I care for your pets as though they were my own. I love animals and want them to feel safe and comfortable. I follow your routine as you describe, trying to meet every need of your pet at all times, while making it fun and stress-free as your furbaby awaits your return.
Information Stephanie S. would like to know about your pet
I don't have any breed preferences-I love all sizes, ages, and types of dogs. Before sitting for a dog, I would like to know if it is a male or female, whether it has been spayed/neutered, age, medical issues, favorite activities, favorite treats, any problem behavior seen, and if there are any particular things you wish for your dog to be taught to do. I have had fairly recent ankle surgery, so high levels of activity or running/jogging with your pet is something I’m not able to do at the moment.
A typical day
Can go for walks around the neighborhood, parks, any favorite spot the dogs love. I can do lots of training for specific abilities that are also fun for the dogs. Tug-of-war, fetch, lots of petting and attention with positive affirmations, brushing, and anything the dogs love to do, I will love, too! Always lots of love given!

Pet care experience
Dogs and cats are the best people! Greetings and salutations! My name is Shade she/ they 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️☮️ (my legal name is Stephanie and have gone by this name up until recently) and I'm excited to meet you! I've raise dogs and cats since I was a kid. I love all animals, especially pets. I am certified in CPR, AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens. I will be delighted to do basic grooming, bathing, administering medications, and anything else necessary to keep your pet happy and healthy***. I also enjoy sitting for dogs, cats, birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish, and other mammalian animals. When house sitting, I'm happy to do basic chores like getting mail, light cleaning, windows, sweeping, vacuuming, and more***. I'm never prone to any kind of anger or violence, so no need to worry that your furbaby will be punished in any kind of inappropriate manner whatsoever. If there is anything additional you would like to know about me, please contact me! I'm available by e-mail, text, or in person. (I am autistic and prefer to not speak on the phone. Texts are preferred. Thank you) PLEASE NOTE: I will NOT bring your animals with me in the case of an evacuation. I will request an emergency contact who will be responsible for that task. ••(Important update: I can no longer accept clients where I would have to use multiple flights of stairs in the care of their pets due to a foot injury requiring surgery)•• *For house sitting, I will be present for 8-10 hours per night and will include feeding, medication administration, treats, and letting outside to use bathroom. If you book multiple nights, I can begin at 3pm on day one and end at 11am on the last day. Any additional time or walks requested will incur an additional charge. I have another job so it is possible I will be absent from your home for 10-12 hours at a time. **FREE services (some require a paid visit): -Initial meet & greet (unless outside service radius) -Sending a report card and pictures for every visit -Picking up/dropping off house key -Towel drying off if it's raining or your pet gets wet or muddy -Medication administration -Feeding and giving treats and water -Changing pee pads, picking up poo (if on a walk), cleaning up any "accidents" in your home (including vomit, water or food spills, and the like) -Basic first aid -Getting your mail or newspaper, bringing trash or recycling to the curb or returning the bins to home -Washing the pet's food and water dishes -If you are a repeat customer or are booking for an extended period, I will add in a few extras like brushing out, ear cleaning, nail trimming, longer stays, etc. -Lots of love, pets, and cuddles! ***Additional fees will be incurred but are negotiable for: -House cleaning -Pet bathing or grooming (nails trimmed, brushing out, ear cleaning) -Extra walks or longer staying time during overnight stays -Pet training (sit, stay, come, down, shake, high five, speak, kennel, off, heel) -Walks or check-ins requested to be longer than 30 minutes -More than 1 animal needing care (usually there is no additional fee for this unless they have many needs or there are several animals) -A walk or check-in monitored by pet parents before initial stay -Pets that are difficult to handle on walks (aggressive towards people or animals, pull very hard whether constant or random, are leash aggressive, etc.) -Transportation to/from vet, daycare, dog park, groomer, etc. -Scooping poo in your yard -Check ins or walks before 7:30am or after 9:30pm *****Please note that I am perfectly fine with you having cameras in your home (in fact, I expect it!) and calling or messaging me to check in on your pets while you are away. However, I would request that you not show up unannounced while I am staying at your home for 2 reasons: 1. I like to leave the home as clean or cleaner than when I arrive as part of my personal work ethic-you deserve to come home to a clean home and happy pet! 2. I am on the Autism spectrum (part of the reason why I love working with animals!) so showing up or having someone show up and come inside during my stay is panic-inducing for me. As long as I am aware, I'm fine with it! ******IF your pets or house has fleas, bedbugs, or roaches, I will NOT house sit or do any type of visit. I cannot risk transferring pests to my home or to my other clients! *I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, so I refuse to serve: anyone who mocks developmentally disabled people, racists, or bigots* I make sure to know your routines with your pets so they feel safe and secure. Also, I have first aid and cpr training, so if there is something that happens, I can almost certainly make it better ❤️🩹
