“Megan was phenomenal and went above and beyond keepin our four-legged friends happy while we were gone! Strongly recommend this good energy, pet person for any sitting service!”
“Great sitter! She took great care of my cat and communicated well about any updates during check ins. My cat seems to have warmed up to her so much by the end that she looks at the door during the previously scheduled check in times!”

“Darla did such an amazing job caring for my senior kitty while I was away for work this week. I came home to a happy kitty, clean house and a sweet thank you card and treats which was a lovely touch. Darla saved us when a sitter cancelled last minute so I’m extra appreciative. Thanks so much Darla!! 🐾 ❤️”
“Laura helped me out with a last minute emergency. My poor puppy is recovering from surgery and a slipped disc, but he was in good hands with her. She sent lots of pictures and took detailed notes. I will definitely book with Laura again, and I highly recommend her services.”

“Amy was incredibly sweet and took great care of my cat. My cat ran right up to Amy when they first met and immediately loved her. She followed all the instructions perfectly!”

“Katie did a great job hanging out with my new kitten and kept him entertained and energized during her drop-in visits. She had great updates and followed sitter instructions perfectly. We would gladly have Katie sit for us again!”

“Kim was friendly, knowledgeable and generous. I did not have time to make lick mats. She made some! She was available on fairly short notice. My dog was happy when I got home!”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life, there has always been a dog in my house. Currently I have a 5 year old pitbull-cattle dog mix who is very quirky. I have fed, walked, and taken care of pets for my friends, family, and others. Additionally I have fostered dogs before so I am familiar with timid or sensitive animals. I have experience with dogs all sizes. I alap have experience with food aggression and reactive dogs when on walks and know how to handle it. I am in school to become an esthetician, we have all day class on Tuesdays, but every other day of the week I am available to take care of your sweet pets! While I don’t offer watching pets in my home overnight, I can easily adapt to the setup in your home. Whether that be crating, backyard time, frequent walks, etc.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 15 years of dog sitting experience. Whether it’s for friends, family, or Rover clients - I sincerely enjoy providing peace of mind to pet parents and the highest quality care for dogs. It's been a while since I've been active on Rover and I’m not sure how my rating is so low. Perhaps it’s from a boarding booking I completed in San Diego. I naively accepted this booking without a meet & greet. The owner was not forthcoming about her senior dog’s cognitive functioning, and additionally the little dude had diarrhea 30 minutes after drop off, and continued relieving himself anywhere but outside throughout the stay. I was communicative throughout the stay and followed her instructions on how to try and get him to go potty outside (instead of inside every single time, usually after a 10-20 minute walk). Nothing worked and sadly the little guy had to spend a lot of time crated. I had to contact Rover about it because I had no experience at the time with incontinent senior dogs. My rates are currently discounted so that I can build trust and establish a client base, while providing 5-star pet sitting to new clients 😊 I’ve spent the last 5 years working in the corporate world as an Operations Manager. I knew deep down it wasn’t what I wanted to be doing, but I was really good at it and it paid well. After being laid off earlier this year - I took it as a sign that it’s time to pursue my real passion of pet care and animal welfare. Now that I have all this free time, I am filling it with volunteering at shelters, pet sitting for friends & family, and finally utilizing the Karen Pryor dog training course/materials that I started 2 years ago (but gave up on because I was too burnt out from work). TLDR: I can be home all day and am excited to offer my pet care services on Rover again! Spending time with dogs has always come naturally to me. I’m that person at the party who is more interested in hanging out with the host's dog than meeting new people. I have a dog of my own who is very loved and spoiled, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet. My goal is always to make dogs feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. I also have hands on dog training experience and am passionate about positive reinforcement training. I plan to complete the Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (CPT) program in the future to continue expanding my skills. Because of this, I pay close attention to dog body language, routines, and behavior so each dog gets care that fits their personality and needs. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, or just having someone nearby for company, I’m happy to keep them on their usual routine. I’m comfortable with different energy levels and personalities, from playful party animals to laid-back couch companions. You can expect dependable care, regular updates, and lots of attention for your dog while you’re away. I treat every dog like they’re my own and aim to make the experience stress free for both you and your furry family member. • I am home all day and rarely leave for longer than a couple of hours. • I try to keep my Rover schedule up to date for when I am unavailable. • Since I require a meet and greet in advance, please contact me at least two weeks prior to your needed booking date. • My sister and I live together in a house with a fenced yard. She is also an experienced Rover sitter, currently inactive while she works and goes to school. She won't be assisting much, but I like to be transparent about the other humans your dog will be interacting with while they're here. I focus on creating a calm, positive environment and always use reward based interactions so dogs feel safe and confident. I also pay close attention to behavior and body language to ensure each dog’s needs are met. Every dog I care for is treated like part of the family. Plenty of attention, patience, and affection are always included. IMPORTANT: • I've spent many hours training my dog to be a well mannered magnificent mutt :) He loves to play. I’ve noticed this bothers some dogs. • I have a fenced backyard but as an extra safety measure I never leave dogs unattended back there. Regardless, if your dog is an escape artist - this will not be the best fit. • Make sure your dog arrives clean and healthy so that they can enjoy all of the same luxuries my dog does - unlimited access to lounging on furniture, snuggles, petting, and scritches! - Please pack any grooming tools that may be needed over the course of their stay (shampoo, paw wipes, brush, etc.) REQUIRED: • I require that all dogs are up to date on their vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm preventative. I will need vaccination proof, sent through Rover or brought in person at the Meet and Greet. My dog is on Simparica trio in addition to always being up to date on vaccines. • Meet & Greets are required, as far in advance as possible. For extended stay boarding, I offer a discounted doggy day-care rate to prospective clients. I highly recommend this as it allows me to observe how your dog's behavior when you aren't present, prior to your extended absence, which provides greater peace of mind for all involved parties :) • Your dog must be 100% house trained, obedient, and properly socialized in order to have the best time possible during their stay.
“Caitlin was, and is!, awesome! She was so accommodating of our last minute needs. She has great communication and responds in a good timeframe. Our baby looked like he had so much fun and was very happy and excited to play and snuggle with his new friend. We look forward to booking with Caitlin for future trips!”

