“Thank you for taking such great care of Milo! So thorough and helpful! Very much appreciate your close attention and wonderful care while I was out of state!”

About: I have experience with all types of dog personalities, from very playful and friendly to highly anxious and reactive rescue dogs. I am happy to walk/run multiple times a day or take them to my apt dog yard with only trusted dogs that I am comfortable with. Whatever the client requires! I am currently home all day. I love to walk/run and I am happy to meet the exercise needs of your dog and send proof on my Garmin watch! I also have an apt dog yard and can take your dog out there to play fetch or hang out with other dogs I trust if you dog enjoys playtime. Or to just hang out with my dogs! I have two extremely friendly dogs. I am happy to let them play together or take your dog on separate walks and runs. The goal is to not overwhelm your dogs and make them as happy as they can be!
“Marianne was great with my cat! She sent lots of pictures and made us feel confident he was getting attention while we were away. She even left my cat a little Christmas present! I would absolutely recommend Marianne as a pet sitter!”

“Janelle is an amazing care giver to our dogs. They are very comfortable with her and enjoy their time with her. She is able to walk both of our dogs together which is something other care givers have been unable to do. She is caring and kind to the dogs and always sends great photos and updates. I highly recommend Janelle!”

About: Hi! My name is Marion. I have always loved dogs, and have one lovely pup of my own, Summit. She is the tan dog in the photos. She is 7 years old, and very dog friendly. She loves to play, but knows boundaries and is happy to cuddle on the couch as well. I have a very large, high-fenced yard that is great for the dogs, and I also walk my dogs 2x daily and take them to the dog park or open space 1-2x per week. I am a runner, so I could gladly run with your dog if you would like. Dogs of all sizes are welcome in my home! I grew up with Great Danes and am very comfortable around big dogs, and my house is very open so there is a lot of room. I look forward to meeting you and your doggos! I am experience with senior and medical pets as well and am comfortable caring for your medically needing fur babies. Behavioral issues or nervous dogs don’t scare me, I have fostered 50+ dogs over the years and am happy to be accommodating. I work from home 90% of the time and am only gone from the home for 2-4 hours at a time to visit my clients. I have a furbo in my home to check in on dogs when I am not at home, and can make my schedule work for someone needing 24/7 observation as long as I have notice. I have multiple spaces in my home if our dogs need to be separated as well.
“Sally was very friendly, communicative, and thorough, and she was great with our bunnies and anxious cat. We had told her about some signs to look for from past medical problems, and she was sure to update us about that every day. I'd highly recommend her!!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! Vicki is incredibly trustworthy, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. Her compassion for animals truly shines through (even bringing extra toys over to engage with my cats), and my rescue cat warmed up to her right away. I really appreciated her integrity, my other cat spent a lot of time hiding, and Vicki was honest when he didn't come out to eat his dinner during a visit. She really went above and beyond to try and coax him out, and I felt so much better knowing she was here because I knew she would communicate everything to me. Vicki kept me up to date with lots of pictures as well, and I loved them so much that I saved some of them to my phone. Highly recommend her services to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring!”

“Stephanie literally saved us. My husband and I had to take an impromptu trip to Austin and our son (who usually keeps our dogs) had just recently moved out. We didn’t know what to do since we are not a fan of boarding. We looked into Rover, found Stephanie and she was at hour house to meet us the next day. Let me just say that she is AMAZING!!! We felt so comfortable with her and our poodle loves took to her immediately. We will definitely be using Stephanie more in the future.”

About: I've fostered and adopted many animals, including those with medical conditions and treatments. I'm passionate about senior dog care and love ❤️, but I love all animals. From snuggles to special diets, medications, exercise, PT, walks, mental stimulation, and playtime, I'm up for it all. I currently work full time but will be transitioning to a remote job from home. I feed my dog in the morning before work and have a 2 hour morning routine, then break for lunch for feeding, bathroom and snuggles, and then dinner and bathroom after work at 5pm and play in evening time. When working from home, I take frequent breaks to walk and stimulate my buddies. I have a lovely middle-aged shih tzu named "Princess Peach" who is a great companion and dog and cat host. My house is a 2 bedroom ranch style home with basement in a terrific walkable neighborhood. I have a backyard with a chain link fence along a residential street. I have a reliable car and can lift and transport large and small animals with care. I'm attentive and observant and observe all rules of clients' homes. I'm very respectful of others' spaces and clean up immediately after any mess.

“Olivia was great with our kitten and followed the directions to the T. Communication was great and prompt. Would definitely recommend to friends or anyone else needing a sitter!”

About: I have cared for dozens of dogs, cats and pets over the last 25 years. I bring a calming, grounded energy and an intelligent, thoughtful approach when caring for animals. I am self-employed as an insurance broker and can work from anywhere with cell service/internet. This gives me a ton of flexibility with scheduling and availability. I work closely with pet owners to follow specific care instructions and take their personal preferences very seriously. I understand that pets are part of the family and have their own unique routines, needs and care requirements.

About: I've been doing Rover as a side gig every summer for a few years. I work as a teacher and love filling my summers walking dogs. I have a senior aged cat who is the laziest cuddle bug in the whole world. I also have a rescue German Sherpherd mix who I adore but has needed a lot of work over the years. All this to say, I have a strong understanding of the spectrum of needs your pet may have and come with the experience to take care of your animal as if they are my own. I have summers off, so my availability is very open until I return to school in August. During the school year, I would mainly be available for pet sitting or walks on weekends. I follow owners’ instructions closely and make sure pets stay on their normal routine. I treat every pet like they are my own by giving them lots of attention, care, patience, and a safe environment while their owners are away.

Matthew always spends quality time playing with Monte. I always feel better knowing my dog is in good hands. I especially appreciate the photo updates, they give my husband and me peace of mind and make us smile. I always feel more relaxed knowing my dog is being so well cared for, and will definitely book with Matthew again!

I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! From the initial meet to make sure everything was in order Janelle took such great care of my dogs while I was away. She made sure they were fed, got their potty breaks, and gave them so much love and attention. She even cleaned their food and water bowls, which was such a thoughtful touch and definitely went above and beyond. She also cleaned up any accidents, gave them special treats, and made sure everything was tidy and all set before she left. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring hands. I could tell she genuinely cared about their well-being, and I would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!

Bridgett took excellent care of our furr babies while we were away for a week. This was the longest we have been separated from them and it a great reassurance to have Bridgett care for them. Bridgett was very communicative and observant and spent lots of quality time with our cat and dog. I highly recommend Bridgett for your loved ones.

Zoe was prompt and able to handle a last minute-ish request to help transport my pup for her overnight doggie sleepover at a friend’s house! Super grateful she was able to do this and transport Georgie with care. Let me know when she picked her up and sent pictures at drop off. Thanks, Zoe!

Elaine was extremely helpful! I sprained my ankle moving and last minute needed help. She was very accommodating and treated Stella as if she was her own. She was very communicative and sent me a message any time she had a question. Definitely recommend booking with her and will be booking with her again!

Kevin fed and played with my two dogs while I was out of town for the weekend. Each time, Kevin said my introvert dog warmed up a little quicker, which is comforting that they’re getting some love and attention. They were happy when we got back home, but content with the visits they’d been receiving from Kevin. Thanks!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
