“Melissa is reliable, trustworthy and goes above and beyond. When we returned home from a 5 day trip, I could just tell that she took amazing care of our Koda. Also, from the pictures she sent daily, I could tell my dog adored her, which meant everything to me. It was apparent from the moment Melissa met Koda during our initial meet and greet that she is very personable and really amazing with animals. In addition, she is an excellent communicator who was very responsive and left our house immaculate. I highly recommend Melissa as a caring, responsible pet sitter.”

“Taylor was great with our pups. And he kept the house very clean. So nice to know when we are away that the dogs are in good hands, and when we get home that they’re happy & the house is in great shape.”

“Jennifer took great care of my pup and sent sweet updates which was so appreciated for my first weekend using Rover. She was also super helpful and accommodating of a change in plans. Thank you Jennifer!”

“Santiago was very flexible and available when I needed a last minute booking for a sitting. Zoey had a great visit and was well taken care of. Santiago made sure to have my place spick and span when I arrived home after a long day of travel and emotional weekend with my family. Most certainly would book again!”

“Connie was amazing with our dog! She took such good care of him and was very thoughtful looking after his needs as he is a senior. She sent videos and pictures throughout the day. We couldn’t ask for more and will definitely hope to ask her to help us out again!”
“Brian helped us out last minute with pet/housesitting. It was a relief to know that our elderly dog was being cared for. House was kept up an Brian even brought a large area rug in for me.”

“Carolyn took great care of our dog! Sent lots of pictures and was consistent with her routines, helping our dog adjust to the change of us being gone. I felt comfortable leaving our home and dog in her care and would do so again without hesitation.”

“Maja was great again with my two boys! Leaves everything tidy and happy pets! Really appreciate her communication throughout the process and the care taken overall. 10/10.”

“Robin was phenomenal and made us feel at ease while we were out of town. Our pup was completely comfortable with her, and we came home to a spotless house. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again if/when she's available!”

“Zach did a fantastic job of dog- and house-sitting our energetic and attention-loving dog. He was accommodating of our short-notice request, very responsive, and so warm! He took great care of our home and left it clean. And he provided our pup with the love she is accustom to (and sent us great frequent photo updates too!). 100% would recommend him and use him again! Thanks, Zach!!”

“We highly recommend August! He took care of our Aussie in our home for two days and we were very happy with his attention to Woogie and the house. We look forward to him coming back at the end of the month for a longer doggie sit.”

“Keidy was amazing with our two dogs Izzy and Pippin! We had a super unusual request and she helped us out on our wedding weekend making sure the pups were well taken care of! She rolled with the punches and I can tell the dogs had a wonderful time with her.”

About: Hi! I love dog sitting, and I look forward giving your dog all the care, exercise, and attention they deserve while you are away. My dog Tommy and I love making new friends and we look forward to meeting your dog soon! I have had dogs for 10 years and have spent many years dog sitting on Rover and for friends as well as fostering dogs for animal rescue organizations. I love to go for walks and spend as much time with the dogs as possible. I can adapt to any exercise requirements your dog may have. I spent many hours training my dog as a puppy so I know how important maintaining good habits are. I am happy to maintain any structure you use at home for your dog and to maintain the training you have given them. My dog Tommy is half lab half golden. He is very friendly and likes to have friends around. Tommy and I offer house sitting in your home as well. He is very polite and good in the house! Please reach out with any questions you may have. I do require a meet and greet prior to booking. I take my dog for walks in the morning and evening with a bathroom break in the middle of the day. We also incorporate playing and training and sometimes walk on local trails or go for hikes. I abide by any rules your dog follows when they are with you. My dog is free to go anywhere in the house during the day (although he usually hangs out with me!), and he stays in my room while I am out of the house.

