I will follow any and all instructions to keep your home and animals safe while you are gone.
“Meghan has been great with my dogs! Throughout the whole process she has been professional and so kind to me and my dogs! She sent pictures and updates which I absolutely loved seeing. I will definitely be using Meghan again for future visits! My dogs love her so much ☺️”

About: I’m a special education teacher looking to spend my summer caring for animals! I’ve grown up around pets and have experience pet sitting and dog walking for friends, family, and neighbors since college. I currently have a 5-year-old black lab who is very high energy, so I’m very comfortable with active dogs that need lots of exercise, outdoor time, and play. We spend a lot of time outside hiking, walking, and playing fetch, and I truly enjoy being active with her. I also have a cat, so I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats of different personalities and energy levels. I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and will treat your pets like my own. I will have a very open and flexible schedule during the summer, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. I love being outdoors, so daily walks, playtime, fetch, and adventures are already a part of my normal routine with my own dog. I’m available for dog walking, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and giving pets lots of love and attention. I enjoy staying active and would love to spend my summer caring for animals. I am a very organized, clean, dependable, and attentive person, and I will treat your pets with the same love and care that I give my own pets. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, exercised, and supervised. I understand how important routines and trust are for animals, and I will follow all instructions carefully. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I will keep the environment clean, respectful, and leave the home exactly how I found it.
About: Animals have always been my passion, and I have dedicated both my professional career and my ongoing education to ensuring they live their best lives. Having spent two years working in doggy daycare, I have had the privilege of supporting dogs of all ages and temperaments through their daily routines. I find genuine joy in providing the specific type of attention each dog needs to feel secure and happy, from managing puppy "zoomies" to honoring the slower, comfortable pace of a senior companion. By choosing to work with me, you are welcoming a dedicated, trained, and compassionate advocate into your pet's life who will ensure they feel right at home while you are away. I treat every animal I care for as if they were my own, and I am committed to making your pet’s time with me a positive and stress-free experience. I understand that every pet family has a unique rhythm, and my primary goal is to maintain that consistency while you are away. Because pet care is my full-time passion, I offer the flexibility required to adapt to your specific needs—whether your dog thrives on a structured routine of midday walks or requires the comfort of a consistent presence during overnight house-sitting. I pride myself on being highly adaptable to your schedule, ensuring your furry friend receives attentive, professional supervision and companionship that mirrors the care they are used to at home. I am committed to making your time away stress-free by providing reliable, dedicated, and high-quality care whenever you need it. In my home, my dogs are treated like family, just as all dogs deserve. They receive love and attention, and I cherish the quality time we spend together. Whenever I was dog sitting, I made sure the dog felt comfortable with both me and its surroundings. I also ensured that all their needs were met and that they were thriving. If the dog enjoys walks, they will be given one daily.

About: I’ve had dogs in my family and house since I was born, so taking care of dogs comes naturally to me. Throughout high school, I was known to be the dog walker and watcher of the neighborhood. I would watch dogs for weeks or even just check in once and awhile for a walk. I continue to take care of my own dogs when my parents are away and even on a daily basis. What makes me stand out is that I have a genuine love for animals and I’m very reliable. I also specialize in anxious, hyper and even older dogs. My dog is very anxious and old so I know how to meet their needs. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable and well cared for. I’m committed to taking care of whatever a dog needs to feel comfortable. I’m currently out of school for the months of June and July. I have no schedule and I’m free most of the days. I would like to use these days to take care and visit your loved animal. I provide care in my clients home where I can keep a pets routine normal and comfortable. I don’t offer boarding in my own home
“Emily was fabulous for a quick last minute walk with our senior dog and checking in on our kitty. We are very grateful for her and will use again in the future!! Very professional, highly recommend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
