“Always amazing! I’m glad I found Nyssa, my dog loves arriving to her house and he never wants to leave. I know he’s taken care of and he loves hanging out with the other dogs.”

“This was my first rover experience and it was great! Ava was so great and super welcoming! My doggies had a great time and I would definitely be contacting Ava anytime I’m in the Denver area 🩷”

About: I have taken care of my friends and all my families dogs by housing, grooming or walking. I used to show dogs be a junior handler and train all kinds of dogs for obedience, confirmation and agility. We work from home, so we are home all day and week. We have a 5 year old cane corso and a 1 year old winner dog both males and a 12 year old female cat. I let out my dogs whenever they want to go outside they get fed twice a day morning and night. They get new toys every month from bark box. We used to make dog food but our dogs are picky and don’t like the same food all the time.

“Roo had a fantastic time! Came home exhausted and very happy! Very reassuring to know my dog is in such good care while I’m gone. Chris is great about keeping in contact and sending lots of photos. Highly recommend!!”

“Absolutely great!!! I am so happy I found Jessie! My dog Sasha was well cared for, I know! Picture updates throughout the day and worn out pup in the evening! Will definitely use again!”
About: I'm looking to board fun and energetic dogs. I have a large backyard and a very respectful and energetic spayed female. My ideal situation is to find dogs that are respectful and love to interact with other dogs. Weve had Tina since she was just a puppy. She's able to walk off leash and does very well with dogs around her size. Our home is safe, we have several crates and a gate. Our backyard is large and we just got a new fence to help keep the pups in. Our neighborhood is very quiet and safe as well. You'd feel comfortable arriving and leaving. We monitor play and potty breaks and also have a camera in the backyard. Open, just let me know and I will try to make it happen. Overnight works and just to stop by in the day as well. All care will be done by me. All walks, supervision, feeds, and so on. I will be the only point of contact. My backyard is large and has a newly installed fence. I have several crates in our home to house your pet if requested. Tina enjoys running around and doesn't play with her mouth. She loves to run in circles with other dogs and doesn't not have a history of aggression. She is spayed as well.
About: I’m a lifelong pet owner with experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and ages. I previously worked at a veterinary clinic, where I cared for pets with a wide range of needs, including feeding, walking, medicating, and supporting animals that were injured, anxious, or recovering. I treat every pet like family and aim to keep them happy, comfortable, and well cared for in their own routine. At home I have a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees who is dog reactive, so I’m very familiar with handling animals with behavioral needs and using patience, structure, and awareness to keep everyone safe and comfortable. I also work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I’m available for drop-in visits and walks on most weekends and holidays. I’d love to get to know your pet and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away! I work from home, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and allows me to be very flexible and attentive. I’m able to take breaks throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins, and I can adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s specific needs. I’m available for drop-in visits and walks on most weekdays and weekends, as well as most holidays. Because I’m home often, pets in my care get plenty of supervision, attention, and consistency throughout the day. In my home, I provide a calm, structured, and pet safe environment for both dogs and cats, with a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor time for dogs. I take introductions between animals slowly and thoughtfully based on each pet’s comfort level and temperament, and I make sure cats have their own safe, quiet spaces to relax. Because I have experience with a reactive dog, I am very mindful of body language, boundaries, and creating a low stress environment for all pets. I can separate animals when needed to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. In clients’ homes, I prioritize maintaining your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter box care, and any medications, so they feel secure in their own space. I am attentive to home safety as well, such as locking doors and securing leashes or harnesses, and I always provide updates so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: My partner Matt and I recently had our 14 year old husky cane corso mix named Millie pass away. We had her since she was a small puppy and tried our best to give her the best life full of hikes, treats and love. We're not ready to permanently fill our home, so we are wanting to support other pet parents while they are away. We understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets while away, especially if they are older and have medical needs. We have experience with injectable medication, oral medication, and urinary incontinence. Millie was a people friendly lady, but did not like other animals, so we are very well versed in that sort of aggression and how to handle those situations. I work hybrid-remote and my partner works from home, so someone will be home at all times. A doggy door gives your pet access to a fenced backyard and frequent potty breaks at their convenience. One household's pet(s) at a time ensures your pet(s) receives our full care and attention without the stress of unfamiliar pets. We live in a safe and quiet neighborhood giving your dog access to safe walks with many new smells. Your pet's comfort is our priority, we have comfortable dog beds for every room, and their choice of couch to lay on. We know training a pet is tough work, any pet boundaries, routines, or food restrictions will be upheld; let us know of any. If your pet suffers from anxiety, we also offer doggie daycare so they can get used to our home in a short term setting before their longer overnight stay. They can be reassured that whenever you leave, you always come back :)