“Great with dogs!! We have 3 dogs- some of which aren’t quick to warm up & she does a great job of being patient and building trust. Sends lots of updates & communicates well, leaves our house in great shape. Definitely would recommend! Have booked with her more than once”

“I highly recommend Neveah. She is communicative and reliable. She watched our two dogs and two cats for ten days and all the pets were calm and happy when we got home which means they were well taken care of. We are all very appreciative of her work!!”
“Becca was a wonderful sitter! She is kind and attentive, and gave me lots of daily updates with great photos. She even went on runs with my dog which was amazing! I would definitely have Becca watch Luna again and would certainly recommend her to others :) thanks Becca!!!”

“Ben waa promt arriving to care for our 3 month old puppy at pur hotel...aside from him suffering a puppy scratch, they had a great afternoon. Fritz was fed/watered/pottied/walked/played with and generally well cared for, for 6 hours! We give Ben ????? (5 paws/stars)!”

About: You know when you’re out in public and your dog unexpectedly rushes straight over to say hi to a random (specific) person then needs to be physically pulled away even after they got the attention they wanted? For some reason, I’ve always been that random but specific person. Sometimes it feels like dogs suddenly materialize in front of me or like their “hello” is really more of a “it’s about time you got here!” Dogs (and cats, for that matter) also tend to insist on cuddling up next to me instead of their usual pick when I visit their homes (and I’m certainly not complaining). I currently only have cats, but I grew up with three dogs (a chocolate lab, a miniature schnauzer, and a Pomeranian) and have learned how to love both in the ways they want me to love them. What I love most about dogs is how pure they are. We all appreciate their undying loyalty, of course, but the sweet, unconditionally caring emotional presence that dogs carry themselves with is one of the things that makes life worth living. I consider non-human animals to be people too, and dogs are definitely among the best non-human animals. I would be just as excited as your dog(s) would be to make a new friend! My availability is flexible in general but particularly in terms of the time of day. I have a circadian rhythm difference that makes my sleep “schedule” change throughout each week, so if I’m given sufficient notice (48 hours), I’m easily able to modify my waking hours if your pet has time-sensitive needs. As mentioned in my bios, animals seem to naturally see me as a Disney princess. However, even though I’m very confident that I’ll get along with your pet(s) without any issues, their friendship is theirs to give, not mine to demand. Their needs are my top priority (and would be even if I weren’t petsitting); I recognize that some animals need lots of time and space to truly feel safe, and giving them that time and space is the only way to create a mutually comforting environment. Even if your dog/cat actually is insatiably social and unfailingly affectionate, I want to be sure that I get an idea of any individual boundaries or strong preferences beforehand so that I’m able to treat them with the same respect and care that I would a human person. As far as dogs and cats that want lots of love and affection, I am happy to give and share it! My cats sleep with me most nights and I often have one on my lap or next to my leg throughout a given day. Either way, I’ll follow your pet’s lead.
The median cost per night for house sitting in Mountain Meadows is $55
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mountain Meadows
Wow. Yolanda was truly the best sitter we've ever had. She went above and beyond in her care for both our cat (Sunny) and our home. She sent frequent updates, pictures and videos, which let us check in and see how much Sunny was being pampered. She was diligent about his care routine and ensured he was given his medication and frequent feedings, plus lots of loving caresses. We came home to a made bed with fresh sheets, which was an incredible gesture following a 3 hour flight delay. Our home was spotless upon return, leaving it in better condition than what we left for her. Yolanda goes above and beyond and is the premiere caretaker for your animal and home. 5 stars is truly too low of a rating.

Yolanda was awesome as always! Not the first time we’ve had her. Both my dogs just absolutely love her. Not only does she take care of the dogs, she keeps the house clean as well as washing the bedding before she leaves. She is also a great cook! Left us an homemade apple pie using our apples from our tree! She had fun with that! 😁🤣❤️ You guys need a dog sitter? Book with Yolanda!

FAQs for House Sitting - Mountain Meadows
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Mountain Meadows on Rover is $32.19 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 5,805 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mountain Meadows. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mountain Meadows walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mountain Meadows maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mountain Meadows choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mountain Meadows. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
