I have over 10 years of experience with dog sitting and house sitting, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. I feel confident in my ability to understand dogs’ individual needs, personalities, and routines, and I take pride in providing attentive, compassionate care. I have no breed restrictions and can generally accommodate dogs with special needs, medications, or specific care requirements. I enjoy working with pets of all ages—from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. In addition to dogs, I also love cats and am happy to help care for them as well. I’m even open to assisting with other animals, including small livestock, while owners are away. I believe it’s incredibly important to respect your home. Trusting someone to care for your pets and your space is a big deal, and I always make sure to leave homes in the same condition they were left. Service Types & What to Expect: House Sitting: This is the most comprehensive option and is ideal for pets who do best in their own environment. I spend extended time in your home, follow your pet’s normal routine, provide feeding, bathroom breaks, playtime, companionship, and any special care needed. I typically do an evening bathroom break around 10–11 PM, return home to sleep, and come back first thing in the morning to continue care, however, I can accommodate overnight stays as requested. Drop-In Visits: Drop-ins are shorter visits focused on essentials such as feeding, bathroom breaks, litter box cleaning, medication, and some attention or playtime. A walk may be included depending on timing and your pet’s needs, but drop-ins do not necessarily prioritize or guarantee a walk. Dog Walking: Walks are dedicated walking sessions. These visits are focused on exercise, fresh air, and safe, enjoyable walks tailored to your dog’s pace and energy level. I typically don’t leave animals alone for more than 4–6 hours. I do have dogs of my own, so I rotate between locations to ensure both your pets and mine receive proper care and attention. Your pets’ comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority.

I only host pets in my home for close friends and family, however I do have a doggy door and a fully fenced in yard. Opening your home to a stranger is no small thing and I never take it lightly. I treat my clients home with respect and always make sure to leave the home in the condition in which it was left.

Joanie was just wonderful with our dog, Arlow. She was attentive and responsible and really earned both Arlows and our trust. She is so sweet and reliable and we can’t wait to have her back as our sitter! I really felt like i could sit back and enjoy our vacation knowing Joanie was taking care of our puppers. 🖤 10/10
Joanie is awesome! She has been walking my two border collies for the past 3 weeks and they love her. They do both off and on leash walks and she gives them the exercise, love, and compassion they need. My dogs are 11 and 8 years old and have never been walked by anyone other than me. Joanie is punctual and super good at communicating. I am very happy we found Joanie. Book her with confidence.

Joanie is fantastic. I have 2 border collies and they are a handful of work and need a lot of walking and activity. I recently had knee replacement surgery and my dogs have never been walked by anyone other than myself and they are 11 and 8 years old. I asked Joanie if we could do a paid trial walk where I came along and she was great. She has been walking them 1-2x a day for the past few weeks and my dogs love her. They are off leash a lot and listen to her perfectly. Joanie is responsive and really gives your dogs the love and attention they need. While I expect to recover in another month or so I will continue use Joanie afterwards whenever she is available. Just a super person and a super dog person. I highly recommend her.
Joanie came over for a trial walk with me and my dogs. ( paid of course). I have a border collie and an Australian shepherd and they are used to getting out a lot mostly off leash but on leash as well. Joanie connected with them immediately and really understood their quirks and needs. I will be needing her services pretty regularly and am happy I found her. I would highly recommend her for any dog walking or pet sitting needs you have.
Luka lived Joanie!! She was a trooper with taking him for out scheduled walks in subzero temperatures. She also gave home plenty of love and treats! Can’t wait to book her again!

Dates de la garde
My life revolves around the care that I provide for my pets. I never leave the pups alone for longer than four hours at a time. I walk my dogs four times a day and on weekends, take them on adventures to the lake or on the trails.
