“Leah was super communicative, sent tons of photo and video updates, and left our house just as clean (or cleaner!!) than we left it. Would definitely recommend her!!”

“Nevaeh did a wonderful job watching my little dogs! She was caring, professional and kind! She followed all of my instructions and she even took my trash bins in from the outside on trash day. My older dog wouldn’t go upstairs to the guest room with her so instead of leaving him alone downstairs she chose to sleep downstairs with him which was very sweet. Everything was left perfectly clean and Punky and Wilbur were so well taken care of and happy. Thank you so much for your excellent care, Nevaeh!!”

“Emily was amazing! Our pup Maple is our pride and joy so we always get nervous leaving her, but Emily took great care of her and sent plenty of pictures and updates that felt very reassuring! She was very respectful and attentive - seemed like Maple had a great time!”

“Santiago watched our dog Daisy for the first time and yet it felt as if we had known him for a long time. He was wonderful with Daisy as we could see from the many photos he sent to keep us informed every day. He fulfilled all of our requests regarding food, walks, plant watering. Our house was in excellent condition. He even laundered the sheets and re made the bed. That sure is a bonus at the end of a trip. Because I felt so comfortable on meeting Santi, I booked him for another stay before he had come the first time. It is so wonderful to leave a beloved pet with a light hearted and confident feeling as we did with Santi. Daisy seemed to thrive on his watch. We all look forward to his next stay.”

“Brian helped us out last minute with pet/housesitting. It was a relief to know that our elderly dog was being cared for. House was kept up an Brian even brought a large area rug in for me.”

“Isabella was wonderful! She was very comfortable with our large anxious dog and left the house looking great. She was very communicative and helped out with an unexpected delivery when we were gone. I look forward to using her again.”

“Meghan was great with Mimo and took wonderful care of him again. We had a few unexpected issues come up at home and with Mimo’s health, and she was incredibly helpful on managing while we were away.”

“This was our first time using Connie. She stayed at our house over the weekend with our Bernese Mountain Dog pup while we were out of town. We received lots of photos and updates, which was so wonderful! Connie kept us updated on how Boken was doing daily and left the place looking exactly as we'd left it. We were super happy!”

“Brenna took amazing care of our dog. She sent photos regularly and was responsive to emergencies like the power going out. We are so grateful for her care and attention to detail.”

“Taylor took amazing care of our pups and sent daily pics and videos of them! He also was a wonderful house guest, and even washed our guest sheets and towels. We would happily have him come stay and care for the dogs again anytime!”

“August was great! He sent regular updates, was extremely responsive, and was the perfect balance of warm and professional. Knowing he was giving our pup the attention and care he needed while we were away gave us valuable piece of mind. He left the house in excellent shape and took care of things like trash while we were gone. I highly recommend August and will be booking with him again.”

“Excellent pet sitter! Was so sweet with my baby puppy and kept him entertained and active. Sent me lots of updates and pictures. I was so relaxed knowing my little man was in good hands.”

“We could not have been more pleased with Zach's care for our dogs while we were out of town for five days. He was very attentive to their food and exercise needs and kept us posted with updates and photos several times a day. By the end of Zach's stay, he and our dogs had clearly bonded. In addition, Zach took good care of our plants, and we returned to find the house clean and tidy.”

“Makayla stayed at my home while we were away for the holidays. She was kind and responsive and our pup seemed to love hanging out with her. Highly recommend!”

“Dylan was so communicative and took amazing care of my three senior pets. She sent regular photos and updates and was an incredibly responsible house guest. I will definitely hire her again!”

Leah did such a great job watching our high maintenance pup! Odin doesn’t do well with meeting new people and requires many drop ins before he is comfortable with someone new - especially with someone new staying in the home. Leah was just understanding and patient through the warm up period. She sent an update every day we were away, helped water our garden, brought in packages, and took good care of our home. She ensured Odin got enough walking time and didn’t go too long without a potty break. I would definitely recommend Leah to anyone looking for a reliable, highly communicative dog sitter!

Meghan is amazing! She takes such great care of my dog while I’m away so I can rest easy and enjoy my vacation. She is also incredibly respectful of my house and when I get home it is cleaner than when I left- an added bonus to how amazing she is with my dog! Highly recommend!

Ben came by for a meet and greet and was friendly and communicated well. He then stayed in my home with my cat while I was traveling. He got along well with my cat and was responsive and communicated well while I was away. My home was clean when I returned (he also had cleaned the sheets and towels he used) I could barely tell he had been there other than coming home to a calm and cared for cat and plants. He was thoughtful and asked good questions to do the job well and to utilize my home respectfully. I would have him house and pet sit again. He kept up with my cat’s medications (pills), wet food feeding schedule, and treats.

Brenna was absolutely great. She house sat for me and my girlfriend and took care of our dog and cat. Brenna was communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and both our house and animals were extremely well cared-for. I also greatly appreciated the time Brenna took to understand our expectations regarding feeding and walks. I would 100% trust Brenna again to house sit for us and take care of our pets.

Brad provided house/dog-sitting services for our senior dog, Kona. He communicated well, was prompt, friendly, asked questions proactively, and was highly-responsive. Brad was attentive to Kona’s unique needs and treated our home very well. It was nice to go out of town for a long weekend without worrying if Kona was okay. I highly recommend him!

Olivia was fantastic! She arrived right on time, was incredibly patient with our nervous pup, Bella, and made us feel completely at ease. She sent us the cutest photo of Bella snoozing like a little goofball (which she totally is!). We'd happily book with Olivia again and recommend her to anyone looking for a pup sitter.

Vye was terrific! Our dog Vesper was happy and well cared for (as well as our house). Vye sent us photos and stayed in communication about everything that went on, and went above and beyond making sure our dog was taken care of when our flight home was delayed.

We couldn't have asked for a better pet and house sitter! Gillian cared for our two indoor cats and our dog while we were out of the country for two weeks, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She kept us updated with messages and photos throughout our trip, which gave us so much peace of mind. When we came home, our pets were happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved, and our home was clean and well cared for. It's obvious that Gillian genuinely loves and cares for the animals she looks after. We wouldn't hesitate to have Gillian pet and house sit for us again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pine Brook Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pine Brook Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pine Brook Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
