We will need to agree on start/end times regardless of the times you enter into a booking request. *** I am of course happy to offer a *one-time* in person MEETUP for walk throughs and get acquainted meetings, but for *confirmed bookings* in *Boulder*, NO EXCEPTIONS. I do accept bookings outside of Boulder, but cannot commit to commuting for meetups too. Facetime has worked just fine! Please ask me any questions on here, or we can set up a call. I value my time, as I’m sure you value yours. This is also a transparency and security measure for me. An overnight includes staying through breakfast routine the next day. Staying longer into the day after that is an additional charge. My services DO include: feeding, medication administration, walking/litterbox changing, playtime, and unlimited cuddles as desired within reasonable windows of time. I’ll also bring your mail in and water houseplants. My services DO NOT include: grooming, training, transportation, errand running, snow shoveling, lawn mowing, or gardening. ***Petsitting DOES NOT include house management: receiving, coordinating, or interacting with contractors or third parties of any sort or being present at specific times to receive deliveries. (if you just need a door left unlocked/key left for housekeepers etc. that’s totally fine). Though I may respond, I put my phone on ‘do not disturb from 9pm-9am. I typically send 1-2 updates per day.

Information Brenna S. would like to know about your pet

While petcare info is generally pretty easy to manage, I ask that you write any dosage or food amounts or specific instructions in your booking or out on paper for me to reference.

A typical day

I try to keep daily activities pretty close to pets’ regular routine in your home to keep them happy. Even the easiest going of friends can feel a bit disoriented when their family is away, so my goal is as close to normal or better. I hope they view it as a slumber party! I will care for your pet with the same love and attention as if they’re my own. *I do need to be able to come and go for reasonable windows of time, extreme separation anxiety that must be *constantly* supervised is not the right fit for me. * I also don’t restrict my schedule to accommodate in-person handoffs * at the start or end of your trip. **If I will need a physical key for access, you’ll need to be able hide it outside or leave it somewhere specific at the trip start time. Lockboxes are an affordable and simple solution that both Rover and I recommend, if you’re uncomfortable hiding a key. Standard night includes all feeding & medication administration and 2-3 30 minute walks/day or daily litterbox cleanings. One night also includes am breakfast routine the following morning, anything beyond that is an additional charge.

Pet care experience

I’ve been petsitting for several years now and have taken care of HUNDREDS of pets! I cover a lot of ground and have a longer profile than many to save us both time😁 In addition to petsitting I work remotely, so my hours are flexible and I am able to be present for the significant majority of the day. I am responsible and clean. I’m patient, friendly, and fun. I love all animals! I’m good with all types, the attention driven to the space lovers. Whoever your buddy is I’m ready to give them what they need. I will actually play with them and cuddle and treat them like they’re my own! I’m also happy to help with aquariums and terrariums and all their inhabitants. I am definitely a plant lady myself. Whether you love dogs or cats, let’s all agree birds are the weirdest. Im going to draw the line at birds. Just kidding, I’ll take care of your chickens too!

Brenna did a wonderful job taking care of Buster. She communicates well, is prompt and adjusted her schedule to help when flight issues arose. We will definitely use Brenna to sit in the future.

Brenna did an awesome job looking after our house during a 10-day stay. She clearly took great care of the place, and we appreciated her frequent updates. That said, the dog care didn't match what we agreed on. Our senior dog usually gets 2 walks per day, but he often received only 0–1 walks, with frequent time in our very small backyard being used in place of walks. Even after a mid-stay reminder about giving him a morning + evening walk, this routine didn't happen consistently. Our pup was safe and fed, but keeping a semblance of his usual routine with 2 walks per day was the main reason we looked for housesitting instead of boarding. Because the exercise and routine didn't match what we had agreed upon, we would not book with her again.