“Jess has been absolutely amazing with my dog, Flora, for our weekly care. Flora became instantly comfortable with Jess and her family because they treat her like one of their own. Jess is flexible, very responsive, and incredibly trustworthy. I feel completely comfortable leaving my pup with her, knowing she’s in such good hands. I’m so grateful to have found someone Flora loves and feels so comfortable with!”

“Cedric stayed overnight with Jacque and didn't want to leave when we came to get him. He apparently had a great time. Cedric loved her and we would use Jacque again anytime.”

About: Your pup will have plenty of company and attention while they’re here! I work from home full time, so there’s a real human around throughout the day, along with my own friendly, dog-loving pups who are always happy to have a new friend around. 🐾 Our home is a great fit for dogs who enjoy being part of the family. My dogs are friendly, social, and used to sharing their space with other pups. I love giving dogs the opportunity to play, hang out together, or simply relax side-by-side depending on their personality and energy level. I’m always mindful that every dog is different, so I let them set the pace and make sure everyone is comfortable. We have a fully fenced backyard with lots of grass, a covered patio, and a doggy door so pups can easily go in and out. Whether they want to run around and play, lounge outside in the shade, or curl up next to me while I work, there are plenty of ways for them to enjoy their day. I’ve been caring for dogs for more than 20 years, from playful puppies to sweet seniors, and I genuinely love having dogs in my home. My goal is for your pup to feel comfortable, included, and right at home while they’re here. I’ll also send regular photo updates throughout their stay, so you can see all the fun they’re having and know they’re happy and well cared for! ❤️ With two dogs of my own and working from home full time, pet care is already a natural part of my daily rhythm, something I genuinely enjoy rather than just manage. Adding your pup to the routine will be seamless (and fun)! Your dog is welcomed into my home like part of the family. Since I work from home, I'm here all day to make sure they're fed on schedule, have regular potty breaks, and never feel left alone or anxious. My fully fenced backyard with a covered patio and doggy door gives them the freedom to go outside whenever they want. Inside, they have a comfortable, calm space to rest, play, or hang out with me and my two dogs while I work. For boarding stays, bedtime routines are kept consistent and your dog has a cozy place to sleep. I'm experienced with dogs of all temperaments, including those with medical needs, and I'll always follow whatever routine and instructions you share with me.
“Left our girl for the afternoon and she had fun playing with another dog and being part of the family there. They let us know she was doing well. They seem very experienced watching the dogs.”

“Leah was so great with Lilo!! We did a meet and greet with her and Tucker beforehand and it went really well :) They were both so chill! Leah took good care of Lilo and they had a fun day as I could see from the updates/pictures she sent ☺️ Looking forward to the next time Lilo can stay with Leah!”

ANYSSA WAS GREAT! She sent pictures throughout the day which I loved. Aaron had so much fun and exhausted when I got him home. I would use her again in the future if the need arrises. I felt confident that my little boy was in good hands and didn't worry about him at all. Thank you Anyssa!
We submitted a last-minute request for a daytime booking, and we were so grateful that Clay and Taylor accepted! Rusty had stayed with them a few months ago, so it was great to know the door was open for him to return again :) We needed to drop him off quite early, but they were ok with that, and sent updates throughout the day. It’s comforting to know that Rusty receives such great care and attention, and is able to hang out with Copper. Thank you so much again, Clay and Taylor! :)

As of September 2026, there are 4,543 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Derby. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Derby commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
