“I would not hesitate to recommend Melissa. We used her for the first time over a long spring break and she took terrific care of our 2 basset hounds in our home. She sent updates and photos and we could tell the dogs were being well cared for - lots of love and lots of exercise - what else could we ask for? There was a sudden wildfire evacuation later in the day that Melissa left - but before we got home- and she reached out immediately to see if she needed to get the dogs to make sure they were safe. Above and beyond! Terrific communication and a lovely pet sitter whom we will undoubtedly use again.”

“Taylor was great to work with. He is kind, attentive to the dog's individual needs (including complicated medication schedules), and wonderful with communication. I highly recommend him!”

“Santiago was very flexible and available when I needed a last minute booking for a sitting. Zoey had a great visit and was well taken care of. Santiago made sure to have my place spick and span when I arrived home after a long day of travel and emotional weekend with my family. Most certainly would book again!”

“Copper and Levi were so happy to have Jennifer stay with them for a week. She made sure everything ran smoothly at the house and her communication was great. I highly recommend her! :-)”

“Brian helped us out last minute with pet/housesitting. It was a relief to know that our elderly dog was being cared for. House was kept up an Brian even brought a large area rug in for me.”

“Connie spent a week in my house and left it exactly as we left it. Normally our dog is very standoffish but immediately got atttached to Connie and was happy our whole time away, she was very responsive and sent updates often”
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and they’ve been a huge part of my family. I lost my dog to cancer last year and am looking for opportunities to spend more time with pups. Tell me what you need and I will be there! I’ve watched 5 dogs at once before and have watched all breeds of dogs from a dachshund-yorkie to a St. bernadoodle. I work seasonally and will be providing pet care part time as I go into my off-season. I will be working part time at a bakery as well, so I am able to provide care overnight and before and after shifts. I am not allowed pets in my current housing, so I will be watching your pet in your home. I am very responsible and respect all boundaries set. I have house sit for 8 years and am very cognizant of your personal space and caring for your home as well as your pets.
“I can't say enough good things about August! He goes above and beyond what I ever expected in a dog sitter. He paid attention to every single detail, from Mila’s specific feeding routine to how she likes to sleep. He is professional, caring, and trustworthy. I received daily photo and video updates, which was incredibly comforting while I was away. Mila was relaxed, happy, and clearly well-loved when I returned home, which says everything about the quality of care. I highly recommend August to anyone who wants their pet to receive 5-star treatment! He also did amazing extras like making sure my packages got inside and I came home to a spotless house. I cannot say enough good things about him! I will definitely use him in the future.”

“Brenna has been a great dog walker and house sitter for my dog Daisy. She spends extra time with Daisy to make sure she's comfortable (Daisy can be very anxious). When she was house sitting for us, she sent a lot of great updates and clearly went above and beyond in spending time with Daisy in the ways that Daisy likes to be: snuggling on the couch, and playing lots of fetch!”

“Olivia was a life saver! She helped us out last minute and took great care of our pups and chickens. She kept us updated and the house looked great when we got home. Will definitely hire her again!”

“Zach is wonderful! He is responsive, flexible, and understanding. He pays attention to details and cares deeply. Plus, my dogs seemed comfortable with him in their first meeting.”
About: Hi! I love dog sitting, and I look forward giving your dog all the care, exercise, and attention they deserve while you are away. My dog Tommy and I love making new friends and we look forward to meeting your dog soon! I have had dogs for 10 years and have spent many years dog sitting on Rover and for friends as well as fostering dogs for animal rescue organizations. I love to go for walks and spend as much time with the dogs as possible. I can adapt to any exercise requirements your dog may have. I spent many hours training my dog as a puppy so I know how important maintaining good habits are. I am happy to maintain any structure you use at home for your dog and to maintain the training you have given them. My dog Tommy is half lab half golden. He is very friendly and likes to have friends around. Tommy and I offer house sitting in your home as well. He is very polite and good in the house! Please reach out with any questions you may have. I do require a meet and greet prior to booking. I take my dog for walks in the morning and evening with a bathroom break in the middle of the day. We also incorporate playing and training and sometimes walk on local trails or go for hikes. I abide by any rules your dog follows when they are with you. My dog is free to go anywhere in the house during the day (although he usually hangs out with me!), and he stays in my room while I am out of the house.

“Vye was great with our dog and cat! She was very understanding of both of their special needs. Vye provided prompt updates. She also dealt with an unexpected maintenance issue in our apartment. We would love to book Vye again!”

