“Jacquie was very sweet from the start. Asking all the right questions for Willy’s first time meeting her. She gave me great updates throughout the day, and effortlessly accommodated when I had to ask for a later pick up time. Willy was so sad when we were leaving. We can’t wait to go back!”

“Leah was so great with Lilo!! We did a meet and greet with her and Tucker beforehand and it went really well :) They were both so chill! Leah took good care of Lilo and they had a fun day as I could see from the updates/pictures she sent ☺️ Looking forward to the next time Lilo can stay with Leah!”
“Rebecca and Katie (and Blue) were amazing sitters. Lefty felt so comfortable and happy; she had such a good time she wasn't ready to leave! We received pictures and updates. It was great to know Lefty was in great hands.”
“Jason took great care of our puppy Oak while we were moving. He took Oak for multiple walks each day and he kept us updated with pictures throughout the day. Jason was flexible and accommodating with our schedule. Oak seemed very comfortable with Jason. Overall he is a great sitter!”

About: My partner Matt and I recently had our 14 year old husky cane corso mix named Millie pass away. We had her since she was a small puppy and tried our best to give her the best life full of hikes, treats and love. We're not ready to permanently fill our home, so we are wanting to support other pet parents while they are away. We understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets while away, especially if they are older and have medical needs. We have experience with injectable medication, oral medication, and urinary incontinence. Millie was a people friendly lady, but did not like other animals, so we are very well versed in that sort of aggression and how to handle those situations. I work hybrid-remote and my partner works from home, so someone will be home at all times. A doggy door gives your pet access to a fenced backyard and frequent potty breaks at their convenience. One household's pet(s) at a time ensures your pet(s) receives our full care and attention without the stress of unfamiliar pets. We live in a safe and quiet neighborhood giving your dog access to safe walks with many new smells. Your pet's comfort is our priority, we have a comfortable dog beds for every room, and their choice of couch to lay on. We know training a pet is tough work, any pet boundaries, routines, or food restrictions will be upheld; let us know of any. If your pet suffers from anxiety, we also offer doggie daycare so they can get used to our home in a short term setting before their longer overnight stay. They can be reassured that whenever you leave, you always come back :)
“First time using Rover and have one deaf and one very nervous pup…so i was a bit unsure about having a sitter for them! Savanah was SO great with them and really patient in allowing them time to warm up and acclimate!”

“Johan was fabulous! I got photo updates throughout the day, and my pup came home well loved, snuggled, and worn out!! Suki is such a good playmate! Will 100% book again. Thank you so much!”

“I'm so grateful for the excellent care Nadia takes of Pierogi. He always runs into her house every morning ready for another fun day. He gets to go on walks, hang in the backyard, play with all of Newton's toys, and have couch snuggle time. She is very responsive to his needs and a great communicator. So glad we found Nadia and fam!”

About: As a lifetime animal lover, I've had the pleasure of being a pet parent, rescue pup foster mom, and repeat sitter for friends & family. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and many different medical needs. I work from home, so I will be with your pup the majority of the time. I do not have a yard but I take multiple daily dog walks (plus a final potty break before bed). I'm centrally located in Denver and live with one 65-lb mixed breed dog and a small bird (caged while around dogs). My dog has welcomed a variety of other dogs into our home and has always been very friendly. I live across from a park, which is perfect for meet-and-greets with other dogs on neutral ground. I allow my dog on furniture and I don't feed her from the table. I am happy to keep consistent with rules and habits you prefer your dog to follow! In case of emergency, I have go-to vets for both regular and 24-hour care but am happy to default to your preferred vet.
“Krissy was super easy to communicate with and was great with our dog, Daphne! She took her on walks and sent us pictures/updates throughout the day. Daphne was well taken care of and had a fantastic day! We will definitely rebook with Krissy for future pet care needs!”

“We used Melissa for doggy day care where she catered to our puppy for the whole day. She is super friendly and responsive, sent updates, and cared for our pet while we were away. We picked him up and he was super happy and tuckered out. Would definitely book with her again, highly recommend if you need someone to watch your furry friend!”

About: I have loved animals my entire life and have good experience taking care of dogs and cats of all kind. I volunteered at the Humane Society as a kid, and grew up with cats. My husband and I had a sweet German shepherd mix who lived a long 14 years, and one day we hope to get another dog of our own. I know firsthand how wonderful it is to find someone you trust to care for your babies while you’re out of town! I am dedicated to making you feel reassured and confident that your animals are in great hands, so you can enjoy your time away. I work remotely, so I have the ability to help out often during the week day as needed. I have lots of free time at night and also during weekends. I have experience caring for pets in their homes and can crate them as needed. I am a trustworthy and reliable person and will provide many updates so that you can be confident your baby is in great hands.
“Samantha watched Daisy for the day and she came home happy! I ended up needing to extend Daisy’s stay by 30 minutes, and Samantha was easy to communicates with and was able to watch Daisy for a little extra time with no issues.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