“Makenzie is awesome. She has sat for my cats a few times and I always know they are in good hands. She’s super communicative, kind, and very trustworthy! Incredibly grateful for her watching my babies while I’m gone!”

“Noel was absolutely amazing, she helped me so much with the extra requests I had and stayed till it was all done, very receptive and kind and I’d totally recommend booking with her!”

“Sabrina was so sweet! She came exactly on-time and took care of my dog perfectly! She had no problem handling my old grumpy dog and I am so appreciative of that. She even gave me some cans of cat food for a stray I found which was super nice! Would definitely book her again if drop ins are needed!”

“Nicole is wonderful! You couldn’t ask for a kinder animal lover! My dog is a tough cookie and she has so much patience and a very gentle way about her. Timely and great communication as well!”

About: I am a responsible young adult. I love animals. I can't walk passed an animal without giving it some lovens.. I have been caring for animals since I was a child. My family and I currently have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 rabbit. I have plenty of experience sitting with your babies while you are away. I have spent time with all breeds of dogs from Chihuahua's to Huskies. I am very active. I have been swimming on a daily basis since I was 6 years old. I spent 12 years on swim teams. I am a 4 year regional competitor. I have reliable transportation. This gives me the opportunity to take classes to further my education and meet my life long goal of becoming a police officer.
About: I have had fur babies for the majority of my life. They are family so I value how a baby is treated! I love cuddling, slobbers and sneaking treats! I work from home full time. I own a company so my hours, times are always flexible. I am able to stay your home if needed to make sure your baby feels safe and secure! Boarding is hard on a baby! Never EVER leash off in public. Even though we have a fenced yard, I don't like the fact that babies are outside in the yard unattended. So even with a fence in keep my eyes on your baby. We have way too many predators!

LeBron was fantastic! Our cat liked her and we were very happy to have someone reliable checking on him in our absence. She sent multiple photos and videos every day. Communication was outstanding! Further, we were a last minute booking, so her willingness and ability to work with us to set it up on a tight timeline really helped make it go smoothly. I highly recommend Erin and we will definitely use her services again when our family member is unavailable for any reason.

Grace was absolutely wonderful with my cat, Bowie! She was incredibly affectionate and attentive, making sure he felt loved and comfortable the entire time I was away. Grace did such a fantastic job that I could travel with total peace of mind. I highly recommend her!

Alexa was very easy to work with and was great at communicating. She was understanding and willing to accommodate a last minute booking. Alexa was very patient in taking care of my cat despite my kitty being very anxious/shy but she ended up warming up to her. I recommend Alexa for pet sitting services!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