About: I have had animals in my life since day one; I’ve had a variety of dogs in and out of my house for a long as I can remember. I am very versatile and have had experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, big and little dogs, calm or anxious dogs, reactive dogs and everything in between! Since school is out for the summer I am available to help out anytime! I am able to do sittings, walks and drop-ins at your convenience In a clients home I will treat their space and animal with the utmost respect and care. I intend to give their pet the love and attention they deserve and leave the home better than I found it
About: With two years of experience as an in-home pet sitter, I’ve had the pleasure of caring for two wonderful dogs, ensuring they are happy and well-looked after while their owners are away. Growing up with dogs my entire life has given me a deep understanding of their needs and behavior. This lifelong experience, combined with the joy my own cat brings me, enhances my ability to provide attentive and loving care to all pets entrusted to me. I am ideally looking to pet sit between Monday and Friday, with very open availability during these days. This flexible schedule allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs and ensure your pets receive the attention and care they deserve. As a dedicated pet sitter, I prioritize the safety and well-being of your pets by following strict safety precautions. I ensure that all areas are pet-proofed, provide secure feeding and play environments, and adhere to any specific care instructions you provide. Regular communication with you helps me stay updated on any changes or concerns, while my attentive approach ensures that your pets are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for throughout my time with them.
About: My family always had three dogs growing up, so I'm experienced with different dog sizes and temperaments. I'm experienced in special needs and senior dog care. I love play time, hikes or walks, and giving lots of pets or letting dogs have their own space. I work a hybrid schedule in Boulder, so I'm available to stay with pets during some weekdays and let them out/give them a midday walk. I lead an active lifestyle and would be happy to talk dogs out for a walk/hike/run. I do not care for pets in my home, but I'm happy to accommodate my client's typical schedules, sleeping arrangements, and walk/feeding times in their homes.
“Ben waa promt arriving to care for our 3 month old puppy at pur hotel...aside from him suffering a puppy scratch, they had a great afternoon. Fritz was fed/watered/pottied/walked/played with and generally well cared for, for 6 hours! We give Ben ????? (5 paws/stars)!”

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, growing up with multiple cats and small dogs, including a Frenchie and a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix and Bangle cats. While I am newer to professional pet sitting, caring for animals is second nature to me. I have plenty of experience with daily feeding, walking, and giving lots of affection. I haven't personally owned large dogs before, but as a bigger person myself, I am fully capable of handling them and absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to care for larger breeds, I've actually always wanted one! I love both dogs and cats equally and will treat your pets like my own My schedule is incredibly flexible. As a recent grad, I currently work part-time as a server at a local restaurant, but my shifts are never longer than 5 hours. This means your pets will never be left alone for long stretches of the day. I have my own reliable car, so I am more than happy to stay at your home, head to my short shift, and come right back to walk and hang out with your pets. I am also fully available for overnight stays to keep your pets comfortable in their normal routine. I am a highly organized, detail-oriented, and tidy person by nature. I know that trusting a young adult with your home and pets is a big deal, so I want to assure you that I am incredibly responsible. I do not drink, I do not party, and I will absolutely never invite anyone over to your house while you are away. When I am caring for your pets, you can trust that your space will be treated with the utmost respect and kept exactly as clean as you left it (if not cleaner!). I believe a calm, structured environment is the safest for pets, and I will follow your care and safety instructions to the letter to ensure your furry best friend feels secure.

About: I'm a student a CU looking to make some extra money while taking a semester off. I super love animals and have been really good with dogs so I would love to spend some of my extra time by taking care of dogs especially because as a college kid I can't have my own dogs even though I really wish I could! Although I have no professional experience I have grown up with many dogs and have learned to take care of several different types of dogs. I would love the opportunity to be able to gain a little bit of professional experience caring for animals and have a pretty flexible schedule so I can work with you. I look forward to helping you take care of your dog!

Yolanda was awesome as always! Not the first time we’ve had her. Both my dogs just absolutely love her. Not only does she take care of the dogs, she keeps the house clean as well as washing the bedding before she leaves. She is also a great cook! Left us an homemade apple pie using our apples from our tree! She had fun with that! 😁🤣❤️ You guys need a dog sitter? Book with Yolanda!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mountain Meadows walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mountain Meadows maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mountain Meadows choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mountain Meadows. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
